Morning routine in Disney?

depends on where I'm staying and who I'm with.
This trip was off site during Easter with DD12. She showers at night, parks were typically opening an hour early (except Epcot). So, I'd wake up at 5:30, get coffee started, take my shower and then wake up DD. Make her breakfast and then we'd both finish getting dressed and would leave about quarter to 7. We were a 5 to 15 minute drive, depending on the park (5 minutes from AK)

We get up sixish, I toast a bagel and cream cheese it, pour a coffee in a disposable cup and head over to the bench by Atlantic Dance where I have a good cigar and watch the sun come up. Wifey stares off into space on our Board Walk balcony with her coffee, we get to RD at the non-EMH park of our choice.

We have clothes ready the night before, I'll get up about 5:30 take a shower and get ready. Meanwhile second one hits the shower while I go get coffee and find a nice spot to enjoy the morning and people watch, usually near a lake or pool. Normally around 6:15-6:30 everybody else will roam down and fill their mug and maybe a quick snack. We will drop off our mugs at the room about 7:00 and head for the bus stop. Bagless here also so away we go...

I get my clothes ready the night before so I won't be delayed in the morning. If my older son goes with us then hubby and I leave him sleeping and come back and get him around 11am.

On my upcoming solo trip I plan on getting up early to hit the parks.

We are rope drop people as well. The earlier the better. We get showers and pick out clothes the night before so we have minimum "prep" time in the morning. We are not big breakfast people so we usually grab a pop tart or granola bar, fill our mugs and drive to the park. My husband hates the buses so we drive everywhere.

We only go to MK on morning EMH days, then we park hop in the afternoon.

With mom we end up getting up much earlier than i like 5:30am. Then we play cards/games until the sun comes up. Sometimes well go up and down the stairs or for a walk. Our room is very organized so we simply pullout what we want to wear that day. I use a messenger style everything bag that we pack before we head to disney. I will restock it when we come in every afternoon for our down time if we use anything. We're dressed and at the bus stop by 7:30 to arrive at MK just in time for the morning show.
We have breakfast or an early lunch after we leave the park at around 9:45-10:30. Many times we walk over to the wave for breakfast.

No set routines for me anymore. I used to attempt to hit rope drop but usually never made it. I do have my small bag packed the night before so I guess that is a routine. And if I am planning on pin trading I need to make sure I've got enough pins with me to trade.

When the family goes, they sleep until noon or so and meet me in the park when they get up.

I get up first around 6am. I bring all my stuff in the bathroom not to wake anyone. Once I'm done getting ready, I wake up everyone else. We're not big breakfast eaters. So, we usually eat a little something in the room, like poptarts, fresh fruit, cereal, etc. I usually pack our backpack the night before with water & snacks, so that's done. Lastly, would be the dreaded application of sunscreen on our DD. She hates to put on sunscreen. Altogether I guess we're finished and walking out the door at 7:30. Oh, almost forgot as we're walking out of the room it's the last call to be sure everyone has their phones & MBs.

We are rope drop people, so we like to get up around 630am to start our day. Typically, my husband goes and fills our mugs with coffee and sometimes grabs some food if we want it.

I usually have our park bag packed the night before and it's loaded on the stroller. We like to be out the door by 730-800am.
yup

Two trips ago we started the week with backpacks, mid-week we went to small cross body bags and by week-end we carried our card, band-aids and small comb in pockets. I never used the big band-aids, the hand sanitizer (I use the ladies room often and wash) the water bottle (I get free water in cups with ice at booths)
I have short hair and don't need to comb (others might say differently-LOL). My phone is my camera.
What's strange is, they checked my small cross body bag (7 x 7') but they don't need to see anything in my pockets? Even men with big cargo pockets aren't asked to turn them out. Strollers filled with coolers get pushed through unchecked?
Also, last trip I used only my MB for everything but I've read you must have other ID in the parks and it is safer to carry a credit card and cash if the system goes down. My DSis made me a very slim,"invisible" waist pouch for under my shirt. It holds my cell, 3 cards and a little money. And a small band-aid or two.
No waiting.

yep no pack mule here, too!!!

We are early risers on a Disney Vacation. Other vacations, we sleep as late as possible. I usually set a clock for around 6:30. Kids are showered the evening before. I get up and shower and then DH does. We get kids up and dressed. Bags and stroller are packed the night before. Then we head out and the kids eat a poptart or crackers on the bus or in the car. We are ready to go when we reach the park at rope drop! Fun times!

Great thread idea!

We aren't really morning people outside of the World (I don't mind mornings, but DGF despises them), but all bets are off at WDW. Exactly when our morning starts depends on what time the park we're headed to opens, and we usually work backwards to figure out wake-up time the night before. We like to be at the front of the line for RD, so we always aim to be at our chosen park around 45 minutes before it opens. So we like to be at the resort bus stop about 75 minutes before RD, and at at the resort CS restaurant ~100 minutes out. We don't wake up too much earlier than that (between 2 and 2.5 hours before RD) because like others we generally shower, pick out clothes, and repack our small cross-body bags the night before. That way we can still be zombies as we stumble towards breakfast. we use this routine basically every day--the only exception is DTD day, where we might let ourselves "sleep in" until 8 or so (earlier than we get up in regular days...:rolleyes1)

For all those people that wake up early, what time do you go to sleep?

I'm a recovering commando Disney crazy planner. So alarm clocks setting has been outlawed lol

DH and I get up first and get coffees, shower. Then we have a few quiet moments watching news etc before waking kids. They eat breakfast in the room then we head out! My kids are 8 and 10 so my park bag pretty much stays packed save replenishing band aids and Kleenex etc.

Depends on whether we closed a park down or not. Regardless we are typically RD people. Try to be in bed by 10 if not doing Wishes.

About 2 seconds after my head hits the pillow :lmao:

I don't know how useful my feedback is, because we don't travel with kids. BUT even adults suffer from afternoon meltdowns, so...

We almost always RD and close parks, so just like the trike we get up at varies, so too does the time we get to sleep. We're planning on one (maybe 2) 2:00 AM MK nights next month, and at least one is followed by an early morning. I would prefer to head back to our room for a mid-afternoon nap--maybe not how I would structure my sleep outside the World, but it works pretty well while we're visiting the Mouse.

We are RD folks and then we'll take a break in the afternoon. We don't always do the EMH evenings because of DD so we are usually in bed by 10:30 or so.

DH doesn't like getting up early when on vacation so we don't hit rope drop, but try to get there within the first hour of park opening. I get up around 7:30-8:00 and head down for breakfast after getting ready. I like showering the night before so that's one less thing I have to do in the morning and I don't have to really pack anything the night before outside of what's in my purse. DH loved the mickey waffles so we have those almost every morning and we're not usually breakfast people. We are mainly night owls so we stay until the parks are closed.

same routine right here!

the night before i pack my park bag, we plan which park we are visiting and disucss what we want to do, we leave the room around 07:15 grab a snack at the resort for breakfast and then head out, usually MK on a morning for us unless its an early magic hours elsewhere! i dont find i need to hit HS early to do what i want there? epcot the main stuff i do there isnt open until 11:30 so for me and my wife its MK on a morning see the park opening show, grab a starbucks - ride some attractions then head to monorail for epcot or bus to HS!

also another cool thing is, head to Epcot grab the friendship boat to HS thats an amazing nice little boatride, we stop off at different resorts along the way and have a little resort tour and grab a drink at the resorts along the way!
