Multi-Resort stays and using facilities at both

Ok, so sanity check me on this one. We are contemplating booking ONE night at Beach Club and switching to another resort (Boardwalk) the next night. We can't get 2 nights at Beach Club but really want to use the pool since this is a resort vacation for us for the most part.

We arrive late in the evening, would check into Beach Club that night. Plans would be to go to the "other" parks (non-Disney since we have annual passes) the next morning and then chill at the Beach Club pool the rest of the day. We would technically be checked out of Beach Club, but I think you can still use the facilities the rest of that day correct? How does it work if in the meantime our Boardwalk room becomes available and we have to check-in to that one sometime that day? Would we lose our ability to use the pool at Beach Club since we would have checked in at Boardwalk? What if the Boardwalk room is ready (via online check-in) but we haven't officially arrived yet (entered the room)?

I know this is an odd one, wondering if anybody has done something similar.

Thanks!

On your transition day, you'd have access to the facilities at both resorts all day. The way it's likely work is you'll go to the BC pool, they'll verify you're a guest at BC to enter, and give you a wrist band for the day. You can come and go as you please the rest of the day at the pool. The status of your room at BW won't matter. Enjoy the day! Awesome pool!

Ah...hadn't considered that thank you. We could just get our bands and keep them on for the day for use later.

Do they scan bands at the BC pool or make you show your reservation on the app?

Even if you only get to the pool by say, 2PM, you're still a guest of BC for the day and a scan of your MBs would show that - they'll let you in anytime that day of checkout. You wouldn't have to make a special trip just to get wrist bands.

I'm under the impression that, after you check into the next resort, your band won't show you as a guest of the prior resort anymore. So you'll likely want to make sure you get your pool band before your next room is ready. I think you'll run into problems otherwise.

From our experience, I don't think that is true. If you look at your app (which is what the MBs connect to), you'll see both room reservations on the app for the day of check-out/check-in. If for some reason the band wouldn't work, you can always show the reservation on the app to get access. We often do split stays like this, and always check-in online early - and have not had an issue with either resort being recognized.

You may want to consider actually booking an off-site or a value for the first night there if you are arriving late. Then, on the next day, even before your room is ready at Beach Club, you get access to the pool. Then the next day - you STILL have pool access before moving to the BW. This way - you don't 'waste' Stormalong Bay access while traveling. So if you arrive at 9pm, you can just crash...then the next day - head to BC and drop bags. Then do parks...and have that PM at the pool. Then the next day, you still have another day at the pool. I echo the other comments here - your magic bands will transition to the new hotel when you check in, so either get a wrist band first, or just check in later to the Boardwalk. It's a great pool and worth the split stay!
