My Name Is NOT Broccoli!

Very cool! Thanks for sharing. I would love to see a sea turtle on shore. I want to do that sometime down at Vero Beach, if we can get some Disney points to stay there.

Charles took a couple pictures of his dad pondering it. :lmao: He was standing some feet away from it and just looking very interested. I've only ever seen sea turtles at the aquarium. I would love to see one on shore, as well!

Hawaii, and especially Disney Hawaii, sounds really good, but the airplane ride to get there would be too much for me, I think. I can take the less than two hours from BNA to MCO, but I am more than ready to get off when we land!

For Charles it was a two-part plane ride. From Boston to Chicago, then Chicago to Oahu. Boston to Chicago was only about three hours (about the same distance from Boston to Orlando), but Chicago to Oahu was 9 hours. I'm sure you can tell from pictures that Charles is a big guy (he's 6'5") so it got pretty uncomfortable for him. He also goes mental on long drives so I am really surprised he didn't flip out on that long flight from Chicago to Oahu!

Has anyone been to the Wishes Dessert Party? I booked it for our June trip and was wondering how it was.

We just went to one the 11. We loved it and I would definitely do it again. Would you like me to post some pictures? It was sooo yummy. I was glad we went hungry.

Also I started my trip report if anybody wants follow along. The link is in my signature.

CanadianWDW, I am going to look for those planters here. Lexi would love that.

Megablocks, your bf's pictures from Hawaii are beautiful.

I was fortunate enough to partake in the Wishes Dessert party.

Go hungry - there are so many goodies to choose from. If you have any other questions I will try to answer them.

Beautiful pictures of Hawaii.

I'll try not to stress myself about about the flight to Hawaii until I am booked. As much as I would love to go there in person, I think having a fake Hawaii in my classroom for a unit or at home for a party is going to be as close as I ever get!

If I had a Bucket List, seeing the sea turtles come up to shore to lay eggs would be an event that would be on it.

Pictures are always a treat. :woohoo:

I'm in on your report! Just arriving at Pop. I'm cool with that. :hippie:

Beautiful pictures of Hawaii.

The reason I specifically remembered kschafer is because I got a souvenir chocolate-covered strawberry from her!

I can't even imagine eating that many sweets at once, so I know I would get nowhere near my money's worth. Probably not a fourth of my money's worth. I'd probably still do it anyway, if it was just a few dollars cheaper. In other words, I would overpay, since it's Disney related, but it's a little above my 'overpay' range.

Do you think you'll make the journey to Hawaii when the new resort opens?

*************************************

I like the weather I was having last week at this time. It was rainy yesterday, and it is cool this morning. Hearing the heater cut on is a far cry from the 80-88 degree temperatures we were enjoying last week. Hurry up, spring!!!

We'll try to get things started on the new report in the next day or two. Jill has Open House at school this afternoon, and I have a guy from church coming over to give me an estimate for fixing up my bathroom a little. This house is 40 years old and in need of much repair. It'll have to be done a tiny little bit at a time, though. I'm going to get estimates for several things and see what my income tax refund allows me to do.

Jill will link the new report here, of course.

You guys have a beautiful Sunday!

I hope I have a beautiful Sunday...I now work Sundays instead of Saturdays and it still feels weird.
It was nice yesterday though...:rotfl:

Good luck with the home improvements!

I hope I don't miss the new TR while I'm at work...I'll check in tonight. :goodvibes

Wishes Dessset Party pictures would be great. We are taking my niece and nephew for their first trip in June. I thought it would be better to have them occupied with eating yummy treats while waiting for Wishes. Also, it would be so much easier than having to wait on the curb for 2 hours only to have someone come up at the last minute and get in front of them. Plus, Tink flies over your head. I know that my niece will love that.

Good morning from rainy East TN! I am so tired of rain. You missed the flooding rains. Our ground is so saturated that I am afraid we will flood again.
Great pics of Hawaii. Looks like they were from the black sand beach on the Big Island and Hanamau Bay on Oahu. I have been to both and they are beautiful. I have seen the turtles lying on the beach which is so neat! You should try to go to Hawaii. It is my favorite place in the world besides WDW. It is my DH's fav place. We are going this summer with our friends. I can't wait!
Can't wait for the new TR to start!

Through a series of circumstances I ended up going at no additional cost to me. :cool1:

I will admit at that price it was so worth it. :lmao:

I will admit to overindulging on the sweets and I can imagine if I had had dinner earlier and paid for it, I would feel like I wasn't getting my money's worth.
I had a nice filling lunch and that carried me over to the dessert party.

Would I book it for myself???? Not sure but I would definitely be looking for a "deal" of some sort or for a special occasion.

As for Hawaii, oh the want is there but the purse needs to be there too and I do not see that happening. Maybe I need to play the lottery ??

It wasn't that bad here - cold in the morning, but mild in the daytime.

We were happy to meet you and your mom, too. I love that you guys love being together and doing fun things as friends. I treasure the fact that Jill and I have that, too.

It's been warmer here this weekend. It's 56 right now :cool1:

I do love hanging out with my mom. We have a lot of fun :)

Today is Caleb's 2nd birthday! I can't believe Kazin and Caleb are both 2 now

I'm catching up! Glad you are back and going to start a new trip report for me! (lol, i mean us)
I truly hope you had a great time with the family!

Looking forward to the TR when you are caught up with life!

KIM

Jill said she thinks she can get it started tonight. I'm guessing there are about 1200 pictures and videos, so divided into 17 weeks, that should keep us busy until we leave in July.

Having a seat without waiting for a long time on the curb is a definite perk. We might give it a try sometime.

I will look forward to awesome Hawaii pictures.

Drew told me about all the rain. It's been gloomy here all weekend. I liked the 80+ degrees and sunny quite a bit more. :cool2:

Have a wonderful time and soak up plenty of Disney Magic for all of us!!!!

:worship: THANK YOU MeMom & Jill for the photos of the new mugs, they look lovely :cool1:
Also, MeMom hugging palm tree :woohoo:

As I was scrolling back through, I realized we had 'new' readers, and I wanted to be sure and welcome you personally - IndianaHoosier and Marl! :wave2: We hope you'll come along on the newest adventure, too!

Free is my favorite price for things! :dance3:

We'd have to do the same - just have it as our supper. Is everything sweet sweet, though, or is there some salty? I like sweet in small doses. A lot at once kind of makes me cringe a little.

Bella will be 2 in April. It's been a quick two years, and lots of fun! :lovestruc

I was looking at the first set of pictures today. I did a lot of smiling. :goodvibes

Its been raining here all day. Hope the estimate wasn't to bad.

He is going to send me an itemized list later this week, and I can choose what I want to do from that. I'll just have to see where I can get the biggest bang for my buck. The stove is #1, I think. He says the tub and floor is not as bad as I thought, so it could move to #3 and the kitchen floor could bump up to #2. We shall see!

Wow, you're good! I just grabbed random pictures but you are right. They stayed on Oahu so Hanamau Bay was one of the places they went, and they flew from Oahu to the big island for a day. They also got to see Pearl Harbor. My BF and his family were lucky enough to go b/c his dad had to go there for a conference for work and he asked if he could bring his family. They said yes, so they had their hotel room paid for for four days and then paid for another four days themselves. My boyfriend would love to go back but I think the plane ride was a bit much for him. He hasn't been to Disney, so I'm hoping that one day I can convince him by telling him that it's only three hours on a plane, as opposed to twelve. :rotfl:

MeMom, I can't wait for you to get started on the new report! Maybe by the time it ends and you go in July, we'll have a trip for next year planned. Hopefully!

Lots of sweet. I think they also had some cookies but I do not remember any salty. You may need to sneak in some salty.

Hope you are all doing alright getting back into the swing of reality, boring as it may be! Now you can start the countdown for how many days left until July 2! (I believe that's when you go in July lol) :goodvibes

I thought so. I have been lucky to go 4x in my life and my knowledge of Hawaii is embarrassingly vast. I have studied so much about Hawaii because of my trips. My DH and I can usually name the places in Hawaii we see in movie scenes. I am a Hawaii geek. I am slipping a little since it has been four years since I have been there though. It is being replaced by Disney facts.

oh my...the wishes dessert partiy pictures about put me in sugar overload! and I LOVE sweets so I would love to do it but would probably be sick afterwards because I would have to get my monies worth! LOL!

So glad you had a wonderful time!! I loved reading the end of the report, and like everyone else, I totally sympathize with Brooklyn's sad look! Shucks, isn't that all of us, just with a few more laugh lines!!! Okay maybe more than a few.. HA! :rotfl: I bet we all look just like her when we leave Disneyworld!

I hope you will share your recent trip with everyone! I really liked hearing about the fun you were having. And I know the weather was beautiful, so I glad that the sun was out for you, too! :goodvibes

I will be ready for the July trip. I fee like this last one went by so quickly. I hope you do have one booked. It makes life happier to have a trip on the books. :cool1:

Lots of sweet. I think they also had some cookies but I do not remember any salty. You may need to sneak in some salty.

Yes, that is much sugar. I would need to have some of the fruit items and sneak in a back of pretzels. ;) It all looks great, no doubt, but I just like my sweets in small bits and pieces rather than all at once. If Jill ever wants to do it, I'll do it, but it'll be a splurge I'll just go into knowing I won't be getting anywhere near my money's worth.

I needed to catch up on sleep!!!

I have to look it up, but I think it was seventeen weeks from Saturday. I'll check that out in a few minutes.

The weather was great, and I am missing it. It's been gloomy here, and the high yesterday was 37. I want to go back and sit on the Poly beach in the warmth of that sunshine! :cool2:

I try to hold my pouting in when I leave, but I don't know if I do very well. It helps to know when the next trip is, though. I start counting again right away. ;)

You're right MeMom, in 17 weeks we'll be in Disney. :) We're leaving July 2nd & will get there the afternoon of the 3rd. Can't wait!!
