My daughter was beaten up at school Another UPDATE PAGE 15

Jenny:

I'm sorry to hear about your DD. {{hugs}} I hope she's OK and I hope things work out to your satisfaction with the other girls.

I'm sorry, I hope that your DD is ok. You are doing all the right things.

I'm sorry this happened to your daughter! :( It's hard enough to be that age and go through all the trials and tribulations that come with being a middle schooler, but to have to endure physical violence is another. Press charges! Take it all the way!

 to you & your DD. How awful--I can't even imagine. :(

Hugs to your daughter..... I know from experience what it is like to be a parent of a child that is being bullied... My daughter went through it for 3 years 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade...She is in 5th this year and it has finally come to an end with a new principal in the school. As a parent it sucks to sit every day and worry that your child is having another bad day at school....

I cannot even begin to express to you how sorry I am that your DD has to go through this. I know how hard it is because I went through the same thing when I was that age. Middle school is hard enough without adding something crappy like that to the mix. I hope you press charges against these girls and that they get the punishment they deserve, not just that ridiculous 5 day suspension. Keep us updated and lots of prayers and PD for your DD :grouphug:

OH MY GOODNESS!! :grouphug: I sure hope your DD is okay.

And I hope those girls get what is coming to them. What in the world are they thinking. Very very sad.

Jenny
I'm so sorry that your daughter (and you) have to deal with this. I'm glad the police were notified and hope these girls are dealt with accordingly. Keep us all posted.

Suspension??? That's just a slap on the wrist! They should have been expelled!

Bullying should not be tolerated!

I'm sorry your daughter is having to deal with that at school. I can't stand hearing stories like that. :(

Jenny -
So sorry to hear about this! Hope your sweet DD is OK!

This is no longer "bullying", this is "Assault and battery". I know our district classifies bullying as things like name calling, intimidation, behaviors designed to isolate a particular staudent, etc. Anything that involves an ATTACK is much more serious! Even for THREATS a student here would have to go through a "risk assessment" to determine what sort of action needs to be taken to protect the other kids.

Call an attorney to find out what sort of things you can do. Those girls need to be sent to an alternative school, sentenced to community service, etc.

I'm so sorry to read this! I hope your DD is feeling better and those girls get their just desserts.

according to the officer I spoke to the girl has been ,or is being taken in for assault.

(((Hugs))) to you and your daughter.
Things like this just make my blood boil!

I feel so bad for your daughter and I am SOOO Happy to hear that this girl is getting her due! I was bullied in high school to the point where I would be physically ill each day before school and had to go to school knowing this girl would be there taunting me, terrorizing me and threatening me. One day I just gave up and submitted to a beating just to get it over with. A week later I was at a different high school because I just couldn't take it anymore. The new high school was my saving grace. It was a college prepatory private high school vs. a Chicago Public School. The difference in the caliber of student was amazing and I thrived there. I never once felt threatened and had a nice senior year full of happy memories.

Bullying should never be tolerated and I hope this girl gets the full measure of the law!

I am so very sorry that this happened. Those girls deserve to be expelled. To you and your daughter, this is just awful.
