I love the Germany pavilion

I will be looking over your shoulder whe you do your pics there

Looking forward to seeing just how much sweets can I enjoy while on day one at Epcot's World SHowcase.....
(never seen the 'Illuminations' fireworks show)

...can't ferget about the Grey Goose drink either -

(and a crepe to go with it = YUM)


ANYWHO -

RRRRRR!!!!!

1) I have spent the last 49 minutes trying to gain acess onto Pop's internet with little success. I can't post something as simple as a picture onto this TR!!


Moreover, it takes forever to open up the "Emotioncons" (example) as well.......

etc etc etc......

which I gotta tell ya, doesn't leave me too impressed with Pop Century Hotel.



2) and it all started when I tapped my Magic band (when I first checked in) up against the hotel room's Magic Band key holder area.......


the faceplate to the keyholder FELL off........



I tried to pop it back on (as I was leaving the room earlier tdy).......
but it wouldn't let me back into the room.



Yes, I have expressed my concerns to the front desk to this Disney hotel property.....
leaves a sour taste in my mouth if ya ask me.



Doing my best to regroup as I 'get to have fun" (NOT) slepping my laptop to their lobby Tuesday since their in-room internet is a shared network while the Lobby isn't.


NOW THEY TELL ME THIS
(had I known this earlier, I would have opted for CBR or POFQ)....




Yes, I do have lots of fun to talk about and yes, I do have over 360 pics from today I wud luve to begin posting......

1) luved "Illuminations"
2) Loved Germany's sweets & drinks


3) Loved France's Sweets & drinks
4) my inneraction w/Jasmine & Aladdin = PRICELESS.
5) some of the side shows like that guy who stand on chairs just right outside France = WOWZERS!!


but.....
just Pop seems to have a internet in-room connection that is very LESS than desired and IMHO, is very UN-Disney like.



Will promise y'all to post more positive posts Tuesday....sorry about this.

that is such an aggravation of not getting wifi in your room.
i have stayed at the All Stars and always got decent wifi.


hopefully the wifi will improve so we can see the pics you took.
i always get sweets at Germany.

lessons learned about whether or not a value Disney hotel is /was the right choice for me.



Gonna switch gears folks -
gonna blog as is and not worry to much about pics/video and just try my best but fair to say wont get a whole lot posted to my blog on account of Pop's internet service STINKS!!



Besides.....my 'human yo-yo' day is coming up n a few hours and I am really lookin forward 2 it.

it has been soooo much fun on day one being soooo immersed in seeing all the countries in World Showcase -

talking to each country and listening to the way they speak -
truly fun.
Seeing the way the buildings are being presented to us,
the shrubbery, etc surrounding each -
really fun.


I mean.....here it is......you are behind the scenes.......
seeing Disney backstage........
then -

they open a gate and you walk through it
and
BAM!!!!!


you are smack dab in the park and all you see is WALL TO WALL PEOPLE.
Very fun the see this.


But -
then to cap it off by going to the Rose and Crown -

WOWZERS!!

More on that later I promise.




Then on my day two,
was such a treat to see how WDW works via the BSM tour.

YES, compliments will be forthcoming about the CM's who provided excellent Customer service (& u know who u r)
but .........gonna see what I can do to get some more pics /video posted b4 I delve n2 that......


ANYWHO-
Yes, I'll admit I got my Disney geek on these past two days..........


but now it's time for me to break out the kid in me and enjoy
'The other park' via the VIP Tour.

caped off with Bubba Gumps and Pat 'Obriens tonight.........


been getting 4 hrs sleep a night -
having a blast I will admit -

FINALLY got a 30 second video successfully posted to photobucket.com.



Just the o-n-l-y think that stinks is I stink at 'putting on a poncho' 101 and I get a feeling we may need to use one tdy in spots......


DEF I will be bringing one with me the next day when I am back at Epcot via the 'Undiscovered Epcot" tour as RAIN is in the forecast.



P.S.S. yes, I am speaking with Guest Relations about seeing what I saw in the bathtub last night in my room........as I am a big believer in "the presentation" and IMHO, Pop Century just isn't cutting the mustard in that department and they badly need some schooling as well on how to service the Guest. ------ JUST SAYIN------
So, I am hoping that there will be some sort of an tangible apology waiting for me in my room when I get back (per my request) as since I feel that if it weren't for the fact I am soooooo busy down here, I wouldn't hesitate to move Properties and head on over to POFQ.

and that should tell ya something, for when a Guest feels this upset - the Hotel needs to WAKE THE FREAKIN HECK UP and perform a little simple service recovery here.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM DAY ONE -



having truly one incredible conversation w/Camille (CM @ Worldshowcase; France) about my dwntwn Paris Hotel section of my upcoming DL Paris adventure. She provided me with some Hotel ideas on where to stay.



poligze for the dark circle under me eyes but hey, I am having fun, in my element while being so dang jacked up on sugar.

(I miss Scotland!)
fyi - dummy me left my Diet Dr Pepper cap in my suitcase when I hit the park! NOT DOING THAT AGAIN!!! - high temps of mid 80's.....




More on my M&G w/Jasmine and Aladdin that just left Jasmine with the case of the giggles




and here is a little foreshadowing from my day 2 -
I think this is a slight twist on 'Wallace and Grommit" as I find this cute -

(seeing all these things while at Worldshowcase 2 days ago really brought back a lot of fond memories from my vacation adventures there (Ireland, Scotland, London) as I look forward to now the tour, "undiscovered World of Epcot" that will bring all of this full circle for me.



ANYWHO -
Q: know when u r on a Disney vacation??
A: When its 4am and you are eating Werthers original Signature carmel chocolate flavored drizzle popcorn, various carmel chocloates while washing it down with Coca-Cola......

and -
now I see what WED Imagineer Wally Crump meant when he talks about the smells when you go on a dark ride......(oopps!! the Disney Geek is coming out in me) but hey!!!!

the popcorn is now starting to take its effect on me......hehehehehehehehehehehe....

Went shopping at Disney Springs last night & OMG!!!!!


I now FINALLY have something nice to wear when I go to DL Paris
(2 pull over short sleeve Disney logo shirts, 2 Disney logo t-shirts, 4 pair socks)



haven't been really paying attention on vacation wardrobe until now -
very proud of this
as I got this done before I headed off to Ragland Road for quite a fun bite to eat & drink......


More on this as the days roll on I promise.
