A cruise reply for ibouncetoo HI we have always been midship on deck 2.. and never felt the ship motion. I think that deck 6 feels the rolling of the boat more since it is higher up. Picture a tree , where the top part moves more than the bottom branches due to the wind. The lower decks don't feel the motion as much as the higher ones. On one of the cruises, at breakfast, the server asked if we were okay. It seems that those on the higher decks were have motion issues, but not us, we didn't feel it..Or is that because we can eat through anything? Or that Chocolate makes EVERYTHING better??



Not sure on the forward or aft issue...

Geffric That's where we've been on Disney cruises too...never felt any motion....until we were upgraded last Jan...kinda aft, high up....but I still didn't feel much motion and I actually LIKE motion...had it on Princess cruise...we were higher up, far forward...kinda rocked me to sleep

and back at ya there ibouncetoo. I left you a message over there too about some advice on booking - ya know, when you get to that point.

We were originally booked in the direct middle of the ship - I had the pick of the crop because I booked the day the cabin became available. Well, after reading discussions about this here, I switched to aft to have ease of access to the food, less used elevators, and the Mickey Pool. The CM that my TA talked to thought I was nuts, but I think I made the right decision - but I'll probably find out it was totally the wrong decision when I get there. I would say go aft or middle, but not bow or front.

BY the way, AZ was on our local news for your record heat and the loss of power - did you keep your power yesterday???

Here we are complaining up a storm about our measly little 93 degree heat with 80% humidity and ibouncetoo has heat of 130 degrees!

Oh and one more by the way thing, the rocking you feel higher up is not from waves but from the wind buffetting the ship. We found that out from a Princess Captain on the Grand - those ships are 16-17 stories high and they get some serious wind shear - that's why every day we would turn the TV on to see what the heck was going on with the wave height only to find <2' waves but yet we were bashing into walls while walking down hallways.

She came down with a bad summer cold and my son is hacking up a lung. I hope Tye feels better today. Just didn't want you to think you are alone - I think my buggars are suffering from air conditioner colds.

DHB - what the HECK is going on here? I am in complete dismay. See given years prior, all of us Red Sox fans would be sitting here going, well, this is typical. But now they have us all spoiled and thinking there would be no way they would lose the lead to the Yankees. WHAT THE HECK!!!!!!!

I don;t know what i was thinking, totally out of character.. how could i miss this...

Now mind you that i told everyone that I would not NOT micro manage this trip at all. I have done all of the trips for the past 15+ years, it is some one elses turn!! . Nope, not gonna check a map or look up anything at all.. just tell me what time and I'll be ready to go and show up when and where they tell me.... it is totally up to DH and Eric to plan, map it out, and make the reservations etc..

So I have been so busy that i haven't done anything.. before Eric left , he wanted to go to Busch gardens to ride the coaster. Scott wants to see the sites in DC. So they have been discussing this loudly for days. For some reason, we thought that Williamsburg was near DC. ( yep midwesterners all the way, no idea where anything is) Well today, i just could not help myself, had to peak!! Had to go online and see what I could do for BG... So I went online and can get a 2 nights of hotel and 2 free BG tickets for $99. Great deal !

But then i looked at a map.. Busch Gardens is a loooooong way from DC and Ft AP Hill Va.. so BG is off the list.. So I went to mapquest for the directions, followed along on my big Rand McNally map...But .. I can't believe this part..we are driving right by Hershey PA.. the home of Chocolate!!! ME driving by and not stoping at the chocolate town?? I do not think so!! I have to stop!!! I can win over Eric by telling him that we will go to Hershey's Park and he can ride the coasters there.. Oh no!! I am doing it again.. now I am micro managing the trip...

yeah butt, as has been so apparent lately, the Yankees have gone down to having only one bad day inbetween instead of two, so we need to get a better lead on them. Because there is no such rhyme or reason to the Red Sox off days.

...OMG ...thanks for posting the Hershey spa treatments...Well, for myself, one who normally doesn't "do" spa services, it was the "in Hershey, Pennsylvania are you able to relax AND enjoy chocolate without a single calorie" that caught my eye ........but what are you trying to do, get ChocolateSista fired?
