Morning all! What's shakin' today?

I was a bad, bad boy on Friday night. Joe stayed home to study so I went out with some friends. I was out too late and I am stunned I wasn't dead of a hangover come Saturday morning.

I'm a bad man.

I went out Saturday night and also was amazed I wasn't hanging low on Sunday.

We went to this chi chi restaurant in the Berkshires that has a patio area with outdoor firepits with Adirondak chairs surrounding them and a Jazz player out there. It was awesome - a bunch of my friends I hadn't seen in while got together after my kids went to bed and we had a blast.

We also did hidden garden tours this weekend out there. I got to see some really nice, nice homes and their gardens. I am newly inspired to get going on my english gardens in my back yard, but they will probably have to wait some more. At least I have peonies and irises growing now - and my little tiny pepper plant colony.

Check put my timers.. yep I found a $90 rt fare from SW and booked it. Geoff and I are going for a long weekend Nov 10- 14th.. Yippee!!!! and we are taking my Dad.. hope I make enough $$$$ to pay for the trip...

I did say I may be able to come in OCT if the house sells and I wouldn't be alone. That llebrekniT is WAY too quick!

Came home from work to my littlest, 2.5, to a temp of 102.7. He wouldn't touch a thing of food. I KNEW by looking at him, he was gonna puke eventually. He held out for 2hrs and wa la........liquid puke with some chunks but mostly just liquid. Could be heat exhaustion, but I dunno. Looks bad in the eyes. A mom just knows. What the heck is up with a dead of summer fever? Poor lil guy!

castlegazer I'd be happy with another prince. I already have the clothes and toys. I just can't imagine a princess.

Well, gotta run the little booger to bed. What else ya wanna know?

Actually, we spent the bulk of the evening at a place called Splash. It's more a club than a bar, at least one that I can tolerate. They have a great 2 for 1 happy hour, hence that's why I picked it. However, the main reason we went is because it was a group of girls I used to work with. They needed (in their words, not mine), "gay bar therapy" since one of them had recently broken up with a boyfriend. I felt like I was the walk on in a rerun of Sex And the City.

Lewski, since the jig is up and everyone knows, CONGRATS!

Morning Kids! Hope everyone and the loved ones are all feeling 100% today It's a sunny HOT HOT HOT day in the desert.


I resisted a SERIOUS temptation last night. Here's the story (sorry castlegazer and geffric you can skip this if you read it already). The post below was in response to a question from castlegazer on when I'm going to cruise:

I finally found pictures of the gueen bed split into 'twins' (that's a joke) and e-mailed it to PixieMagic. Now she's thinking we should do two, single occupant, inside staterooms. I'm cool with that When I ran the numbers last night (for the 1/14 Magic), booking two Cat 11's (deck 6) through DCL was only $300 more that one cat 5 priced on Expedia. I am a bit surprised she's willing to give up a verandah, and I've offered to sleep on the couch/bed if she still wants one. I'm thinking she's OK with visits to the deck 7 'secret' verandah. Boy, it was hard last night while on line with DCL to not want to book those two perfect cat 11's (#6135 and 6137).....total $3992. I sooooo wanted to push that button! But right now, I'll just focus on paying off some bills and getting fit (still having some hip trouble....need more exercise!). (end quote)
