Hi Guys,
I was thinking last night about Friday night when we arrive. 4 of the 6 of us will be staying at AKV. Do the 6 of us and our families want to gather for dinner/food after we check-in for the race at the Wide World of Sports?

I was thinking of a few options at AKV. We could dine at Sanaa, Boma, a little less formal at the Mara, or just hang out at the new pool.

What do you guys think? Should we pig out at Boma, or just try Sanaa, or the Mara? If you think its not a good idea; maybe some of us will need time to get their bikes and other gear ready for the race the next morning, then we can go our separate ways. Just kind of thinking out loud.

I have to run and get a bike, helmet and water container of some sort. I'm going to wait until after the family is put down for the night to do all that. I'm up for meeting up after we go register, I'll be at Downtown Disney until around 3-4 then we will be at AKV to hang out. We had plans to do T-rex, but I think we will skip it.

Cool...I thought it maybe hectic Friday night. I'm going to try and bring the helmet and water bottle from home. Just hanging out works for me. We can pick a place to meet later after packet pick-up. It's going to need to be an early night anyway.

I think we land in MCO after 1800. I need to get to the resort then go with Puck to check in at WWofS. Getting together sounds like fun. I'll have to play it by ear.

you must be feeling better! I'm still struggling to get well, went home from work. Got a solid chest and arm workout in yesterday though.

Aaron, as much as I would LOVE to get together with everyone, I have a family constraint. When my wife agreed to come with me she said she wanted a weekend the two of us could spend together. I promised her some good, quality couple time. Of course, she knows I'm going to run the race, and that's the reason we're going down. However, I told her we would spend the rest of the time together. I think she's also a little concerned about having to meet a lot of people she doesn't know.

I hope this doesn't sound aloof or standoffish at all. It's just so rare for us to have any time together without the kids, and we're both pretty quiet, introverted people.

I'm looking into the shirts now.

No problem at all Dave. I completely understand. I was just trying to get an idea of what everyone was up to prior to the race.

Once I get comfortable around people I open up, but until that time I really am very quiet. You have no idea how hard a time I had trying to interview listeners at Mousefest.

I totally understand! I already feel bad for dragging my family to the muddy buddy and all the things it will take to pull it off. If we weren't going to two weeks in December I might not do it. Go and have fun, you will get to say hi to us more than enough!

I'm working with my SiL on the shirts. I'm going with the bright safety green moisture wicking shirts in the link below. I told Suzy that we each wanted 2 shirts (is that OK?), and they will be $18 each plus shipping. We will get the full color logo on the shirt. I was thinking the logo on the front. Do we want anything on the back? Names? Team Name and number?

Sounds like a good idea Dave. I think the safety green with color logo. Names on the back sounds good too. I'm not sure about the size. Maybe Large? Maybe 2 large, 1 medium? Let me think a little bit more.

Looks good to me Dave! I was thinking the second shirt could be a t-shirt or something we could wear after the race. But I'm okay with the two green shirts also.
