Mousesavers reporting a huge deal for first half of 2009 coming tomorrow!

We have a room only ressie for May with AAA discount already so I'm anxious to hear what this is all about. If the ticket rumor is true it doesn't really save us anything because we use other sources for our tix BUT if the room deal is true (4 for 7) then we'd save $200 so it'd be worth booking the tix with the room and making it a package. I can't wait, I hope it's even bigger than we're thinking, things are tight these days!

We are going to DL instead of WDW this year too. The discounts are never the same though DL frequently has buy however many days get however many free. But the on property resorts there are all deluxe price range. If you are a costco member they have a link to whatever the sale is going on plus you get a free character breakfast and gift card in addition to whatever the sale gives you. So far nothing for DL past December.

DL has ticket deals for 2009 where everyone pays the kids price. It runs Jan through April.

I am asuming every member of your party has to have the tickets to get the package deal. ??

We are a family of 5, 3 Disney adults, 1 child, 1 free 2year old.

My 11yo DS and I already have Annual Passes. Plus, we also have 2 single day single park tickets.

I wonder if these 4 for 7 tickets would still be good for a later time? And, will they be just base or hoppers?

I am going to be so confused by the math with this offer.

It is a great one, esp since we are in the $200 gift card window!! We are going Jan 19-27th

Right now we have WL at 40% off for all of the 8 nights that we have.

I wonder if they would let me use the 40% discount on the 1 extra night above the 4 for 7 offer?

I have been doing some math, and seeing as we already have 2 APs and the 40% off at WL, I can't see where my savings would be with this new offer. Anyone have any input? We are 3 Disney adults and 1 child--(2 of the adults have APs already.)

I'm not sure it this helps, we are at CR for rack rate of 350/night/8 nights. IF this were room only, it comes to roughly 37.5%. Sounds like it won't be room only, so I need to figure out the deal with the tickets, since I have an AP. Anyway, my guess is that you are better off with the 40% you have now and I'm guessing with shuffling the tickets, this "deal" will only give us a 30% off the rack rate. Of course if the throw in 3 nights free dining with 4 nights paid dining, that makes it much more valuable for us! Good luck with the math!

Assuming they offer the three free nights entirely, meaning you get a full package with dining and that dining plan is also free on those three nights, it looks pretty good to me. THIS IS ALL Speculation!!!

I never thought about HAVING to buy the 4 day passes with this... it is DEFINITELY a deal breaker for us then since we all have AP's I might be able to overlook the cost of a 1 day ticket for later use, but not a 4 day pass!

Often certain rooms are not available for these special deals and family suites usually aren't available. Do you have any flexibility on staying elsewhere if need be to get the deal? Lots of resorts have really popular room types or some that they have few of that rarely are part of deals. I know before we had to get a bunk bed room (costs extra) to get a dscount which still worked out to our advantage but negated some of the savings. We have also had to switch away from PO-FQ numerous times. King beds is the other one we've not been able to get on promos.

If you only sell using "But it Now" you can set your price and won't run the risk of selling at a loss.

I hope they include paying for dinning for 4 nights and get 3 free because if not then going during free dining is cheaper for my family. My boys like to eat so free dining saves us a lot. Come on 5.

I don't think so. In the past they allowed you the prevailing room rate or package rate that was in affect on your check in date. A few years ago (or maybe only 1 year ago) their systems were upgraded to charge the actual rate for each night of your stay.

When the 4/3 deals were offered in the past, you could check in on the last day the package was available and get the package for your entire stay, but not anymore.

I just did a quick test with the Fall room rates. The special is blocked out Dec 7-13. I tried to book it checking in on Dec 5 and out on the 10th. I get an error telling me the dates are not valid for the offer.

It still would be a great deal. But believe me, there is no such thing as a FREE hotel if you´re already paying for 4 nights. It´s a discount. A GREAT DISCOUNT!

My AP is valid from our April trip this year, we are going in March next year. So I don't need to renew or purchase another AP.

Also I think you can only use tickets to upgrade within 10 days of first use, so my tickets from 1999 can't be used toward an AP.
