MVMCP?'s

We have a trip planned for Dec. 1st-7th. MVMCP dates when we'll be there are the 2nd (Tues.), the 4th (Thurs.), and the 5th (Fri.). There is also one on Sunday,
Nov. 30th - and we could get there a day earlier if need be.

Is there one date that is better than the other? When should we go, and why?

They say to buy tickets ahead of time because they may sell out, but what if our trip would get cancelled?

Any help with these questions would be greatly appreciated!

My family & I have been to the MVMCP the last 4 years. I would go on a weeekday night as crowds tend to be better.

Also, we usually don't buy our tickets until Sept-Oct and have never seen any of our requests for tickets are sold out.

We may even be there the same time this year!!! ENJOY!

I would avoid the November 30th - last year the ones in the beginning (I think it was Dec 1 or 2nd) was a speical cast members only night and they cancelled the dates for regular tickets - they might have announced it before they sold.. I can't remember because it wasn't an issue for us.

I agree weeknights will be the least crowded and going early in the season is better. The only ones that sold out last year were on the Fridays.

Hi Gretchen!

I'm going to be there the same week you are so here's my stategy. As posted by swclark, I'd avoid the first one (Nov. 30) and do Tues., Dec 2. That way if something happens like some major rain or something, you still have Thurs., Dec 4 to fall back on. Avoid Friday since those tend to be the most crowded!!!

Good luck on what you decide!!! Maybe I'll see you there on Dec. 2!!!

I just got our 4 tickets for Friday Dec. 5th -

We have never been before. We plan to enjoy whatever they offer, but most of all enjoy the limited tickets that are sold!

Does anyone know how many they sell, I heard 20,000 but not sure

Also, on average how many people per day are in magic Kingdom? Anyone know?

We purchased our tickets last week for the Tuesday, Dec. 2nd MVMCP and CAN'T WAIT!!! It's our first trip to WDW and it just won't get here fast enough!

I have to second the post above, these boards are great. I wouldn't even have known about MVMCP (and so much more) without these boards!! All of the help and advice is invaluable.

Also, I read somewhere on this board a couple of months ago that they limited the ticket sales to MVMCP to 5000 tickets per night. There's so much to see and do in that 7 pm - Midnight time frame...how will we do it all?! LOL

We'll be there Dec. 1st - 6th and we're staying at POR (assuming we don't get moved). Can't wait to see everybody there!

Just curious, why should we avoid the Nov. 30th date for MVMCP?
DD and I are planning a trip and we will be able to go on that date or on Dec. 2nd. Is the first one very crowded?
It is a Sunday night, so I thought maybe it wouldn't be too crowded?
I wanted to try for that date, so if the weather is bad, maybe we can go to the one on the 2nd.

Hey, everyone! I extended our trip an extra day (now we'll be there Nov.30th - Dec. 7th). Yay! I'm going to plan on MVMCP on the 2nd. We'll be at POR also (if we're not relocated - we already had to switch from POFQ).

Choosing the day depends on the rest of your schedule. week nights should be less crowded but may sellout also. The day of and the day after need to be planned also. Maybe do water park the next day or a day off, but how can you do that at WDW?!

Could be because it is the weekend after thanksgiving! Long weekend for many!
