December 8: Today's plan---MGM. Today we decide to meet in front of the big hat instead of waiting around the hotel for everyone to get ready. Dh, ds, and I get over to MGM pretty early after a disastrous attempt at walking over there! (The path to MGM from BWI is not clearly marked
We totally walked passed it and ended up over at the Swan. Someone over there tried to tell us there is not walkway, you have to walk on the street. Anyway, we ended up catching the boat at the Swan) We did the Great Movie Ride, met our friends and got ready to head over to our lunch (11:40 ps) at Hollywood and Vine.
This was a great character meal! There was lots of good interaction with Chip'n Dale and Pluto especially. Minnie and Goofy came by once each. The food here was good and seemed like it was recently put out (It probably was, since I noticed people finishing up their breakfast as we were seated!)
After lunch we headed over to RNRRC and ToT for fastpasses. We didn't even need them for ToT! We all rode ToT with the help of child swap, then headed over to RNRRC. These are our favorite "thrill" rides in the "world"!
Next we headed over to Playhouse Disney Live. This was a big hit last year and didn't disappoint this year either! After that we headed over to the HISTK playground. Left there and headed over to Al's Toy Barn--saw Buzz, Jessie, and the Army men. After that we did the Muppets 3-D movie--I just LOVE that!
After Muppets we decided to head back over to BWI to get ready for the Fairy Godmothers. This time we walked the path with no problems!
Fairy Godmothers arrived around 7:00 (we had 2 since there were 3 kids frome 3 different families; and we wanted them to be able to take them to the arcade or outside to play!) The FGM were great! We had no problems leaving the kids, as they were all being happily entertained.
The grown-ups headed over to ESPN. We decided to share several appetizers and pitchers of beer. This was a pretty fun place if you're into sports. It's still pretty fun for a while even if you aren't! Later the girls (dw's) decided to head on down to Jelly Rolls while the boys (dh's) enjoyed their testosterone overload. I loved that place! The guys met us there later. They seemed to like it too.
We headed home around 12:30. The FGM had everyone to sleep by 9:30! We crashed as soon as FGM left!
Tomorrow.....Big plans for AK ruined by rain!
