The only ritual I have is that I usually wait until the last minute to pack and almost have a nervous breakdown!!

It's been my pleasure reading your PTR. I was pretty much in the same boat as you this time last year...I just wished I would have had a little more time between my sister's passing and my trip. I'm thinking of bringing something of hers with me and pictures of my parents.

I'm going to try and make this a more relaxing trip and not be rushed to do everything at the parks. I had my friend at work laughing when I said all I was really looking forward to doing was eating a chocolate croissant, having a dole whip and a funnel cake! A girl has got to have priorities!!

My trip is going to be the opposite of yours. I want to relax a tiny bit, but mine is going to be full of activity! which is good because I feel if I slow down too much, I might get really sad.
I'm thinking about bringing one of my framed pictures of my mom & I.

My main goals are to make rope drop at all the parks, see the parades at HS and AK, and to see Beauty and the Beast at HS. I also wanna do more resort hopping to see the decorations. Tuesday is the only day I know what I'll be doing because I change resorts and will not be going to the parks. I hope to get my resort hopping done then and DTD to do some shopping. If the weather is nice, I would like to do the Characters in Flight. That thing just looks awesome.

These past 2 days at work have been so LONG. And I know Friday I will be running around trying to get everything done. I just realized I need to go find my charger for my camera and my extra memory cards for it.

Disney is just around the corner!!

Oh how fun! Character in flight does look awesome! I always wanted to do the parasailing at the CR.
I will be feeling that way about work the next three days
basically I am working 2pm tomorrow until 3 pm friday.
but I have saturday off!!!!!!!

This trip I will have TWO batteries for my kodak camera. I have one memory card that can hold about 1600 pictures

4 days!!!1 *once I am ready to go to bed, it's officially the next day

I am three work days away!!!!

I took my two finals today. My Adv. Writing final was tough
the essay part was iffy, I am not sure if I will get a B or a C in the class. The English classes are incredibly hard at my school, and of course, that is my major

My media final went much smoother. I think I did awesome on the multiple choice and rocked the essay portion

SO I am officially finished with my last fall term of my college career!

and I can finally think about Disney without feeling guilty for not studying or focusing on something else

last night was my last night in the dorms until I come back from Disney
I have to pack up everything I MIGHT need for my trip because
we aren't allowed back in the dorms until the 27th at noon
which of course by then I will be in
DISNEY!!!


I am heading over to my aunt's house today
I'm going to show off my outfits for my trip

she's getting ready for her own Florida trip.
Her father passed away two weeks ago and they
are having his funeral in Florida.
Her relationship with her father was much like the one
with my father, but I am lucky to have more time with
mine and change that.

Disney isn't her thing, but that's okay
She did perk up a bit when I mentioned Disney
started their own wine collection

I am so excited!!!!!!

Yay, you're done with this semester! I hope you're grades are awesome. At least you have work to keep you extremely busy for the next few days.

I'll be busy the next few days so try and check in Friday evening. If everything goes OK I'll be hitting the road early Saturday. So if I don't get to talk to you before Saturday, have a wonderful and safe trip. I'm sure you don't need anyone to tell you to enjoy yourself!

When we left work today everyone was asking me to bring them something from Disney. One friend said she wanted to pack herself in my suitcase and I told her she just needed to get in my truck.

And I just read that the Christmas parade start taping that Friday. That'll be my last day and I wanted to hit MK early since I'll be spending the evening at Epcot. Glad I found that out sooner than later.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!*

I am thankful for all of the love that mom instilled in me
all of her wisdom
all of her joy
all of her heart & soul

I am thankful for those that have helped me through my hard times
I am thankful for my two Aunts
I am thankful for all of the friends that have built a new home for me and all of the friends that I have met

I am thankful for who I am
and how far I have come

I am thankful for the opportunity to
go to Disney
I am thankful to experience the magic

I am thankful for all of the love inside of me and all of the love I will get and give in the next year


Last night I had a minor melt down
I cried and just felt so sad
This is my first Thanksgiving without my mom
and while that leaves me with thoughts of
not being thankful, I have to take things in stride
and realize how lucky I have been.
Many people NEVER have a mother, and some that do,
never have the love that my mom gave me

I have to realize and remind myself that it is okay to feel that way
It is okay to be angry and upset, but not let that consume me

so, now I have to go work with 1500 reservations for our brunch and then work at the front desk. today I work 13 hours
that's okay, because I only work one day next week after my vacation

but that's okay because

all last night I could think of was the ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOMing of Rock'n'Roller coaster

but unfortuantely, I couldn't sleep
I have a cold sore
and I am pretty sad

most of it is because of work
on Thanksgiving I worked 12 hours and the last 8 was with
a co-worker who started our shift by saying to my face "I hope this is the WORST Thanksgiving you have ever had"


first of all it WAS
everyone at work knows that this was my first Thanksgiving without my mom

so I stared right into his eyes and said,
"Yes, this is indeed the worst Thanksgiving because my mom is not here. But by NO means does that make you have any influence on how I feel"
I absolutely HATE working with him. He doesn't do his work, he doesn't help at the desk
he walks around the hotel and takes 20 min smoke breaks EVERY HOUR

It really took a toll on me. and then after 12 hours I had to be back in 6!

and on Friday morning all we had was complaint after complaint due to construction
so I know what I am going to do when I check in--
and thank the CMs at the front desk.
I can't believe how rude some people are. truly heart breaking

anyway, sorry for sharing,
but seriously!
I should be stoked but instead my eyelids are droopy and my lip is swollen. so much for being a camera diva

hopefully I will be bright eyed & full of cheer tomorrow (the sooner, the better, though )

of course I would forget SOMETHING

in a little bit my dad & I are going to get lunch and then go see the MUPPETS!!

I love me some Jason Segal & Miss Piggy *along with Kermie and the rest of the crew

I will post a reflection later tonight about my planning, my frustration, and hopefully with a better attitude
let's hope that food & muppets make for a much happier Ellen

You deserve this break andim sure your mom will be there in spirit right along with you the whole time. Have fun, safe travels and take tons of pictures!!!
