Starlight and fireworks - best timing and best spot?

We will be going to MK on Saturday April 18th
We have never seen starlight and are very excited about it! We also want to see HEA from the hub or Main Street (we have first timers in our group)
We are planning to stay till close (11PM) and are wondering on the best scenario
There is a 8:30 and a 10:30 showing of starlight, and HEA is at 9:30
Should we find a spot for the parade around 7:45-8:00 and stay till fireworks, or find a spot for fireworks around 8:45-9:00 and stay until the parade?
We would like to ride a few rides after dinner, either before or after parade/ fireworks depending on the timing
Any thoughts?

If you have first timers, prioritizing a good fireworks spot on Main Street or near the hub around 8:45 makes sense since that experience is more immersive. Then stay in place for the later parade at 10:30, which is usually less crowded. You could fit a couple of rides earlier in the evening before securing your viewing spot.
