mouskeeping for short stays?

Just curious. Is there mousekeeping for stays shorter than 5 days? We went down for a 4 day stay just before Thanksgiving.

We assumed we would not get mousekeeping since it is usually on the 4th day (the day we were leaving). But when we got back after a long morning in the park on day 3, we noticed mousekeeping had been by to give us new supplies. While we were happy to get fresh towels, we were a little miffed because we had left out our laptops and cameras. And obviously we hadn't left any tip. Normally, we would have buried away any valuables if we knew someone would be coming in.

so is this common practice for short stays?

If you stayed 4 nights, you should have gotten mousekeeping on Day 4 (counting arrival as Day 1). If your stay was only 3 nights, then you got a little bonus.

Count the day you check in as day one. Then you get trash and towels on day four. Your reservation should also have the day you get T&T service listed on it.

hmmm. we arrived on monday, left on friday and had the mousekeeping on thurs. Not sure why I was thinking otherwise, but I guess that would be day 4, right? I guess I was thinking Friday would be day 4 since we were staying 4 nights. sorry for the confusion. I will have to remember that for now on...
