Moving away from kids...

LOL! I come back after a few hours away and the thread gets even stranger. Now, he's not going, and we've all misinterpreted his plane tickets. Also, wondering about the timeline. He says he was living with mommy for 5 months before seeing girlfriend (which he did in June, by my calculation from other threads....I'm sure OP will correct us all). Yet, in Feb, he was still living in the family home and he was seeking advice on remodeling the basement. So, things went down hill pretty fast since he also must have moved out of the family home in Feb. Whatever.

And, the real kicker to me is that he isn't even divorced. They are SEPARATED people. Not divorced. Every piece of relationship advice I've ever received is that you do not, DO NOT, and HELL TO THE NO DO NOT, start with a new relationship until your prior one is concluded. Geez. At least get the divorce final before you start playing daddy to another set of kids. Ack.

What surprised me most though is that no one mentioned that he was also a schoolteacher earlier this year. Just a jack of all trades....

In a school district flush with cash. Now, 9-10 months later, he's separated, obviously no longer working as a teacher (as last time I checked, schools run in the fall, winter and spring, giving you summers off....though I suppose that's when he's coaching that elite team that is flying around), his college girlfriend (who is been in touch with, but only as a friend) has a second husband who commits suicide, he travels to "comfort" her and they take up again. Phew. Now, he wants to make another MAJOR life decision by abandoning his kids. Have we got all that? It's a wonder he's still walking around upright, and not catatonic from all the stress.

There's stuff missing here somewhere. This doesn't even make sense. Which things were lies (or exaggerations?) OP? What happened to the teaching job? Why are you now unemployed....or working outdoors, which means you don't work in the winter? Why are you looking for a finance job? Eeek.

But you are going. You are leaving in early December for a month, spending the holidays with someone else's children instead of your own.

Where did I EVER say I am not spending the holidays with my kids?? I wait in extreme anticipation for your answer...

I just don't understand how, as a parent, you'd be okay with only seeing your kids 2-3 days out of the month. By choice. You're really willing to risk your relationship with your children for this other woman?

I'm not the one who created a thread about wanting to move away from my children to play house with somebody else.

I understand your current situation isn't what you want it to be. But reality is you still have two young children who need you. They need their father. You are risking doing serious harm to your relationship with them. Just think about that. The grass is always greener in the other side. If this woman truly loves you (and you love her) then she'd be willing to wait and make it work long distance.

My problem is when these hens just make up stuff to serves their purposes..
