NC Belle You drive a hard bargain, sista. Not sure where I'm staying yet but do know I'll be rooming with my mighty cute 8 yr old cousin...still willing to trade? ;) :p

Ohanafamily Your stroller looks very nice and the price is VERY nice too :teeth: and no, those strollers aren't mine. Mine is made by a company called Aprica. Just called my neighbor and she says hers(which is almost identical to mine) is the Aprica Boardwalk. Try this link to view it... http://www.babyride.com/95442.html

All this stroller talk is making me feel OLD :( ...seems like I got it just yesterday when it was really almost 12 yrs ago! :p

Lewski And speaking of strollers...you got yourself a good one there, little lady! ::yes:: With a third one on the way, I'm sure you're the WDW stroller pro :teeth:

Castlegazer Feel free to clean out my cabinets ANYTIME ;) Am I wrong or is Catrina set to have more tests done in Oct? For some reason that's been in the back of my mind. BTW, got any new pics to share? :)

Hello everyone,
I thought I would stop by as I haven't been around for ages.
I'm back at work after the summer and I have a really nice class of 10 and 11 year olds this year. I'm still busy at the theatre, but not for long as I can't do the next show as I will be in WDW. We have to book our ADR's tomorrow, so fingers crossed we get what we want. Our friend has got the day off work to make the call at midday our time.

Oh well as I haven't been around for so long I guess I should read back a few pages and try to catch up.

I'm on my way! Just kidding!

Anyways, Thank you for asking. Catrina is now all set - her Chromosome tests came back competely clear - nothing there - no wierd genetic disorders, no funny hidden diseases, nothing. She just is weird with her funny finger, bent neck muscles, creased ear, creased butt, blocked nasal passage, tugging chest, etc...... They add up to essentially a hill of beans. We are in PT for her every week trying to get her to hold her neck straight and strengthen her muscles which seems to have led to her head flattening issue. She also does not need a helmet as she seems to be self-rectifying that situation.

I do have some awesome pictures and digital scrapbook layouts that I am dying to share, but have to figure it out at home and I haven't had a moment since I got back from Jersey.

OF - your stroller is just fine! Stop bugging the crap out of RRBB - she's right - no need for a new one!

 Danauk!

Just dropping by.

I got to warn y'all though---I was planning a trip in Jan., but the possible destinations seemed to be Nature's targets. The possible destinations were Anaheim (changed my mind when hearing the Haunted Mansion and POTC were going into re-hab), TX (Houston/San Antonio), Key West (as well as other FL choices), and the Carolina Coast. I was thinking even at point England and Phoenix---but airfare is a bit too pricey still. So, I'm thinking either saying no thank you to MIL's timeshare week offer (her week expires in 1/2006) or who knows where. We are a bit worried with Rita's projected targets (family in Houston and San Antonio). I think BIL is going to evacuate with his kids since they live outside of Houston. SIL will probably have to stay because of her job---insurance adjuster (I'm not sure).

PD to all who need it.

cadburysmom well yes, thanks. I feel like a WDW stroller aficianado. We've taken a few and this one is by far the best. I had a Sit N Stand on one trip, boy it was a PITA!!!! Don't even bother buying one if anyone is thinking about it. Heavy, hard to control, expensive, hard to manuever. UGH!
Someone is having stroller fantasies, thinks I. :rotfl2:

Ibounce  BACKATCHA!!!!

DanaUK glad you have a managable class this year.

Good News:
Sale pending on the other house!!!

Lewski---:goodvibes PD

I'm up late. I hope BIL/SIL/niece and nephew will be safe---they are on the road...maybe heading towards Dallas or NM or possibility of going east to our place. I had NC Beast call his mom to find out BIL's plans. We hope that they find a hotel room or catch up with some friends along the way. We are not sure if they have enough gas in the cars and other supplies. I don't think we will rest easy until next week or so...praying hard for TX/Gulf Coast. The Weather Channel guy---Jim Cantore (sp?) is near Houston. I was hoping that he wouldn't---that guy seems to be a hurricane magnet.

Well, 4 weeks until WDW for NC B's.

Can anyone get us to feel okay about Pop Century? Bad case of resort anxiety. I'm looking foward to be at BWV.

I keep on see rehab news on favorite rides---I was looking foward to the Liberty Belle cruise during the party. I guess we might have to go again next year.

I better get off-line and try to figure out the TX roads/evac. routes in case BIL calls tomorrow for advice.

Okay---need to find chocolate.

Morning.. I am here with your chocolate NC Belle

BTW POP isn't that bad.. it isn't as wonderful as WL or AKL etc but you are at WDW on property... it is fine...

Lewski---:goodvibes PD hope that the sale of the house goes through and real fast..
Ohanafamily I think you have stroller envy.. LOL.. yours is just fine, ask RRBB if you don't think so.

DanaUK glad things are better for you this year..

NCBelle - may God be with your family. This looks very bad. We are filling up our tanks with gas today.

As for PoP recommendations. I stayed there last March. Here's why I didn't enjoy myself and then I will tell you the good stuff. Our flight got in very late and we ended up getting there at 10:45 pm with my then two year old in tow. I had requested adjoining rooms, had faxed a request in, and had called and confirmed late check in. When we got through with the check-in process we had expired 45 minutes of our lives, exhausted ourselves arguing with the oh-so not nice CM's at the front desk over the fact that they had cancelled my reservation, not adjoined my rooms (I know that this is not a guarantee), and basically ended up sticking me into the farthest building possible when all was said and done.

So, my overall biggest complaint had to do with check-in and the amazingly rude CM's involved with this process.

Now the good:
We grabbed food to bring back to the room from Everything PoP and it was spectacular on-the-go food. I had a great beehive salad and we had great dips with pita chips and wonderful sandwiches. We ended up having to eat this in the dark while trying to get my son to sleep - but hey, it was good food.

When I finally woke up, we missed early entry because we were all so exhausted from getting to sleep after midnight, so I took a walk around the resort while my DH and son slept in some more. It was beatiful! I loved all the details and had a blast walking down the walks and reading the signs. I had fun walking through the foosball area and seeing the potato heads. It just was very neat. I went and got more food and mickey waffles for everyone for breakfast - again, good food (now, however, I noticed it was wicked expensive, though).

We took the buses to MK and this was fast, easy, and relaxing. No problems at all. We liked this a lot. They are direct buses that only serve PoP. (When they open the other side of generational bridge this will no longer be such a great thing as there is scheduled to be bajillions of rooms in PoP Century).

Our second night was not too bad (we didn't have any of the reported noise issues) but because they did not connect our rooms we were basically imprisoned in our room with my son and unable to use my mother as a baby sitter (she was along with us). So this was bad, but adjoining rooms, as I said above, are never guaranteed. But I had done everything in my power to get them, they had just found it there prerogative to cancel my original reservation our first night which had adjoining rooms and then when we cleared this up, the resort was full and it was virtually impossible to get adjoining rooms or even rooms in the same zip code as the main building. Alas, we vowed never to come back due to this asanine issue.

One last good:
We really did enjoy the pop fountain water park area and we liked the pools.

So overall, don't panic. The rooms are standard motel rooms and are fine. They are neat and clean as is every Disney room. They do not have any frills, but they serve the purpose. The resort itself is very cool to wander around in - especially for this 30 something'r. I loved the gift shop too. Its a bit of a pain in the keister how far you have to travel for a damn cup of coffee in the morning, but you get what you pay for. You definately can't complain about the price of the rooms - especially at code time or with AAA.

Have a great time going down memory lane - and just think about moving on out for the BWV.

Morning All! I get to dawdle a bit as I have a 10AM Dr appointment and it didn't make sense, geographically speaking, to go in to the office first. I've been spending a bit of time on the LOST threads discussing last night's premiere. This show just gets better and better ::yes::

chocolategirls, haven't checked my lottery/powerball tickets yet, but you'll be the first to know. Hey, SECOND prize in the powerball was $200,000, that would do!

oops, dryer is buzzing, catch you all later.

Hi guys, haven't been on lately. There is something wrong with my computer again. Something to do with Backweb...OF?????

OF my recommnendations are to get a umbrella stroller that allows for the baby to lay down. This way he could sleep and you wouldn't have to leave the park. LEWS looks great. I would not bring the huge sroller. Too hard if you decide to take the busses.

BELLE last time we were at WDW Sam and I stayed at POP and absolutely loved it! We had a room with a view of the Epcot fireworks. Was very clean and a lot of fun stuff to look at. Great hotel for the price.

CASTLEGAZER you read my mind. That is exactly what the doc is looking for with my MRI. Pretty scary. I only have the tingling of the limbs but no vision loss or any other symptoms that I can see. I see the doc on Wednesday.

MY MRI-thank God that is over with. Took my happy pills about a half hour out and they were still not working. My friend insisted that they wait until I was ready. She is so good. They put me on the table, put the face mask on and I let them roll me in. I did not sleep but I was ok. Thank God for Ativan!!! So I will see the results on Wed,

ok, will log off before the computer boots me off. How come everytime my hubby is gone, the computer craps out? 3 weeks and counting. He said he may not be there thre full 2 mos. hooray!!

GEFFERIC and CADSMOM how are the boys doing at their x country meets???

ibounce, if you win, can I come too???

LEW how is the sale going???

DANA did you get your ressies???

Hi guys,

Firstly PD to all those affected by the awful storms. I hope you are able to get out of Ritas path.

I am so excted today. Today was the 90 day mark for our Christmas trip so my friend Andy took the day off work to book our ADR's. We managed to get all the ones we wanted for between 7pm and 7:30 which is perfect for us. He has to phone back tomorrow for New Years day as that wasn't open yet. So we got:
23rd December - Yachtsmans steakhouse
24th December - California Grill at 7:15pm
25th December - Cape May cafe
26th December - Artists Point
27th December - CP package at Alfredo de Roma
28th December - Off site at Unversal
29th December - Bombas
30th December - Ohanas
31st December - Hollywood Brown Derby, 7pm

Lewski great news on the house front.

Oh well I should go. I have a rehearsal tonight at the theatre.

Hi all,

Lewsky, Congrats on the sale!!!!!

NCBelle, If your family gets to Dallas, let us know; we might be able to do a dinner or something... As far as POP goes, I heard that the rooms are OK, the worst problem is that it looks tacky from the highway. I also heard that the bus service is great...

CG, Every once in a while you get a rude & incompetant CM; I would not let it effect staying there again.

DanaUK, Yipee on the ADR's

:wave2:

I think I almost over being nervous about Pop---its got to be at least better than the Orlando hotel that we stayed during our honeymoon. That room was so small that the queen size bed took up 75% of room---no exaggeration. That was like $30 or $40 and no themes. We could had stayed on-site for $77 back then (I have no clue which hotel that would had been in 1996), but we were trying to be good on budget. There are some moderates still available on Friday and sat. dates (just in case). I think I will miss having a ceiling fan for a few days.

:jumping2:
OF :sad2: Will you never learn? The DW is ALWAYS right! ::yes::

As for me, I always took the BIG stroller! The few minutes inconvience with having to fold it on buses or trams is FAR outweighed by the convenience of a stroller with a large basket, cupholders, good handling, canopy, etc for the other 12-14 hours of the day! :teeth: PLUS, DH was a sweetie and carried it 90% of the time while I carried the kids and/or bags! Now that our kids are 3 & 4 and both potty trained and off bottles and don't need tons of stuff taken in with them, we take a good-quality double umbrella stroller. But if I have a bag with diapers, wipes, sippie cups, bottles, snacks, change of clothes, sunscreen, Purell, etc. in it, you better BET I've got a big stroller to stuff it under!

Sorry we can't join you that night...we already have ADR's at Le Cellier :teeth: Thanks for the offer though, that was sweet of you guys! :daisy:

To Bad, It would have been nice to see y'all again. IAN needs to meet his Intenet Aunties!!! BTW, We have an ADR at Le Cellier for Thursday Night...

Oh well, anybody else???

:jumping2:

Hey, Kadaten, any chance on getting together some other time between the 22nd-30th?????
