It hasn't been a bad day. I was pretty strict from the minute they entered so that they would know we were back to business. I was informed that some kids in my Reading group played with 'blocks' (unifix cubes) during center time. Not sure what the sub thought they could learn about reading from that, but at least he stayed all three days. I'm sure that was some hard-earned money. They did take one of my problem children to another class, though, so he didn't get a full dose of the reality that is my classroom.

So glad you made it home safe. I am happy you had a great time! I loved the pics of facebook and phone pics. You should be glad you missed the weather we had while you were gone. July will be here before you know it! I hope you have a great rest of the week.

My DSis gave a week trip to Disney to me and my twin girls for Christmas. I wasn't sure when we would be able to go back since money is tight with DH back in school so it was the best surprise ever! We will be there in 2 days.

Also - are we still planning a NYE bash? I've looked at rooms & flights and of course they're not cheap BUT with 9+ months to save, it could work. Who's already in for that trip?

NYE is still on, and it looks like there will be quite a crowd. We're booked for December 25th through January 2nd, so count us in. (We are paying an outrageous price for a value, however. )

I was at the lovely Polynesian Resort just a couple of days ago sitting out on the beach while Brooklynn played in the sand. It was so peaceful and relaxing. I'm ready for that 'Ohana dinner!

This past week was a horrible week for me, but your family made it a little better Looking forward to the TR!

It's no good to have a horrible week, but it's great to have Disney pick-me-ups in the midst of them.

It was good to see you again. It is so funny that I was just about to text you when you walked up and tell you to look for the 'rough' people sitting at the pool. We were windblown and tired, and I was just sitting there thinking what a sight I must be when you walked up.

Just checking in really quick. We had 14 new students start on Monday while I was gone and today was picture day, plus we are in the middle of registration for next school year, open house is this weekend, and I had to do 2 tours for prospective families. After work we drove to a town about 45 minutes from the house because my friend just had her 2nd little girl on Tuesday. We visited them at the hospital and brought them dinner. The girls are in bed sleeping soundly and I am very glad tomorrow is Friday!

We're a silly bunch, aren't we? As soon as I drop my kids off at lunch, I go back to my room and pull up the DIS.

You will be better off than us, as crowds will lessen and prices will, too, after the 1st.

Since we're doing 'Ohana on July 4th, we were thinking of doing 1900 Park Fare for dinner on NYE, but if a whole crowd is going to be there for NYE, I guess we might reconsider. I want to be sure they allow us on the beach, of course. If we do, and if we are lucky enough to score a reservation, maybe we can just add your number (3 of you?) to our ADR. I think you can have up to a party of 12 right now, and I doubt we'll have that many. We can talk later.

Saw Katie mention something about a 4th meet and had to jump in. I'm tentatively thinking of a trip for the shuttle launch currently scheduled for June 28. I wasn't going to include Disney in this trip since I have my November trip in the works but if there's going to be a Poly fireworks meet, I just might try to fit that in the plans (assuming the launch isn't seriously delayed)
