So sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved friend. There had to be something wrong with him other than just the temperature changes or poor air circulation...
I cried reading your words. I cannot begin to tell you how sorry I feel for you and your DH. Our dogs are part of our family. I was raised with dogs and cannot imagine a home without one. When we have gone through the loss of a doggie friend it tears my heart out. I know how badly you are hurting. God Bless you and give you the strength you both need to endure this sadness.
Oh sweetie, I am so sorry for your heartbreaking experience and loss of your beloved Buddy.
It sounds as though you loved and cared for your furbaby very much, please don't blame yourself.
Godspeed
I'm sorry for your loss and sharing your pain right now. We unexpectedly lost our 8 year old Lab, Kroner, Monday night to a health issue that gave no clue right up until it happened. It's so hard, but we were lucky to have them, weren't we?
I'm so sorry for your loss. Pets really do become part of the family and losing them is always devastating. My beloved rooster, Buster, whose photo I've posted God knows how many times in all of the animal threads on the DIS, was killed last week by a raccoon and I was nearly hysterical when I found out.
Rest peacefully, Buddy. I'm sure he knows how very much he was loved by you and your DH.
I know how hard it is to lose a pet, but not just a pet~but a family member. I had my cat for 16 years before she passed away, she had to be put to sleep. It was the hardest things ever to have to go through. We were not going to get another cat, but we just could not live without a cat in our lives. We also have a dog, who just turned a year old. He is like my kid and I don't know what I would do without him.
My first thought was, 'underlying cardiac disease'. If he was cooling down, there isn't a reason for him to have had a cardiac arrest. There probably wasn't anything you or the vets could do to save him.
