MVMCP-Dec 2010- Cape Cod & Fall photos-Update 11/16

I finally ordered a swimsuit, some shorts & a new dress for October. (My Eeyore bathing suit fell apart already) I borrowed the following 3 photos from the clothing store site.

I LOVE quirky t-shirts, so I took some photos of some of the ones I plan to wear in October.
This one is titled “The Binge”:

This one is Admiral Ackbar with a finger trap- In Return of the Jedi, his big line was “It’s a Trap!” (My nerdiness is really shining through now!)

I just found out that my mom's dog pulled a muscle in her leg & they did an xray- she might have cancer in her OTHER leg. The leg with the possible cancerous growth is the side she had hip surgery on when she was younger.
Poor, Gracie! She is only 8, but she is a BIG dog. I'm afraid to hear what the vets say. I hope someone can give us good news for a change.

Thanks! Things just stink lately. I feel awful for my mom. On JUST her side of the family we lost my Mom's sister (who was 39), her father, her mother, her nephew, and another dog- just since 2005. I wish I could do something.

I'm glad someone "gets" my odd sense of humor! I ordered another shirt...(If you watched "Friends", you will probably get it) It says "Hello my name is Regina Phalange". It was Phoebe's favorite alias on the show.

You tell your mother that I am thinking about her. I know it's hard hearing something like that. Our pets are like our family too.

Thanks! I'm so worried about Gracie. Her appointment with the specialist is tomorrow.

The NC-17 rating on the back is the one on that shirt that really cracks me up!!

Thanks! I'm hoping the spot on the x-ray is just scar tissue from her hip surgery years ago, but I don't know enough about medical issues to even know if that is possible.

So I have some relatively good news. The vet doesn't think Gracie has cancer!! She does have to go in for an operation for a torn cruciate ligament (at the knee) on Tuesday. I am relieved and worried at the same time if that makes any sense.
Next- I got the last of the t-shirts I ordered in the mail:

And the coolest Mickey ears I have ever seen!!!

There is a website that sells designer stuff at 60-80% off. They sell stuff for a limited time only. Well, they had Disney Couture jewelry inspired by Alice in wonderland & I bought some. Shame on me for spending money on jewelry, but it was under $100. I bought 2 necklaces. I tried to photograph some of the details, but the photos didn't come out great.

One of them is a large keyhole pendant on a long chain & the other is shorter & sort of a tangled, messy, mass of all different charms.

This weekend I am going to make my packing list, shopping list, and to do list. I'm also going to tackle my closet & donate a ton of clothes. I'm determined!!!

I COMPLETELY forgot to mention this to you- the only people who will appreciate this story!!
A few days ago, I got home & had a jury duty notice waiting for me. Now- you all know the first thought that popped into my head- the date will be during a WDW vacation. Sure enough- I opened it & it was December 7th- day #2 of my vacation in December. I started to panic so much so that all of the "juror information" I was reading was not making sense. Finally, I pulled myself together and read that I could postpone the date for up to a year. That was followed by a BIG sigh of relief. I went onto the website & changed my date until April 7th. I figured- there won't be too much snow at that point & it is a Thursday. The court they assigned me to is an hour away, so it will be just like commuting to work. My only concern is that the Town (or city??) I have to go to has a very high crime rate. Ugh. But at least I don't have to cancel my trip!!!!

Gracie's surgery went well & she may even be able to come home tonight. I am hoping that she can. I think she may have to wear a cone so she doesn't pull out her stitches. I feel so bad!
Well, I am 11 days away from my trip & they are forecasting a hurricane or tropical disturbance hitting there soon. The storm tracks and forecasts are all different. I'm not a "wait and see" type of person. I want to know NOW.
I'm not sure what will happen if a hurricane hits. I still want to go! I would only lose one day. Plus it would make for some good stories.

I'm excited!!! I just did my online check-in. Let's just hope for NO hurricane. By the way- I got a new camera!!! It is nothing fancy- just a point & shoot Canon, but it has 14x optical zoom. I'm going to have fun with that & you can bet my TR will have a TON of photos!!! Have a great weekend, everyone.

It's getting so close to your trip! Try to ignore the weather forecast as much as possible. I'm trying to tell myself it's going to be nothing but great weather. I had to travel to Orlando in the middle of a blizzard in March. I'm due for great weather all week long.
