My ** Memories of Ma **Pre-Trip Report

15 days!!!!
this equals
two weeks
one day

last night was my college's 150th birthday!
It was a BEAUTIFUL homecoming ceremony! and it was actually in the building I live in!
It was a totally last minute thing. The dinner tickets were only sold until Monday and I didn't get one but when I came back two of my girlfriends said after the dinner part everyone could come and dance, so we did!
I will definitely post pictures as soon as I get them onto flickr!
It was so beautiful, I could not have imagined having my senior homecoming any other way or with any other friends
Living on campus this year has definitely helped me out a lot. The people, as always, are wonderful at this campus. I love the family I have made here!

As for my trip,
we are still waiting for Linds!
in the mean time, the wheels are spinning in my head trying to figure out how I will still have MY trip if she joins for two days

I kind of like the challenge! it's like planning a whole new trip!

I just checked accuweather, because they go 15 days out and in 15 days I will be able to see the first day I am there and it's projected high is 68 degrees
this coming week looks absolutely beautiful with highs in the 80s, so for everyone going this week, enjoy!

I really, really, really hope that the weather temp goes up for my week. I don't mind the mid 60s, but high 70s would be preferable

especially since I bought about five pairs of capris *all on clearance yay!
I just have to figure out which tops to bring...hmmm...


On Thursday I get to do online check in!!!!!!!!!!!!
tomorrow my girlfriend is going to let me know if she can
join me. If so I have to change many of my plans and I noticed there are no character breakfasts available when she will be there. Part of me really likes the idea of being solo, but the fun and challenge of creating a new itinerary is always exhilarating! oh, only a diser would understand!

I am excited!

So today my girlfriend Lindsay told me she couldn't afford to join me for a few days

I am a little bummed, but for the past few months I have been planning this solo trip, so I will be just fine
I get to do online check in

THREE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!

I am one research paper, one presentation and two finals
away from being on winter break!

12 days!!!!!
two days until online check in!!!!

so last night I was checking accuweather.com and to my delight it said
my day of arrival's high would be 80!!!!
but then I checked this morning and it went back down to a high of 68
now, don't get me wrong, I'm coming from Chicago at the end of Novembur!
Of course I would love high 60s, BUT
I would LOVE higher 70s


right now I am enjoying a Cobb Salad from our deli on campus and it is quite delightful!
kind of gets me in the mood except I'm not eating at Brown Derby, which I am considering,
I have wanted to eat at Yachtsman for years now but my ressie is at 7:20 and Fantasmic will let out at 7, so I am debating if it would be worth it just to eat in the park?
any suggestions?

I just came across your pre trip and wanted to say that I am very sorry about your Mom and I bet she would be so happy that you are going back to Disney. We are going in December to see the Christmas decorations and can't wait. I know it stinks that your friend couldn't go but I think it will be good for you just to do what you want and not to have to worry about other people. I hope you have a great trip you deserve it

I'm still here! I've gotten behind on my favorite TR's (even gotten behind on my own). School has been really busy. Just when I think I'm caught up, I realize I'm behind again! (It's hard going back to school when you're "old" )

I am also getting ready for finals soon, then I'm hoping to get caught up on some TR's, then it will be time for our trip!! Can't wait to hear all about your trip when you get back!

I'm here too! I've been lurking reading all kinds of trip reports to get some ideas...but still think I may just play it by ear.

So we're 12 days out and I've decided it would be fun to get sick. We've been having crazy weather going hot to cold and my sinuses can't handle it. I do have a doctors appointment tomorrow because I don't want to take a chance of it getting worse right before I leave. Hopefully I'll get some good meds to clear it right up.

Sorry your friend couldn't end up making it. That would have been super awesome but I know you'll still have a great time. I'm gonna set my alarm super early Thursday morning so I can do on-line check in before I go to work! Hopefully my 3 days at work next week will fly by!

Keep us posted how school finishes up.

school is hard at any age! I work full-time and find it really hard to keep everything together. plus, you're a mom! there you have two full time jobs! I can't wait to be on the plane on my way there good luck on your finals! you will do fabulous!

so, as bitter as I was becoming about the "low" highs projected for my stay (high 60s)
I took a look at Chicago's projected highs for that week
yea, a nice 36 degrees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I will shut my trap about it being too "cold" in Florida!!!

I will take a near 70 degree day over Chicago cold
ANYDAY!
definitely changed my perspective

I got my Media research paper back, B+
everything has been a B in that class, so
my final should be a B.

I'm getting an A in my jogging class and just have one more sweat session as I like to say about that class

as for my Advanced writing,
tomorrow my research paper worth 25% of my grade is due
and I present in a group about it

dun dun dun!

Checking in on your ptr live from wdw!!! Its getting so close to ypur trip now! The weather here has been beautiful all week, im keeping my fingers crosses you have beautiful weather too!

Made it to the doctor today, she says it's allergies but I doubt it. I've never had chest congestion when my allergies act up and then she thought maybe it was asthma. Since it's been a week I've had all this she did give me antibiotics and an inhaler and nose spray. I'm gonna use it all up since Disney is getting so close. I don't want sneezing and coughing to get in my way!

I so want to stay up till midnight and try to do on-line check in. I'll probably leave my laptop powered up in case I wake up in the middle of the night with a coughing fit or just do it as soon as my alarm goes off. I'll have to do 2 separate check in's since I have 2 room only ressies. My requests for Pop were for 1st floor of bldg. 9 facing parking or 1st floor of bldg. 8 closest to transportation. I stayed in bldg. 7 last year so I know that area is pretty good. At first I wasn't going to put in a request for CR since I've got the MK view but when I called last week I requested the north end on a high floor. I'm really not gonna be upset if that request doesn't get filled. I'm just excited to stay there and hopefully get it out of my system.

Have fun doing on-line check in. November 27th is getting closer!!!

so this is the post where I scream and talk about my online checkin

WHAT DO YOU MEAN ERROR

apparently one of the many agents I spoke to over the phone
added king bed twice instead of top floor then king bed
even though my friend lulubel has suggested getting two beds
one for luggage, which I might call and ask for
seems pretty smart to me

so the online check in service won't check me in because of the double request for king bed.
oh well, there are still
TEN DAYS
to fix this

yesterday I called and upgraded my park ticket back to a five day
just so I know when I get there NOTHING has to be paid for but
souvenirs!!!!!
I already have looked at the online disney store and I know I want to get a pink gliterry ornament and have my mom's name written on it and probably something like,
"I am my mother's daughter"
or
"Memories of Ma trip"
I will probably get the stand for it, too so I can have it on my desk

I have five pairs of capris, a pair of shorts and a few pairs of long jeans to bring with. I know I have two tops I am definitely going to wear and I have a salmon colored Columbia fleece I am going to wear if it gets cold.
I also have a white shrug for my tank top and dress if I choose to wear the dress, I am still debating. It is red with white stripes across it, kind of reminds me of minnie mouse


any suggestions?!
I am getting SOOOOOOO excited for the Osbourne lights!!!!

Holiday wishes on the poly beach after my dinner at Narcoossee's
the holiday souvenirs
all of the resorts all decorated!
I am eating at the WL, GF, and the YC. but I plan on doing a tour of all of the monorail resorts.
I am tempted to change my narcoossee's to Jiko or another Signature restuarant,

Nerd alert...I brought my laptop to bed with me and ended up waking up at 2:30AM and did on-line check in. I'm assuming it worked because I got the confirmation email. I didn't worry about adding a credit card for this ressie since it's only for 2 nights. I did make sure to up that I was expecting to check in at 7AM and check out Tuesday at 11AM.

Sorry you had trouble but at least you were able to figure out the problem. I was excited to get checked in but now the freakout will begin. I'm sure will be throwing stuff in my suit case next Friday to try and be on the road by 4AM Saturday so I can get into Orlando that early evening and get some rest for the big day Sunday.

I'm like you, hoping for some decent weather. I'm actually wishing that it will be consistant and not the CRAZY weather we're having here. I had the A/C on the past two days and tonight it will get down to 34 and back up into the 80's by Sunday. And I wonder why I'm sick!

I plan to take capris and jeans both to be prepared for the FL weather.

I went in January this year and it was BEAUTIFUL! I didn't even need a fleece and we wore shorts everyday
