Move over Dumbo our circus is taking over! Surprise trip adventure!!

Annnnnnnnnnnd, they're off! Yay! Oh wait, your mother did a great job decorating the vehicle. :thumbsup2 John would have a canipshun fit if I stuck anything on our car. I'm doing good to have an antennae topper. :worried:

So how many hours of driving was done before it became daylight?

Great update. Love seeing the kids still all excited and love the selfie. Oh, and mom did a great job on the car. :thumbsup2

I hate driving in the dark...it bothers me and I avoid it at all costs. Atlanta is boring...just like Indianapolis. Plus they drive like jerks in Atlanta.

Can't wait to read more.

I'm here, I'm here! From the Sept. 2014 thread! LOVE your style, your report is so entertaining! Looking forward to more!

I'm totally in! I'm from your Sept. Facebook group and just saw you started this!

I love this so far. The reveal? Priceless. i don't know how you could keep a secret for 2 years!

And your drive looks oh so familiar! We took almost the same drive, but left from Milwaukee! And we left in daylight. You are a trooper for driving all night!

Can't wait to hear more.

Oh, I also love Jack Skellington and Nightmare Before Christmas!

Loved it! Love the car - your mom did a great job! So, did anyone honk or anything at you? If I would see a car like that - I'd be next to them, dancin' in my drivers seat. :woohoo:

I was so worried about you driving that night - I wish I could have stayed up and talked to you to keep you awake for part of the trip.

Can't wait to hear how the rest of of the trip goes.

Love you all!

D~

She did do a great job! all the little cut outs are magnets! my car? It's a work horse really.. between the kids and all sports Dogs it takes a major beating!
See I cannot have an antennae thing! I KNOW someone will steal it! I saw so many i just LOVED in Disney too!

So how many hours of driving was done before it became daylight?

about 15 hours from when we left our house.. it sucked! I drove about 3 hours in the BLACKNESS.

Great update. Love seeing the kids still all excited and love the selfie. Oh, and mom did a great job on the car. :thumbsup2

I loved my car!!!

I hate driving in the dark...it bothers me and I avoid it at all costs. Atlanta is boring...just like Indianapolis. Plus they drive like jerks in Atlanta.

Can't wait to read more.

I love this so far. The reveal? Priceless. i don't know how you could keep a secret for 2 years!

It was NOT easy to keep this a secret. I can guarantee next time will not be a surprise!

And your drive looks oh so familiar! We took almost the same drive, but left from Milwaukee! And we left in daylight. You are a trooper for driving all night!

I am sure we took the exact same drive. But yours was way longer! we left about 5pm central time. I probably should have said that...

Can't wait to hear more.

I will post more! :rotfl:

Oh, I also love Jack Skellington and Nightmare Before Christmas!

Best movie ever made.

Following! :). Glad I found this! It eases my post disney blues

:wave2: and Welcome! Thanks for jumping on board!!!
It does help the Disney blues took me a while to start it because of my depression. It is helping a LOT!

Loved it! Love the car - your mom did a great job!

she really did I thought it was so cute!

So, did anyone honk or anything at you? If I would see a car like that - I'd be next to them, dancin' in my drivers seat. :woohoo:

Not until we were ON disney grounds. I would have done the same if we saw someone!

I was so worried about you driving that night - I wish I could have stayed up and talked to you to keep you awake for part of the trip.

I wish i had you! But i needed all focus on the BLACK Roads. I was getting so crossed eyed. i had to stop so often for a bio-break just to keep myself up! Plus with eh soothing sound of everyone sleeping? Ugh.

Can't wait to hear how the rest of of the trip goes.
Love you all!
D~

:thumbsup2
I Love you too!!!

The van is decorated too cute!!
You are a saint for driving at night!
Thanks!
I hate driving at night in total darkness. just makes you googlied eyed!

Just wanted to stop by and say hi. I found your trip report through D.'s.
I loved your reveal video. Your kids looked like they were in shock.
I hate driving in the dark and the route to Florida can be so boring in Georgia.
We take 77 through the mountains which is bad at night.
I can't wait to read more.

Love the van! We made magnets for the door for our cruise and our hotel, but I never thought about putting them on the car. I will this time!

Keeping the on site stay a secret from my husband wasn't hard. He never did ask what hotel we were staying at. It was hard keeping my excitement to myself the day the Magic Bands came in.

How many hours is your drive? It's only 11 to Disney for us, but my husband if from Ohio and that's 15 hours.

Just joined in- you have the best writing style love your humour- can't wait to see how it all goes!

They were collecting for the disabled Vets and if you know me KNOW we had to stop give our thanks contribute and of course a picture!

inside:

Zack just being... well a... donkey...

We had our most delicious O.J. on the PLANET!

I wish we brought home GALLONS of this.

:woohoo:

The silly smirk.. Again!

Don't know what to tell ya..

We were SO excited to be IN FLORIDA!!!!

but the grey skies:

They opened up and it started to rain.

Drivers switch!

We were all so EXCITED party: just to be in Florida the sunshine state! :beach: SUNSHINE STATE.......

after a small storm of rain the blue skies did greet us and welcomed us to Florida!

I was UNAWARE how long of a drive it would be from the state line- to Disney world. I know I passed out- finally and ACTUAL SLEEP! :cloud9: a full on sleep. the kids and Tom all kept quiet enough for me to have a couple of hours! :woohoo: Tom did say the munchkins did take naps too
When i woke up i felt so much better!!! We were back on track singing our hearts out to the Disney music we had!!! I am SURE people in surrounding cars heard us. we didn't care! We were on the FINAL STRETCH HOME!!!

************************************************************

Trying to make the drive sound a lot more entertaining then it actually was. :joker:
We left Chicago about 5pm and were in Florida about 7 or 8am.
15 or so hour drive. We made wonderful time!!! One perk, and probably the only perk, of driving through the night is no traffic. Kids sleeping most of the drive helped too.

How many hours is your drive? It's only 11 to Disney for us, but my husband if from Ohio and that's 15 hours.

YAY!!! MORE READERS!!!

:welcome:

To everyone who boarded this crazy report!!!!

You did an awesome job making the drive sound entertaining! I can't imagine 15 hours in the car with my DH and kiddos - good thing we live so close to Disney. I will be super thankful on Saturday for our short 2.5 hour drive down!

This afternoon I am going to try and find where to plug in my headphones so I can watch the reveal video. I know I am missing out having not seen it yet. I'll be prepared to cry.

Hope you are having a great day!

Nice! When we drove it from Kenosha to Disney World we stopped in Atlanta area for a night. It really was such a long drive... so it's awesome you were able to do it non stop!
The kiddos look like they are having a great time with the long drive!

So excited that you are almost there!

Yay for arriving in the Sunshine State! Loving all of the silly face pictures of the kids and of the hubster. You can tell that they were all happy to be on their way to Disney World.

I understand how tough it is to make a 15 hour drive sound exciting. Our's is somewhere in that range too.

They had MORE then enough to keep themselves busy. so they were fine and dandy. Plus side they are a little older so they know boundaries.
Don't get me wrong there were a LOT of slap happy moments!

We are ALMOST HOME!

they are all nuts. bottom line. I'm the only sane one of the group. Remember this for future references?!? :rotfl2:
