MOST Comfortable Beds ....Which Resort?

All the beds in Disney deluxe resorts, if they are the new pillow top are the same, Sealy Plush Euro top.

thanks everybody. We have a sleep number at home, and with the health stuff going on, it's hard to travel without a good bed.

Good info about WL beds - we were seriously considering staying there....not anymore ;) Thanks again - I really appriciate it!

If you are used to a sleep number I doubt any bed will sleep like it.

WL beds unless they are in need of replacement are the same as the other deluxes. It truly is going to be personal preference, what makes a bed comfortable for one person will not for another.

If you get a bed at a deluxe resort and it is really is uncomfortable, see if by any chance the housekeeping staff flipped a pillow top and the pillow top is now on the bottom. :sad2: Believe me it happens.

I have some health issues - and an uncomfortable night's sleep will be the undoing of me when we travel :sad2: ....so we're willing to pay to stay where the beds are most comfortable....anyone have a great nights sleep on a very comfortable bed? And by comfortable, I mean a nice thick (soft) pillow top mattress with good support.....Thanks ;)

The Heavenly Beds at the Swan are the most comfortable beds that you will ever sleep in unless you have actually bought one from the Westin Home store for your own home.

We stayed at the Beach Club in December and the Polynesian last month. We vastly preferred the BC beds. They were plush and decadent, just a blissful night's sleep every night!!

We were at WL in 2006 shortly after the reno, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. I think your best bet may be to find the resort that has been recently rehabbed and therefore has new beds. CSR and BW come to mind. The beds probably take a beating with all the different guests and weight distributions, so the trick may be finding a newer bed!:thumbsup2

Just stayed at GF and the beds were very comfy (pillows too). We were there for 7 nights and no one complained.

This past Dec, we stayed at the Contemp, Poly Club and AKV. The most comfortable bed was at the Contemp.. The Poly bed was awful- hard as a rock- even my husband complained and I woke up every morning so stiff and sore ( didnt really feel like I slept.) The AKV bed was not as bad as the Poly but not as good as the Contemp.

The beds at Animal Kingdom Lodge were very very comfortable. I travel a lot for work and stay in a lot of hotel rooms and the beds at AKL were probably the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept on.

:scared1:
Stay away from the Wilderness Lodge!!!!!!!!!! Worse bed I ever slept in!

Oh no! I was going to recommend the WL! We stayed there in February and it was the best sleep I have had in years.:thumbsup2
For backfround - I have back problems and have had back surgery. I take pain meds to get me through the WDW trips. I start the day with meds and then have to have more meds to go to sleep because I hurt so bad. I slept so well that I didn't need to take anything to go to sleep and made it through half the day before I had to take pain meds. It was like a miracle. The beds were really firm, tho and I need that. DD agreed with you - said they were the worst she has ever TRIED to sleep on:lmao: Her bed at home is super soft pillow top, fyi.

I do want to add, tho, that I believe the duvets at the WL are down. MY DD is allergic to feathers, down, cat or dog dander, etc. and she started sneezing, eyes watering and swelling, etc all about an hour after she went to bed. We had to (2)take the duvet off and (2) roll up our blanket for her to use as a pillow because we were afraid the pillows might also be down!

We stayed at Coronado Springs last month, and they've just replaced all the mattresses (all rooms now have two queens or 1 king). The beds were fantastic compared to what we've had at the Value resorts.

Now of course, if I had to choose between a Sheraton Sweet Sleeper or the bed at Coronado, Sheraton would still win out, but it was still really comfortable.

I felt the other way with the beds hehe, I thought the new ones were so uncomfortable, i barely slept each night.

and stay at the dolphin....Seattles Westin beds were very comfortable - so we're crossing fingers ;)

When we stayed at the Contemporary last year I distinctly remember the beds being VERY comfy! Whenever we are on a vacation DH complains all the time about how bad the beds are but at the Contemporary I didn't hear one complaint!

Grand Floridian had comfortable bed, great pillow and the bedsheet were great. We also love the bed at the Swan but the pillow was just ok. We stayed at AKL last year and after the first night my husband called the Swan to see if we can switch b/c of the heavenly beds but The Swan/Dolphin was booked (AKL beds was horrible). This year my husband said we can go to Disney if we stay at the Swan.
