MVMCP-Dec 2010- Cape Cod & Fall photos-Update 11/16

I wish I had more of an update, but there isn't much going on here. I have just been working my behind off. I can't wait to get there. Can I ask you all a favor? Will you please post your favorite photo from your first and last trips to WDW? I hope everyone has a great weekend. I'm going to try to find some WDW photos to scan this weekend so I have something new for you next week.

I know what you mean about things being crazy. I've been swamped at work lately, and it's been exhausting. It doesn't help that I've been dealing with some home issues as well. (as in things breaking down around my home).

I love the picture idea. I'm going to have to find my favorites when I get home from work today.

2 things...ideeli is having a sale on Disney Couture jewelry!!! I did some damage.
Can anyone see the tickers in my signature??!?!? I can't see them, but I don't know if it is a firewall issue here.

Hey April  The countdown tickers aren't working for some reason :confused3.

I am really getting excited about my trip; I am at one week now :dance3::woohoo::yay::cool1:.

OMG you guys...i don't know how much more tragedy my family can take. I just found out my 29 year old cousin died tonight. He is the Dad of the sweet little boy named Hayden in some of the other photos you have seen. I'm in shock right now & I don't know how long it will take me to get back on the boards...i just wanted to let you all know what is going on. This really is difficult. I fell to my knees when I got the news. A 29 year old guy who lives for his son & is a great person. Why? Ugh. Long road ahead.

April, I'm so sorry to hear about your cousin. I've lost several really close friends before the age of 30 and it's incredibly difficult. My thoughts and prayers are with your family now.

Thanks! What/where is that building? I've never heard of it- and I totally didn't notice it in the photo before! D'oh! :rotfl:

Her name is Lucy and she's in Margate, NJ (near Atlantic City) She's 6 stories tall. She was built in 1882 and over the years has been a restaurant, an office, a cottage, and a tavern. Now she's a museum/historic landmark! You can go on a tour inside her! It's pretty neat! If you're ever in Atlantic City, you should definitely stop and see Lucy!

My first and last trips to WDW are the same trip! (I've only been once!) I'm having SUCH a hard time narrowing it down to just one photo... but I think I might have to go with:

I am so very sorry to hear about your cousin! That is absolutely tragic! I hope you and your family are managing to cope during this difficult time.

:( so sorry about all the family things going on.

Hope these help:

From my most recent trip, last August

The whole fam-damily on the 1st anniversary of my 29th b-day!

From my 1st trip:

I was 4 at the time. My sister passed away when I was 16, so a pic that combines Disney & family is precious to me!

I also love this one:

The services were SO difficult this week. I feel SO bad for my Aunt & Uncle- but there's nothing I could do. I can't tell you how much I will miss my cousin, Tim. He was the best Dad, a talented musician, a very patient, kind and gentle person, and the first peson to offer help to anyone in need. We were lucky to have him for that short time. Here are some photos- the first one is Tim as a kid- I took it with my first camera:

I should have thought to take photos of the photo boards I made for the services, but I wasn't thinking clearly. Well, about 600-700 people showed up to pay their respects. They had to re-route traffic & they were playing his music in vans parked on the street. Somehow...none of it makes me feel better. Tim was like a brother to me and I will miss him terribly.

I just wanted to post quickly & let you know I will be back Wednesday. John & I are headed to the MGM Grand at Foxwoods on Monday night for a change of scenery. I also have to go to CT for my cousin's daughter's birthday on Sunday. I'm going to try to get caught up on everyone's threads on Saturday in between cleaning & laundry.
Thank you all so much for your kind words. I really, really appreciate it. :grouphug:

All of the pictures are just wonderful. I hope your able to clear your head a bit with a few days away.

Thanks! I definitely feel a little better. I hope you're feeling better, too!!

Just a quick note: DO NOT open any e-mails from my Hotmail account. My account was hijacked & messages are getting sent to my contact list. My computer didn't even have a virus- it is something on Microsoft's end. They are not answering any questions or anything. I can't find a contact e-mail or number for Hotmail help, either. :headache:

Things are ok here- I am missing (my cousin) Tim at this moment in time. I should have an update soon with all of my quirky t-shirts I have for this trip & the COOLEST Mickey ears EVER. Thanks for sticking with me through some tough times. :goodvibes

Hey! I've been to Silverton, Colorado and Mesa Verde. That was way back in 1996. My sister lived in Durango, Colorado at the time and John and I visited her and her family one Summer. That part of the country is absolutely beautiful.

The pictures of Alaska are gorgeous. My Dad's dream was to go to Alaska but it never came about.

What I wouldn't give to visit WDW during Halloween. From your pictures, it looks like it would be a great time to visit. My favorite pic is the one of the Headless Horseman.

Great picture of the headless horseman! That's my favorite part of MNSSHP. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there is no rain.

Thanks! Me, too!!!!

Thanks! I really loved CO, too- I was there in 1999. It seems like forever ago. Alaska was just incredible. I want to do the Disney Cruise.

Halloween is such a fun time in WDW. The Food & Wine Festival is awesome, too!! The Headless Horseman is SO awesome because he rides in on a HUGE black horse that makes the ground shake as she or he runs by.
