If the shows are short then we can get somewhat of an idea of what to plan for that night. It is so hard being that we've never been for MVMCP before.

Would you say that you'd need to be at most shows about 20-30 mins early, maybe not so far ahead as the night goes on, or still plan for that amount of time?

I know you can show up for MVMCP at sometimes as early as 4:00, but my dinner reservation is for around 4:30 at Whispering Canyon. I am guessing I won't get there until around 6:00. Would they make us go to Tomorrowland, or would we be able to hang around Main Street until the festivities start around 6:45??

This will be our second MVMCP too. We are going on the 27th. I was really surprised at the crowds last year as others have said. We went on a Tuesday last year. We had planned on going to the Night Before Christmas first so we went to Tomorrowland. A CM ushered us in to get our pic and the line was short. But by the time we got over for the show it was packed. Then our plan to get to a spot for the parade was shot when we turned onto Main Street. It was an hour before the parade and Main Street was full. We really wanted to sit on Main Street so we waited for the second parade. Everything is so neat though. Hope everyone has a great time!

I would say 20 min at least. it fills up quickly. I don't find it the best venue - it is hard for childrent to see over grownups sitting in front of them so we always try and get an aisle seat about 1/2 hour before. (My sister is a little particular about where she sits so she is willing to get there early to get the seats)- she always visits right after Thanksgiving and MVMCP has become a "tradition" for us over the past 4 holiday seasons.

If you want, you can read a couple of MNSSHP reviews. They say that the CMs did a great job clearing the park. Anyone without a wristand was not let into the lands by 6:45p. They also made announcements about having to leave if you didn't have tickets.

I'm coming to Florida on Oct 29th. Going to MNSSHP. Was wondering if tickets will be sold out for Nov13th MVMCP? Should I order them now, or do you think it is safe to wait?

One more question, is it really that cold that you need a sweatshirt and possibly gloves?

I am usually warm at 50 degrees. So a Tshirt would be fine, but have those who have been last year find it to be colder than that?

The average low in Orlando for all of December is 51 degrees which we, being from Ohio, tolerate very well in short sleeves if there is no wind. Its not unusual for it to get down that low late at night in July and August here. Having said that, we went to the MVMCP eight years ago and it got down to 36 degrees (a record I think) that night. We were very glad we packed coats, sweathshirts, and gloves. The next day, the temp. was right back up where it should be. Chances are you won't need the extra layers, but if you do, its better safe than sorry.

I lived in NY my whole life until 22 mos ago and up through my last Dec WDW trip and suggest layers.

It is not consistent. It can get chilly at night. But yet we were at TL one day. Some days cooler than others.

That was our experience in 2004.
