Mr. Disney & Kevin lunch with the Princesses in Norway!

what does one do with their sons during an event like this? I do not recalling seeing boys there....

I don't know, but my little boy is already protesting this lunch (and he's only 3)! He says, "Mommy, I don't like the princesses. They kiss me too much!" LOL! And he's right. Everytime he's met a princess he's gotten a kiss!!! :love1:

So I'll be sure to post my review of our princess lunch with DS3 and DD2 upon our return mid-July.

Next time you go for a princess lunch, you could be more "creative" and ask Cinderella to belly dancy  (since when is she in Norway? I thought she only appeared at the castle and 1900 Park something? she should stay away from buffets... or she'll need a bigger dress...)

And man, Jasmine is "light" dressed at WDW, at DLP she usually wears more than that!!!!

Great Review! DD wants to go here to Aerial butwe are not adventurous eaters. Some of the food looked alright but we might just stick to breakfast.

Thank you for the great observations, Mister Disney and Kevin. I really like your style. I can't wait for your next adventure.
One question though.. When do we get a Kevin-led review? Or is he "Silent Kevin"? ;)

I have heard that the atmosphere in Akerhaus is attractive, could you comment on that?? Thanks again for all the laughs :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Mr. Disney, I, too, would be interested in the atmosphere. Besides the presence of so many princesses, did it feel like you were dining in a castle in Norway? How does it compare to CRT as far as theming & atmosphere?

hum....Well....I was at first a bit disappointed in the theming. When you enter, they can take you into a diningroom straight ahead or one off to the left hand side.

We were sat in the left hand side diningroom. It did not feel like a banquet hall at all. Very low ceilings, small windows etc.

On our way out after lunch, we decided to poke our heads into the other room....WOW did we miss a great room. The room straight ahead as you enter IS a Banquet Hall.....HUGE ceilings, beams, giant windows etc.

If you can request that room to be seated in, then that is where you should go!

I would say the main banquet hall rates right up there with theming at CRT, but the side dining room is ho hum boring.

Silent Kevin? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Oh gosh.....you have no idea how vocal and forward and dominant Kevin can be. He's almost more dominant than me!

I'll talk to him and tell him that people are asking and see what he says......

I was also wondering why you get to be Mr. Disney and Kevin doesn't get a cool "side-kick" name? After all... you are our DINING SUPER HEROES!!!

Stop making me laugh so loud at work!!! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: I think the guy in the next cubicle is going to request a move!!!

Anyway, his name needs to be much cooler than that! I'll get my 6 year old to work on it....

Well the "little Debbie" remark sealed the deal for us no PSL although I don't think breakfast is much better.

Loved your review Mr. Disney...
About the cauliflower....being on a low carb diet, (DIET??!!! HORRORS!) the cauliflower makes great "mashed potatoes". The cauliflower could have very well been mashed right along with the potatoes. I myself have made mashed cauliflower without the potatoes, adding sour cream, salt, pepper and butter...it's great! And for anyone low carbing, a lifesaver if you love potatoes.

Thanks for the review on the ambience of Akershus. Your review of the restaurant has made feel good about my decision to eat there. I appreciated the description of the good and the bad.

I noticed that they did not have any Lutefisk on the buffet, which is a very traditional Norwegian dish. By any chance did you ask why it was missing?

We were so totally over come by the joy of all the Royalty in our midsts, that we forgot to ask . :rotfl: :rotfl:

 Lutefisk

Oh my gosh where did you get that picture? Have you actully eaten that. I am sorry if you are a lutefisk fan but YUCK :p Pickked fish the consistency of jello is not a good idea in my book. Having been stuck (shhhh dont tell my DH) in MN I have smelled my share at the lutheren potlucks. As if the unusual things they do with jello is not already enough, they had to do it to the fish............ :confused3 By the way if anyone is a Prairie Home Companion fan -- it is for REAL :rotfl:

:rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao: Actually, Lutefisk is to Norwegian food as Haggis is to Scottish. It may be popular with some, but abhored by the rest of the civilized world.

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: Especially thanks for the photo! :confused3 :confused3 :thumbsup2
