MR January 29 2012- Who's in?

I am so relieved... new fish extender is done, new luggage scale to replace the broken one is purchased, piano and harp lessons for the kids are done, fish extender gifts are packaged and labelled, US $$ has been purchased and laundry has begun. I have 3 days to get the laundry done, put away and then pack. If I could somehow figure out a way to clean my house and cook with out actually having to do either I would be GOLDEN!!

We always book Supershuttle's Execucar service. It is a private van (think: minivan) with a driver and there are no additional stops to pick up passengers. They know your flight # so if your flight is delayed they are not hanging out at the airport waiting for you. When we land in LAX we just call the # and someone is there in @ 5 minutes.

Thanks for the tip on the Execucar. We're using the shared ride on the way to the hotel on Saturday, but with the tighter return timetable we'll do the Execucar for the return to the airport from the port.

OK - I think we are all set - all that's left to do is pack!

We were there too! It looked like the sun was on the ship the entire time. Once they sailed away it got cold. Fun packing options! :confused3

One of great reasons we went the kids were like it's gonna be cold when we leave ... I was like yep .. Bring a jacket ...hehehe

Anybody else getting antsy ... I can't wait

LOL...If you find out how to get the house cleaned and cook without having to do it, let me know!

I do not want to work the rest of the week!! I've been slacking for sure as I am antsy as well! I've packed..just remaining toiletries left and we'll be set..keep throwing in a sweater...pants...afraid it's going to be chilly for the kids so they will have plenty...I'll be the one that needs to buy things...bummer:rotfl:

So we leave tomorrow. Almost everything is packed and we are strung out on nervous and excitement. But we're looking forward to a very busy and crazy tomorrow trying to travel with 2 small children and having to change planes. So far it looks like the weather is on our side. Time will tell.

See you all on the Wonder! Safe travels to you all.

YEAH! :banana::banana:

The forecast here looks like it's warming up! It was warm today and getting warmer. Showing no rain for sailaway!:banana::banana:

Typical me, my luck, only happens to me. My washer broke. We just went to Sears to buy a new one. I'm thinking, I could have used that freaking $$$ on my trip! Great. So it comes Thursday and I'm SOOO excited (not) to wait until that day and know I'll be power laundering through Saturday.

Oh well, I'm GOING ON VACATION!!!!! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Oh, crap, I forgot my drycleaning! Can't wait to meet you all!

Hello!

My family & I are going on our first Disney cruise and are super excited! We want to participate in the fish extender but do not know what we need to do. My husband and I and our two little girls are going to be on the Disney wonder Mexican riviera January 29, 2012- out 10 & 8 year old are counting down the days.

Can someone let me know what we need to do to join in the fish extender festivities?

Thank you so much!

I can't wait to meet all of you-my 11 yr old son would like to find someone to hang out with as I'm sure he won't want to hang out with his 5 year old twin brother and sister..lol

My 11-year old son will be delighted to hear that there are others his age going! :) He and his 8 year old brother get along pretty well, but it gets old having the same playmate all the time. So glad we're going to have "friends" to hang with . . .

Just make sure you make a reservation before you go... I didn't think to mention that part of the plan :)

Welcome to our group. But I have some bad news... our FE group is closed now. We had to set a cut-off date early in January so that people could buy/make and organize their gifts.
BUT please come to our Meet and Greet on Sunday in the Promenade Lounge at 3:00. We will be introducing ourselves and letting the kids have a chance to meet some friends before they join in the fun in the Kids Clubs. I have 2 girls @ your girls' ages so that would be nice for them all :)

Indeed - made a reservation! Excellent thought to mention that a reservation is required in case someone thinks they can simply show up and expect a car! :)

We leave tomorrow, so excited

I still haven't packed my bags yet. Uggh, I can't settle down to do it. Got son packed up, hubby is packing himself so it's just me.

I'm leaving work now for my second job, teaching college so I'll be up way past midnight getting packed up.

We leave here mid afternoon, hoping to make it over "the grapevine" before it gets too dark.

Welcome to all the new cruisers on the thread

How exciting! :cool1:

The weather looks great for sail a way day!:banana:

Actually, the weather looks great for all ports! :woohoo:

Packing up, looking sideways at all the laundry piling up. GET THAT NEW WASHER HERE STAT! Remembered the dry cleaning AND just remembered DD13's bathing suit. Doesn't fit. Whew...it pays to write things down! :thumbsup2

OMG....I would die if my washer broke down! I'd probably have to head to laundry mat as I was way behind! You have a good attitude about it...I still have to finish out week working...no fun!! It's Icing like crazy out here! Oh..and supposed to snow more-can't wait for the sun!

So you say it's warming up in Cali....what are the temps there??

YAY!
We leave tomorrow too:cool1: We will drive to Anchorage (3hr drive) and we're getting a hotel to hang out in until our flight leaves at 2am....we have one road in and out, and it has been closed several times this year, so we wanted to be in town just in case. We officially arrive in Cali at noon on Friday YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!!!
DH surprised me while I had kids at ice skating lessons...he got all the older kids packed, and all the laundry done:banana: and put away:banana: Then he told me he took tomorrow off so he could help me with any last minute things. I am soooo in love with him right now:love:

Oh, it was just gorgeous today! Beautiful, the most gorgeous sunset...all purple and everything!

I live 25 min from Disneyland, Mission Viejo, it was almost 80! Anaheim almost hit 80. It looks like nothing but over 70's here and in the sun it gets warmer! Looks like we may have about 76 on sailaway.:banana::banana:

I figure with the washer, that I'll do my stuff and leave my DH and DS left to do their own on Sunday. See how much they will miss me then! :rolleyes1

WOW! Great! I don't know why I thought the highs were only like 60ish...I'm so excited!

I did have "the nightmare" last night...the one where I forgot my purse with all the cruise documents and passports and we couldn't get on the ship! All the kids were screaming and crying...I woke up with my heart pounding and feeling terrible!! Please don't let that happen...lol

Thank you for getting back to me. That would be excellent! We will meet up at 3:00. Now,if it's alright, my girls would still love to give out gifts and not expect anything I return for the fish extender. They are girl scouts and are used to SWAPS which is the girls scout version of FE gifts. They are taught to give even if they don't get anything in return. It'll be fun for them none the less. Is it possible to get a number of people participating so they can make some prezzies?
This is our first Disney cruise and I just found out about some of the extra fun! Sounds so exciting!
:cheer2:
