Most hated baby names

I have a friend whose has 2 daughters and their names are on the list and another friend with 2 sons and their names are on the list.

I like almost every name on that list:confused3 Oh well...to each his own!

My DD's name, Hunter, made the boy list--"too violent" lol.

My dog, Jackson, made the boy list too. :) Of course, I did not name him, he's a rescue dog & came with his name but we like it. :)

I hate almost every name on that list. I especially detest invented spellings (e.g., Makayla.) And I think I know kids by all of these names, even Bentley.

I have an Aidan I couldn't imagine him being named anything else...

This article is almost a year old, but it had me thinking.

I agree with the "-dens"...(hayden, caden, aiden, brayden) - While they aren't bad, they are overdone.

Never was a fan of Naeveh, or Destiny, but to each is own. ;)

Destiny. I agree with the article. Sounds like a stripper's name or something.
Bertha is the name of my driver (Golf club) I just found a name for my 3 wood. Gertrude.

None of our children's names are on the list.

One of my most hated names.
Chloe. I also hate Baily for a girl.

I don't mind these names but never name your kid Ella or Bella or anything that rhymes with em. If they end up a little plump they will be pelted to no end with Ellaphant or Bellaphant taunts.

There are a few that I really dislike such as Gertrude, Destiny, Bertha (people really still name their kids this???!), Hunter, Jayden and Bentley.

I can't stand the name Nevaeh...stupid. :confused3

I'm glad this thread came up. DH and I are planning for another baby soon, and he wants to agree on a name before we even start trying. We agreed on a girl's name, but can't for a boy's name. I'm writing up a long list of names. Hunter might be put on the list. I like the name, but not sure if it would be right for my son if I have one.

What do people think of the name Caleb? I understand it's a popular name. I'm not sure what to think about it. I'd go with the name any day over some of the names my DH is thinking about.

Agree with everything *except* Gertrude, Michael ('it's too boring' is the problem with the naming trends in this country and people's stupidity in general - how is Michael boring but Jayden [beyond popular for the past however many years and spawning as many like-ended derivatives as it has] not? Also, some invented mess with a 'y', a 'k', an apostrophe and three syllables plus -den is not 'unique' and not boring it's 'illiterate.' ) and Tristan, just because it's a classic name.

The only names I agree with are Gertrude and Bertha

:rotfl2: I cannot STAND ol' lady names!!

I love my son's "boring" name! ::yes::

My niece is named Hunter.

I love the name Hunter. DS14 had a very good friend with that name--Forrest and Hunter, they seemed to go together. :)

I love the name Hunter! And for a girl even MORE!

I understand, but I do have a soft spot in my heart for the name Bertha. There was an older lady at my church growing up named Bertha. She was the sweetest lady. If I had a second daughter that might be her middle name, but I would have to find a good first name to go with it.
