My Disney room - in progress photos

Hi, we are working on a Disney room. It is our bonus room in our house and it will be kind of a family/game room. The photos are bad, I will try and get some better ones soon. DH made a little web page (the link is in my signature) but this is the majority of it at the moment. We still have a LOT of work to do but the bare bones are there. We made most of it ourselves. DH is able to print large things at his work. OK, without further ado.

Tomorrowland

Fantasyland

Teacup still needs some work as does the small world.

Adventureland

The one bird talks and moves. We have more birds to put up and I am in the middle of sewing our cushion covers for the chairs.

Frontierland

This land is the most finished. I have a little bird house like Splash Mtn. and a few other little things to put up yet.

We also have the WDW train going around the ceiling area with the station. The train triggers the sound effects. We will have to post a video at some point of all the wackiness going on.

I would welcome any suggestions. Like I said we have a ways to go.

Piperpizzaz...looks like you and your DH are having fun.

I'd like to know how you made your stained glass windows.Are there pics covering actual glass windows or is there a fake castle wall with cutouts for the windows? Impossible to tell in an online pic. However, they're very pretty!

The windows are a peel and stick material. It is clear and has a texture to it. DH printed it at work. It isn't a material they usually use but, he had some in to test. The castle wall is done on top of foam core we nailed to the wall. We wanted to be able to take it down if/when we sell our house. I used lightweight spackle and tiny painters tape.

How did you do the Tomorrowland stuff? And what is the TeaCup made of?

Tomorrowland is all large photo prints. We are going to extend the black so it goes around the doorway.

The tea cup....is a dog igloo! LOL It was DHs idea and boy, it was a pain. It has part of an office chair going through it so you can actually sit in it and spin. I don't ride the real tea cups so I don't do this one myself.

one thing it took me a little while to learn was just because it is the internet -doesn't mean it doesn't hurt
After I really got my feelings hurt a few times when someone posted something I realized that there is a real person on the other side of that computer.
Also -unkind remarks last out here in cyberspace forever. Years from now someone can do a google search and find my snarky remarks.

I see posts on the disboards all the time about "matters of taste"
Peoples decorating, their clothing, tattoos- some things that I would never go for in a million years -but I refrain from posting my opinions. It would serve no real purpose -and would just hurt their feelings.

Absolutely amazing!!! Great job!!! So how did you get the train track up there? I have wanted to do this for my DS's room, but DH is a bit hesitant about the track.
