My MK FPs- thinking of this correctly?

Hi, everyone. Our first family trip (8-year old son) is happening soon. We'll be in MK for sure Friday, 2/6 and hoping it wouldn't be horribly busy. My son isn't a big fan of the bigger coasters so will play it by ear.

Tomorrowland Speedway 12:25-1:25
Pirates of the Caribbean 2:25-3:25
Jungle Cruise 3:30-4:30

I'm guessing we'll go to Fantasyland first thing and do as much there. I honestly don't want to be crazy and rush around since I would like to experience the Disney environment as much as possible- so if that's stopping and taking pics or doing whatever, we're all for it.

I don't like having preplanned times but understand how it can save us time. Would it be better to do the FPs later in the afternoon and early evening?

Thanks.

I don't see why that would be an advantage.
After you use the first three FP+, you can then get more FP+ reservations, one-at-a-time.
The later you wait, the fewer additional good FP+ choices you would have.

In fact, I'd make my first FP+ for at least in the 11AM hour.

That makes sense. Thank you. For whatever reason, my mind doesn't work in planning like this. :)
