My SIL called last night to inform us that my DD is in the hospital. She's in SC and I'm in MO, so I can't be with her! She was born with a severe disability, Osteogenesis Imperfecta or "brittle bones", which her DH has also. So, she's had more than her fair share of hospitalizations, but not for about 7 years and I've ALWAYS been there with her! I know she has her DH with her (they even let him have the other bed in the room), but it's not the same as having her Mommy there!
She went in yesterday after having nausea for about 3 days, and was dehydrated. This happened a lot when she was younger. They also said she has a urinary tract infection, that they think is coming from her kidneys not her bladder, so will be harder to treat. They think she also may have aspirated when vomiting, and may have pneumonia. The chest x-ray report isn't back yet. They have her on oxygen, IV's, antibiotics, and she is scheduled for an abdominal ultrasound tomorrow.
She is very tiny (43 pounds), so all of this is much harder on her than on the rest of us.
Any and all thoughts, prayers, etc. are greatly appreciated. She comes on the DIS (rarely) as Hilside and I will have her read this thread when she is better.
Thanks,
Debbie
