"all over" huh. That must have been some swim! :lmao:
:lmao:

$1600!!! :worship::worship: Wow, what a great group of people here. I never had any idea that this would take off. This evolved from me just wanting to do a segment on the Muddy Buddy that I thought would be fun for the show. To Paul suggesting we raise money for GKTW. To the 6 of us agreeing to do this together. I never thought it would go this far. Can we get to $2k before May 9th?

BTW, I ran another 3 miles yesterday.
This truly went way above my expectations! I can't believe how generous and supportive everyone has been. This site is so amazing! I just wanted to say thanks to everyone and thanks to you Dave, Paul, and Don for including me in the race.
WTG on the run, Dave!

You read my mind. I'm afraid what the trainer is going to say tonight. I hope he doesn't fall to the floor laughing asking: "You wanna do what? When? Good luck with that."

yea, hopefully its just from listening to the call in show making me nervous. I've watched some of the videos and I have to be in as good as shape as some of the people in those videos ;)

I'm really looking forward to the race, but I do have 2 fears.
1. Will I meet my teammates expectations; and I don't just mean Dave. I hope you guys aren't waiting too long for me at the mud pit. I was being serious when I told Don to bring a deck of cards with him.
2. I'm worried how I'm going to feel the next day before we leave for the cruise. I'm a little nervous about soreness and fatigue the days after the race. I really do want to perform well during the race, but I'll have to keep a slower pace than usual so I don't feel miserable the days following the race. I hope you guys will understand?

I think we are all our own worst enemy. I really don't have an expectations for anyone else, I just feel like I won't keep up to my own expectations! At 35 I can't do things I could do 4-5 years ago. I see it every week when I play basketball with all 20 somethings.

Uh oh, what's being said on the call-in show? I probably won't listen to that until this weekend on my long run.

Seriously, you guys are all going to be fine. I think you are all in better shape than you think, and we are all in this together. Aaron, I will be with you every step of the way if you want. I have no problem biking beside you while you run if you want (if the course allows that). We're not in this for time or to win, we're in this to finish.

How have you felt on your training runs, and how sore have you been after those? I wouldn't think you would be any sore-er after the race than you would be on a cruise. Plus, ibuprofen helps a lot, and you will be resting on the cruise. You'll be fine, and you can do this!!!

How's that for being team cheerleader?
:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Now if anyone is really concerned about feeling too sore after the race for the cruise, let me know. I'll take the bullet and take your place on the cruise if you can't go. Seriously, I would do that for you guys.

How cool is it that Pete's donation put you guys over the $1500 amount!!!!!

WOW, I feel much better all of a sudden about my ability to run the race and feel fine for the cruise! :rotfl2:

Very cool. Is there something I don't know about the $1500 threshold? I haven't listened to any of this week's shows yet.

Thanks for being the martyr, Dave.:goodvibes

I think he's right though. We are in it to finish, to crawl through the mud pit--together--for the kids. And if we take a little longer, that just give more people time to show up.

I'm certainly not speedy, my short little legs weren't designed for that...but I learned the lesson of the little engine that could.

That really is my mantra Todd, for the kids. I can bike all day, but when I'm running (I hate running) I think in my head...keep running for the kids. That and I have some ghetto rap music on the iPod.

Ghetto rap? I have disco, techno, and revival gospel on mine. Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" is my stretching/warm up music of choice.

Dave...Thanks for the words of encouragement and the laugh. I appreciate your willingness to run beside of me during the race. But seriously, I think we'll be better off if you get ahead of me on the bike and I try and meet up with you later (if that's possible). I do get sore the next day after I run. That is why I usually run every other day. Most of my soreness is in my knees. I agree with you I will have Ibuprofin with me and that should help a lot.

I know. It was very generous. :)

Bigger Faster Stronger, 2Pac, LLCoolJ, Eminem, Flo Rida

I'll have my muscle relaxers from my back injury! I'll feel no pain!!
