I did surprise my husband and daughter on our trip last year. They thought we were staying off site. I waited until we were in Orlando to give them the Magic Bands and tell them we were staying at Pop and had free dining.

I shouldn't have watched that video at work! I started crying right along with the kiddos! What a wonderful moment! We surprised our kids in June and my 9yo started crying as well. It makes all of the hard work worth it!!

I absolutely loved both videos! My parents surprised us kids with a trip to DL one year and it remains one of my all time favorite childhood memories.

The 2nd reveal video was incredible, watching the kids' reactions brought back so many memories. Meg, how cute was she? I loved how emotional she got. You can just see it in her eyes how much it meant to her. You got every reaction possible, the emotional and the skeptical...so perfect.

Friday:
Worked here, Basketball practice, Dog training. Fell flat on my face. still not feeling well!!!

Saturday:
FIRST day since we have been back i was able to SLEEP IN! oh it was wonderful! But i believe i need a new mattress, as i woke up so stiff and have body pains! Went to the kids pep rally! from 2-7:45 because then i had to go to a mandatory meeting at job #2 got out of there at midnight. Home. fell to my face again.

Sunday:
Worked Job #2 from 9:30am-3 came home and finally just relaxed on the couch with the kids. Ordered in and watched Rio 2.

today? Back at the City job.. Finally have my Doc appointment. HOPEFULLY go home and relax with the family and WATCH OUR DISNEY MOVIES! we haven't watched them yet! I'll let ya know tomorrow if we did just that!

Until then i need to do an update!!!!

ohh the reveal. Every time i watch it i cry all over again.
I was looking forward to that moment for such a long time the actual trip felt secondary!

The shock to their systems, I don't think they EVER got over it. To this day i think they still have after shocks, I see tears in their eyes still..

Their reaction made my love for Disney all that much more.. To be able to make my kids feel like that. To see the happiness, tears of JOY, Best Mom Ever comment, tell me...... Where else in this world would anyone get that kind of reaction? Great america? A water park? No.
Disney does.

Needless to say we left a lot later then i had anticipated. After the reveal video, dry the tears, I still had to finish PACKING.
Yes i was still packing up to the moment of walking out the house! Can you believe it?!? sadly i was. Until i gave up and figured anything left behind could be bought later!
The midgets all ran upstairs to change, grab the few things they needed and stuffies they wanted to bring along, i finally brought down my luggage.

WE'RE READY TO HIT THE ROAD!

I did make Tom drive first so we can go through the binders I made them, then was bombarded with PEELS OF joyful screams! We were going to DISNEY! FINALLY!

They were so so excited they couldn't contain themselves.. Honestly neither could Tom and I!!!
We explained how we weren't supposed to leave until Saturday, but since Tom thought i would be a raving lunatic from Friday to Saturday we would add a Disney day! (This is why i married this man... ) AWESOME was their reaction.
We went through the binders and what we would be doing each day. Told them there were a couple more surprises up my sleeve once we were there! Which turned into AWWWWWW COME ON!


Nope.


About an hour into the drive Meg got all comfy.. Honestly i was a bit jealous of her and Duffy!

As we were driving we were watching the weather... It was UGLY North Yet we could see SUNNY skies ahead of us! TAKE US SOUTH TO DISNEY!


These thing just creep me out.

If you look in the side mirror you can see the darkness behind us!






Our first stop was around Indianapolis for food and potty breaks. Knowing i had a long drive and in the dead of night i had to force myself to get some sleep. It was useless waking up every 30 minutes.

Taking pictures being THAT tired in a moving car proved almost impossible.
Another cat nap, then i felt as if my ear started to bleed!!! WHAT?! Tom said we were in the mountains. like it's an everyday occurrence. oh, is that all?
I was up for a while, looking out to the BLACKNESS, could see NOTHING... just the little reflective street markings. Well this is uneventful.
I went back to sleep if that's what you want to call it.

We stopped In Tennessee so I can take over driving.
I am sorry but i must say this.

I. Don't. Like. Georgia.

Don't know if it was because it's as boring as Indiana, Atlanta is pretty much like driving in Chicago (only a lot smaller) I didn't see a SINGLE PEACH.
I was really mad about this. No peaches!!!! What's that about Georgia?!?!

Moving right along..

I was getting pretty BATTY driving in utter.. BLACKNESS. All is quiet in the car, some even snoring, everything around me was... BLACK. My eyes crossing i took out my night driving glasses which are the UGLIEST things you have ever seen but helps! Turned on some They Might Be Giants (I needed sing along- )the 16 hour Disney play list i made wasn't cutting it. I was back on track.

After what seemed like FOREVER I finally saw daylight!!! I was NEVER so happy to see daylight in my life!!! HOOORAYYYYYYYY Oh my Happiness the SUN HAS RISEN! now i need to pee.

Yet!!! Have to keep going




Can't stop...




Need to get to my stop before Tom takes over driving again...
