Grumble.. I was almost done with replies when i accidentally exited out of this tab... Here we go again!

How fun!

I totally agree about the welcome arch. DH and I both feel like something is just not the same if you don't drive under it. Google maps wants to take us a back way in for our next trip and I am seriously considering going out of our way to get that magical moment under the arch.

NO! you MUST go through the Arch! just can't take short cuts when it comes to Disney!!! LOL!

Joining in and just got caught up. LOVE the reveal video. I cried like a baby watching it. DH walked in, looked at me, looked at the computer, shook his head and walked back out. Sometimes he just doesn't get it! We were there the same dates as you! We also have a 16 hour drive, so we fly now. More time for fun!

I'm with you...I don't like those boring buses at all (but then we don't use them either).

You passed our "first' home away from home...the Coronado. And if you go right by Huey, Louie and Dewey you hit Old Key West...our new home (most of the time).

I know! I thought of you when i took the picture.. But the OKW picture i have didn't come out..

Just seeing pictures of the arches makes me all happy inside.

You seriously have almost all the same travel pictures that we do! And our drive isn't that much longer than yours, only about 90 minutes more than you. We made it to Macon, Georgia the first day and only had about 4 1/2 hours the next. We hit a lot of traffic, though. Smart move leaving at night!

Yes it is so much easier to drive after rush hour.. and when the construction co. are NOT working. makes it all that much easier to get where you need to be! still is a boring drive.

How cute that little girl wrote a message to your kids! The magic started right away! Glad you made it!

Isn't she the cutest?!?! YES! the magic started as soon as we passed that ARCH!

FINALLY here catching up and omg your reveal post gave ME anxiety reading it!! so happy it went over so well!

I couldn't be happier with the way it went! they were so excited and appreciative!!! I AM THE BEST MOM EVER! where is my award?!?!

also, this had me cracking up: "HEY GUYS! How was school??? (like I care)" hahahaha love it. and the reveal video has me tearing up over here, I love their reactions so much. can't wait to read more!!

I was 'trying' to act cool.
The reveal video is the sweetest thing ever! i will cherish this forever. then when they are teenagers i will replay it to REMIND them that Yes indeed i am the best Mom ever..

Hello all!

Today- need to work here then off to my Happy job #2 until close. I don't like that. means i don't get home until 11-11:30.

I was able to get the first two days edited!!! the kids stole one of my cameras so some of the pictures are going to look a little wonkey.
I have about 98345702870238457203456204 castle pictures. I promise to ONLY post the good ones. currently working on Sept 8th now. with the above mentioned castle pictures...

This was my desk yesterday trying to get all the pictures downloaded from MM and trying to edit as much as i can:

OK a question in regards to Photopass downloads..

It is taking me DAYS to get these all downloaded! Why can't i just hit one dang button and ALL pictures get downloaded at one time. WHY do i need to go through like 89 download links?!?!
At this rate i MIGHT have then done by next year!!!

Woohoo you made it!

Have to agree Georgia is one of the worst places to drive, along with Alabama and 10 across the Florida panhandle. BORING!!!!! And never ending. Though the trip from Southern Indiana (grew up there) to Chicago is just flat, flat and more flat.

Love the white board idea, great way to communicate with another vehicle though what I want to write might not be appropriate.

I'm waiting for the day that we drive under the arch or see one of the entrances and say "Look honey we're at Disney World aren't you excited" and my husband shanks me! Though it could be because we live here and I do it all the time! He also doesn't understand my obsession with waving at strangers at stop lights because I think everyone at Disney should be in a good mood!

Once we were though the magical arch we have transformed into the Land of Magical Memories, Pixi dust, Bloody noses, swollen legs,


Oh I digress...
Let's just check into resort #1!!

So after Tom and i talked. He knowing dang well i would be scaling walls waiting to tell kids- we decided to go a day earlier, which meant i needed another resort. After very little planning lets go to POR Riverside!
Kids were excited as they LOVE the pool here, they have a WONDERFUL food court, well... it's NEW ORLEANS!
First was:

I waved at D~ who was there a couple of months earlier
THEN IT WAS:

it was almost time TO GET OUT of the damn car!

Look at the SMILES!!!!

once we parked at the guest services we pretty much FELL out of the car:
Squinting at the sun, Stretching, walking like we had poles up our.....

backs...
we waddled into:




If i could add sounds it would be... OOf, ow, ugh. with each step.

I was giddy!!! It's just so pweeeetty!



Found the on-line check in and met a WONDERFUL CM who checked us in! we had so much fun with her (i am kicking myself in the behind for NOT remembering her name!) we were all excited together! she handed the kids their Birthday buttons then Sang to them! Tom and i got buttons for celebrating their birthday and it said Mom and Dad! never had that before!
Gave us our Map of the resort, pointed us in the right direction and off we went to find our room for the night!
2nd floor can't find the picture of the map i had?!?! But i know we were in Building 15 second floor looking out to the parking lot. where we parked the car!
YAY STAIRS!

As soon as the bed was opened the bickering began in WHO got to sleep there.. Matt won hands down. "I'm NOT sleeping with those two they are coughing their heads off, let them cough with each other"
SOLD!!!! the alligator bed is YOURS! Seriously how can you argue with this logic?



Once in the room i gave them Tess's gifts (only have video of this and will take forever to upload but i will try!)
I gave meg her Bows and this one wanted one of them:

He wore it as a bow tie for a couple of days.... He said It's SHOW YOUR DISNEY SIDE right?
again there is no arguing his logic.

At this point we were starving and just ITCHING to get to a park!
first lets eat:

we may at this point started fighting over the fries... they are SO YUMMY.
People sitting next to us struck up a conversation and were extremely nice people!! i don't recall exactly what it was about but we had lots of laughs! i think they didn't believe me when i told them my three were triplets either. Most people don't. can't blame them...

after VERY FULL bellies it was time to grab a bus and head on over to:
Magic Kingdom!!!
I NEEDED to see philharmonic before it closed!!!

Oh the excitement was building! we were all dancing in our seats! pulling in the pearly gates of the WONDERFUL MAGIC KINGDOM
We were all on the edge of our seats... about to break out of this BUS!
Finally it stopped at the FARTHEST bus stop i have ever seen. Didn't matter! we were IN DISNEY! The kids and i skipped and skipped

Then stopped dead in our tracks.
it was that night of joy night. and let me tell you... IT WAS INSANE.
people everywhere.

we made a family decision this was NOT our first park.
and skeeeeeeedaddled out of there!

So where do you go when your not going near MK?!?!

That is my big problem with the FP+ if you decide to go to a park that is insane, you are stuck there unless you have park hoppers

Don't you just LOVE POR!?! DH and I have talked about considering another resort and we just can't even consider it. Its just so beautiful.

AH yes, I've heard things about how crazy night of joy can be. I don't blame you from running away from it.

Yay you've checked in. I've never stayed at POR-Riverside, but if we ever went back to a moderate and Coronado was not available, POR-Riverside would be our only other choice.

Love the new pull down bed...and smart son you have there sticking the coughing ones together.

Night of Joy crowds. We've experienced them before; glad you decide to go elsewhere. I'm going to guess you went to the Studios.

This made me laugh at work. Thankfully I laugh often at work so no one suspected anything.

POR looks beautiful! WE booked a bounce back for next year and booked CBR again because we love it, but we are thinking of changing it to POR just for something different. It looks so beautiful there and I LOVE New Orleans. Hard to leave what we love, but I think we might have to.

That pasta looked so good!

Yikes about the Night of Joy. We would have left too. Don't want huge crowds like that!

i'm back and spent an awesome morning getting all caught up--love it all!!

your pics of walking into POR made me so happy! I loved it when we stayed there.....sigh!

and the alligator bed!! we stayed in a royal room when we went and didn't have that. Louis and ray are my favorites! if we'd been in that room the girls would have had to fight ME for that!

I love all the goofy pics of the kids (bigfoot walk!!) and muppets references, but most of all, i am loving matt's logic--let the siblings cough on each other, wear my sisters bow as a show your Disney side bowtie. that's my kind of kid (and logic)!

can't wait for more! (and, we were just there shortly after you all. when i start a TR i'll let you know, in case you need more Disney in your life! )

Just look at all of those little smiling faces! You can tell that they are so happy to be at Walt Disney World. I took a boat ride over to Port Orleans while the guys were at Disney Quest. It really is a beautiful resort. I haven't gotten around to that part of my trip report so I can't say what his thoughts were just yet.

I've seen video of the Nights of Joy and the crowds looked massive! Good idea to go somewhere else for the evening.
