Mousesavers reporting a huge deal for first half of 2009 coming tomorrow!

Soooooo, since we're a bit ho-hum about the current rumors, to pass the time, should we talk about what deal *would* blow our minds?? I'll start:

Buy 4 nights and get 3 free. Free dining for all 7 nights (LOL). $200 gift card to be used for anything at the parks, including tours, restaurants, and tips. I think if Disney offered that, my mind would officially be blown.

Anyone else want to dream BIG with me?? :rotfl:
We have 2 adults plus 4 kids (2 over 10 next year though) so the 4/3 w/ free dining would absolutely blow my mind. My mind is blown everytime I price out a WDW vacation:) :thumbsup2

As far as I know it will be bookable this afternoon. The reservations center is normally open until 8:00 pm Eastern.

Mary,
do you know if this can be applied to an existing reservation, or will I have to cancel and re-book?

I just got a great CM... this was our conversation:

Me: Hello! I'm one of those people you probably hate who are reading message boards and learning about some wonderful announcement that may or may not be coming out around 5pm today.

She: LAUGHS

Me: We currently have a room-only reservation booked through AAA. If there were, you know, any wonderful announcement about a great deal coming out today, would you happen to know if my reservation would fall into the correct category?

She: If there WERE such a wonderful announcement, your PACKAGE would have to be booked through AAA, with your AAA Travel Agent.

Me: Ah, so no wonderful room-only announcements?

She: Packages are always great to have, ma'am!

Me: Yes, but we already have tickets purchased on base.

She: Tickets don't expire, but great announcements do!

We both laugh.

Scene.

So, I guess you could go through AAA too...

Sell the base tickets on ebay! I have 3 day base tics I got from airmiles that I will just flip on ebay if the deal works for me :)

Buy 4 nights, get 3 free (with whatever you booked - tickets, dining, etc) AND you can upgrade your 7 day pass to an annual pass for free - that way you want to come down again later in the year.

Buy 4 get 3 free with bounceback of same offer later in the year, offer inlcudes dining, $200 gift card PER PERSON, water parks and more tickets, resort upgrade (free).

Ok here is my DREAM DEAL today.

Grand Floridian is $199/nt
Buy 4 nights get 3 free
3 nights free tickets
3 nights free dining.
$200 gift card

I am not sure if this would be financially better for us or not.

I am asuming every member of your party has to have the tickets to get the package deal. ??

We are a family of 5, 3 Disney adults, 1 child, 1 free 2year old.

My 11yo DS and I already have Annual Passes. Plus, we also have 2 single day single park tickets.

I wonder if these 4 for 7 tickets would still be good for a later time? And, will they be just base or hoppers?

I am going to be so confused by the math with this offer.

It is a great one, esp since we are in the $200 gift card window!! We are going Jan 19-27th

Right now we have WL at 40% off for all of the 8 nights that we have.

I wonder if they would let me use the 40% discount on the 1 extra night above the 4 for 7 offer?

I have been doing some math, and seeing as we already have 2 APs and the 40% off at WL, I can't see where my savings would be with this new offer. Anyone have any input? We are 3 Disney adults and 1 child--(2 of the adults have APs already.)

Any mathematicians out there that could help me figure this out??

Would the discounts be for disneyland too?

We are going to DL instead of WDW this year too. The discounts are never the same though DL frequently has buy however many days get however many free. But the on property resorts there are all deluxe price range. If you are a costco member they have a link to whatever the sale is going on plus you get a free character breakfast and gift card in addition to whatever the sale gives you. So far nothing for DL past December.

Hey, if we're going to Dream, let's dream big.

Disney actually pays me to go on vacation! On top of that, free everything... resort, tickets, and food. Let's not forget the nice check they give me at check out as a thank you for visiting. :goodvibes

This is a LONG thread already, so if this is an "asked and answered" just please cut me some slack...

I've already booked a AAA discount package for March 29-April 4, 2009, family suites, tickets and QSDP. If the HUGE offer is better (I'm sure it will be) do I wait until tomorrow morning to get AAA agent to change it, or try to book something tonight?

Thanks.

My brother, his fiance, her 5yo son, my mom, my dad, and my grandfather are all planning a trip for June (and we weren't expecting to get a discount at all!)...we're kind of collectively pooling our money for the trip to cover the costs, and *probably* getting 3 rooms...so for us, this is a HUGE deal because we're effectively going to end up with 9 nights of free rooms. (We were planning on going for 7 nights anyways).

I'll be much happier if the 3 nights of free dining are also included, but whatever...I'm still excited about this if what people are talking about is true.

I did the math and I am pretty excited!!!

We had planned on going for 14 nights/15days to Pop next March to surprise our girls. They really want to stay there! LOL

Our package with room/tickets/dining was $4019.70. We decided to break up the package and really watch our budget by doing so we saved about $250.

Well now!!!! Our trip is going to cost $3156.54!!! hehehehe It will be less once you factor the park day discount and the gift card. I am beyond excited with the room discount. I just hope everything works out when I call.

My DH works like a dog. He has a super crappy commute to DC everyday and is doing his MBA along with working full time. We as a family really deserve a wonderful vacation and I so hope I am not disappointed when I call this afternoon.

Oh and I totally forgot we are going to celebrate my DD's bday so she gets the bday promo giftcard! I wonder what Princess gown she will pick.:lovestruc

Unless I'm missing something - It's going to cost me 300 dollars to extend my AirTrans airline tickets - so extending my trip by 3 days "free" - using 'fuzzy disney math', and including $125/day food/spending cash (which I hope is PLENTY) - will still cost me an additional $500 + dollars . . . .

I sure hope they include free dining in the 'HUGE' special :P

If this were me, I would book on my own and cancel the AAA ressie first thing tomorrow.

I sent my AAA an email with what sorts of offers I'd want to take, and she'll be on the lookout at five. I figured that if she does it, it saves a step later, she gets her commission, and I still get the AAA benefits.

The deal isn't better for you at all. To get the $200 gift card you would have to spend around $500 for tickets (more if you added hoppers or plus) you don't need with the APs. You are already getting the same room discount. I just don't like paying all that money to pre-buy tickets that I may not want to even use on the next trip because we always seem to get package deals. Having $200 just for souvenirs with specifics on what is/isn't allowed isn't the same to me as getting $200 off at all or unrestricted disney dollars.
