That would be great, thank you! Enjoy your trip!I’m down again next week at CR and will try to get some lobby pics when I’m on my lounge crawl.
Oh wow, so it really is getting ripped up. RIP Disney character inlays!Yes, top was on yesterday. Be warned, anyone staying in the main building - the noise right now is a lot. I’ll post more in the CL thread. Added a second picture. You can see them drilling into and discarding the marble.
I honestly wouldn’t have expected anything less than noisy right now, based on the amount of construction going on in the lobby at this time. Club level and a glass of wine (or 3) might help you ignore it lolYes, top was on yesterday. Be warned, anyone staying in the main building - the noise right now is a lot. @mrsap now that the framing of the new lobby bar is ready. It looks like the actual bar is only taking up (1) small section between (2) support pillars. Once the construction walls are cleared it may indeed flow with the larger lobby space. Fingers crossed.

I booked a CL room the other day for May and the cm told me about planned work going on at the resort. Is there something else on the horizon or do they just hedge their bets when there is existing work?
Thank you very much for that - it was really helpfulGenerally speaking reservation CMs don't really have any special info about future projects that aren't already noted on Disney's website or that gets sent to guests in pre-arrival e-mails - and the posted info at the moment has no specific end date. We micro-focus on specifics involving dates, details, etc around here but that's not really how phone CMs would be trained or have specific knowledge. So I would tend to lean they were just talking generically vs something specific that they have saying XYZ work will be occurring in May.
That being said, GF is 37 years old and Disney seems to be in a maintenance/capital project sort of mood with these older resorts that often need work in different places. Between room renovations, exterior work, roof replacement, and now the lobby a lot of GF has been touched here lately - but we just never know what else may be in store.... pool refurbs, other maintenance projects, etc.
Sorry that's not that helpful, but hopefully you'll be enjoying a beautiful new lobby looking down from your CL room come May 2026.
