Those girls should be expelled, not suspended. Insist on it. Definitely press charges. Expulsion should be part of their sentence.

Hope your DD is doing ok sorry to hear she has to go thru this at school or anywhere for that matter! Press charges I would specially if they have been on her before this! If they get a slap on the wrist for it, it will only keep happening and probably get worse as they will think they can get away with it! My kids school has A NO tolerance policy for bullying hitting being mean anything like this, one day my DD was getting on her bus and she was crying the principle of the school saw her crying and I got a phone call about 10 mins after she got home asking me if she was ok and if someone hurt her or said something mean to her ( she is 12) I told him no she was crying cause she didn't place to be on the track team thats why she was upset and he said ok I am sorry I just wanted to make sure no one said or did anything to her. Take action or nothing will be done!

Please press charges and follow through on what the law will allow you to do. Your daughter's safety is the only concern. IMO I don't think an apology from anyone, parents, or children is acceptable at this point. I wouldn't even have contact with any family members involved in this.

I am so sorry. Please press charges. That will get their names into the juvenile court system (if they are not there already). Also, placing a restraining order on them would be a good idea. When bullies get away with behavior like this, they just continue. Good luck.

Take it as far as you can! Hugs to your family, these brats did this because they knew their parents wouldnt do anything and they probley wont again now, but the school must and the police should. They would be expelled if that happened around here. (I think alot of us can say we would rather be in jail for something than face our parents if we got in trouble growing up, unfortunatley that was never instilled in these brats!)

Edited to add: Make sure the parents of the brats split your costs on the emergency room and such also! They might not care much but it might get their attention when they are paying your DD's bill for it!

I agree with everyone else that you should press charges. I just chimed in to add........keep your DD involved in any actions designed to elicit consequences for these girls. Empower her to 'fight' back through legitimate, legal channels that civilized people use for recourse when they are wronged. She needs to feel that, even if she can't and shouldn't physically fight back, she can protect herself. Anything that will help her feel in charge will help her to feel less of a victim!
