Mr. Disney & Kevin lunch with the Princesses in Norway!

As Cinderella left us to visit with her other subjects, who should appear? Jasmine! I asked her if she could "belly dance" for me. She look at me like I had grown a second head (almost the same exact look Kevin gave me on Easter Sunday when I suggested I would go back to POP Dining Court for the breakfast pizzas :lmao: :lmao: )!

After she shrugged at me, she said...."What do I look like? A common Haram Girl?!?!? I am a PRINCESS!" I appologized perfusely and kindly asked for our picture with her.

At this point, our dining hall wench brought out our dessert course, which actually was a trio of desserts.

On the left is the Lingonberry Cheese Cake with ligonberry sauce, in the middle is the Traditional Rice Cream topped with Fresh Strawberries and Sauce and on the right is the Chocolate Mousse Cake finished with chocolate sauce and powdered sugar

Lingonberry Cheese Cake with ligonberry sauce
Not knowing what lingonberries are supposed to taste like, we dived right in. The cheesecake was silky and creamy and the berries, uhm......sweet......but kinda undescribable. We liked it!

Traditional Rice Cream topped with Fresh Strawberries and Sauce
The rice cream was VERY VERY plain. If this dessert didn't have the strawberries and sauce on it, it would be too plain. The Rice Cream wasn't even sweet. I guess we were expecting it to taste like our american version of rice pudding. Furtermore.....if there were fresh strawberries on that plate....I am CINDERELLA! Those strawberries were no more fresh than I was to Jasmine asking her to belly dance for me!

Chocolate Mousse Cake finished with chocolate sauce and powdered sugar
Uhm....what can I say....this was no different than a "Lil Debbie" cake from the corner store. Hershey's chocolate sauce and powdered sugar. Honestly? It was kinda dry.

LOL! Cut the girl some slack - I imagine she was experiencing a bit of cognitive dissonance about that question, coming from you. In other words, she probably gets a similar question fiftyeleven times every day, but from men in a slightly different demographic from you and Kevin. ;)

Another smashing review, Mister Disney!!

Another great review!

Just one question, Will you and Kevin be returning soon? And if you are I will have to request you return in proper princess attire :wizard: Boy would I pay to see those pictures. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Who am I kidding Kevin would look better than I.

Another great review! Don't you wish the desserts tasted as good as they looked?

She graciously came up to our table when it was our turn and greated us and asked us if we would like our picture taken with her. I felt like saying "Do you know who you are talking to? You should be asking to have your picture taken with me, Mister Disney of the DIS Board!"

:rotfl2: I would have cried for 2hrs if I heard you say that to Cinderella. Who is she to ask YOU for a picture of herself. Who does she think she is anyway? Mister Disney should have his own character breakfast. Now THAT I would pay for.... :rotfl:

great review!!

You SOOOO do NOT want to see these hairy legs and chests in little blue dresses.....this ain't the Rocky Horror Picture Show! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I might add....cauliflower is one of my favorite veggies and I did not find even one scrap of a piece on my plate!
I think they're mashed together with the potatoes.

Thank you for the review! I used to love Akershus before it became a half-buffet with princesses, and before I became a vegetarian. Now I'm really not sorry I won't be going back this trip. Instead, I'll be over in Kringla getting tasty sweets!

ME TOO! I'd even use 2TS credits from the dining plan! :goodvibes Crunchy bacon and grease gravy for all... :teeth:
AND I almost forgot... cheesecake that DOES change the color of your tongue!!!

I bet you'd get more takers than the new Playhouse Disney character breakfast!!!

They are.

The desserts have changed since we were there last Sept. We had Ligonberry tart & chocolate mousse with the Rice Cream.

Thank you for your reviews!!

OK Mr. Disney... you just made me laugh out loud - really loud. Now the guy in the cubicle next door thinks I'm wierd.

:thumbsup2 Great review!! always look forward to reading your reviews....

Its the smoked cheeses and fish that make me want to go to the Princess lunch.. sadly I think I'm the only person in my party who would eat that though!!!

Mr. Disney, I'm so disappointed. We're leaving the DAY before Noshing Round.. I was SO hoping we'd catch it this time!

So, in order to tie things up in a neat bundle....

Cost for the Princess Storybook Luncheon was $24.99 per Adult and $13.99 for kids 9 and under.

We ALL know we went for the Princess Interactions, and that is a majority of the cost of the pricing.....

but I feel compelled to say...that for the price...I've had better food at other Character Buffett / Meals.

Furthermore...this really is something that is attractive to the little Princesses of the World and those like Kevin and I that are of "different demographics" :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: (I'm gonna get some milage off that statement!), what does one do with their sons during an event like this? I do not recalling seeing boys there....

anyway....thanks for all the positive words of encouragement over our reviews. We really do have fun doing them.
