moving luggage

I see a lot of people resort hop to get reservations ( or just because they want to:). Will the resort move your luggage for you or do you have move yourself? Sorry for the stupid question just never changed hotels before except when they screwed up my reservation one time and they took care of everything with that move. Just curious if I'm going to have to spend a day moving or can they send my luggage from resort to resort? Just was thinking about piecing together a short notice trip during high volume season and may have to cobble together at least 2 resorts.

Bell Services will transfer luggage between resorts for you. They only do this once during the day so your luggage will not be available at the new resort until 4pm or later.

we took a taxi between resorts so we could go direct so we just brought our luggage and lect it with the bell captain. When the room was ready we just grabbed the luggage.

Thanks for the help. Not that it would matter we usually drive. Just wanting to know what kind of delay it would be and how most people manage it.
Thanks

We've always had a car for our trips, so we move it ourselves. We just make sure to put some extra in the tip budget for Bell Services, because we generally move in the morning and of course the room isn't expected to be ready for us by then.

I keep trying to schedule our Moving days as POOL days, but that gets thwarted by the very people (husband and son) who insist they want more pool days added to the trips!

Be sure to keep necessary items like medications and swimsuits in a backpack/tote/whatever and do NOT leave those with Bell Services, b/c you might want those during the day!

Bell services will transfer your luggae for you. However it usually takes several hours. We usaully leave it with them early in the AM, and it is delivered by the late afternoon. Never had a problem as we are in the parks most of the day.

We've never had a car and did a resort switch for the first time last year (from CBR to BLT). We packed our backpack for a day at the parks and Bell Services picked the rest of the luggage up at our room. We spent the day at the MK, checked in late that afternoon at MK, and Bell Services brought the bags (and our GG order) up right away. It was so easy that we're going to start booking all of our trips as split stays so we get to experience more resorts.

We have done this a number of times and I have a method! :)

We get the bags ready in the morning (they of course have to be ready by check out time). At least one person stays with the bags and gets them to Bell Services. Then that person (and usually our kids) go to the park closest to the next resort.

Meanwhile, I make my way to the new resort as early as possible. This gets me there when basically no one is checking in. Flights have not arrived yet, so very few if any people checking in. This means no line and also first crack at whatever class of room. Great if there is a special room request. Still doesn't guarantee it, but you never know. I've even actually gotten into my room as early as 6:30 AM - most likely because the room was empty the night before.

Then I join the rest of the family at the park and we return to the new resort in the afternoon, by which time our luggage is usually alreadythere and the room is ready (if it wasn't before).
