So, as I am entering Epcot -
The topiaries are out I see -
and so are the flowers -
So, it's around 2pm on my day one and I and now off to see the sights and sounds of Epcot. Very glad I got a chance to read, "Epcot: The First 30 Years" by Jeff Lange and Kevin Yee as it gave me a primer if ya will on seeing this park from a different perspective.
Keep in mind, I am such a RD and FP quickly each attraction so it was really such a treat to SSLLOOWWW down and see this park with a different pair of eyes if ya will.
Had an ADR at "Rose and Crown" at 3pm so my time was limited at first so I made a bee line for World Showcase & the UK and this place:
But along the way, I met some interesting characters:
The inside of the place immediately reminded me of the UK -
I already knew what I wanted -
A Fisherman's pie
Now, her is where I have a 'poligze to the very nice person who waited on me

I forgot her name!! RRRRRRR!!!!
She was very nice -
loved how she spoke
All that was missing was her to have said to me, "Halo Guv'ner!" and I would have been a goner for sure!
ANYWHO -
with a belly 1/2 full of food......
(dessert was just divine)!
I soon was off to visit France
and long the way, I stumbled into this for the very first time = pretty cool!

and the land of CM Camile; who was very very very helpful

in offering me some ideas of Paris hotels (Bastille, Montmarte, etc). her accent and the way she spoke was just a small part of what I encountered this day as it was such a treat to immerse myself in that particular countries culture, accent, mannerisms, etc.
Ah, but just when the fun was beginning, I was off to shall we say -
politely mess with Jasmine & Aladdin via a M&G at 5:30pm.
I set it up just beautifully with me 'on a cell phone' talking with Carpet -
who 'was lost."
I was giving him directions as I waved off A & J but I was walking towards them where they normally take their Guests to so say hello to.
So, the conversation went something like, "NO! turn around!! you are at Magic Kingdom!! When you see the golf ball on the ground, turn LEFT and look for them!"
By now, Jasmine was curious. Aladdin couldn't figure out what was going on.
I hung up the 'call" by saying, "10 minutes? - GOOD they will be waiting for you."
So, I explained to A & J that Carpet was lost but will be here shortly to pick you up. It's just that he is asking you to sign off on a Guest agreement form.
Jasmine pipes in, "A see page two, we agree to, so on and so forth?"
I reply, "Yes, and he wants to to......autograph it." (as I whip out my autograph book).
By now,
Jasime catches on to the gag and pulls in Aladdin along with it and the rest of the M&G was just too funny as I left Jasime with the case of the giggles as I was leaving as I reminded them that once they see Epcot from the sky, it is indeed "a whole new world."
Where was I off to next??
But before I could think,
BAM!!
I run n2 this person:

(mental note: WEAR A BASBALL CAP OF SOME KIND DURING HOT & SUNNY DAYS!!) RRRRRRRR!!! i FORGOT TO BRING IT!!
besides......I am wearing my , "Look, it's day one and I have been in an airplane for hours on end.......took a bus just to get here from MCO and this is how I "look" clothing......
But - I was in my element, having fun
and it was such a blast having a quick 3 minute conversation w/her about all things Scotland as she gave me such wonderful suggestions on proper foot wear when walking on cobble stone streets........
(
EDITOR'S NOTE:

note the hint of foreshadowing on what will occur on DAY THREE of this adventure via the topic of Cobblestone Streets....)
ANYWHO -
OMG!!
** GERMANY**
and that sweet shop
.........as I was bringing into that shop some eclairs and chocolates from France.......
turned around and had a Grey Goose to sip on while I was nibbling on these treats and taking in "Iluminations" for the very first time -

(yes, I just ordered this music from Amazon.com as I have truly fallen in love with Epcot)
FYI - there are actually people hunkered down inside those barges while the fireworks are going off. I learned that while on this adventure via the "Undiscovered World of Epcot" tour.
and the fireworks / show??
LUVED IT!!
Was a very nice way to bring to a semi-close what was truly a fun day.
Boogied on back home,
thumped on the internet for a bit -
ran what is always a nigthly ritual for me or
putting in H20 products in the bathtub..........
turn the handle all the way to H..............
jump in and DON'T MOVE for 30 minutes.
The Sandman didn't catch with me until around midnight to 12:30am.
UP NEXT:
