I was supposed to meet my coworker at his house so we could ride to the meeting together, but he wasn't there. So I called into the office and he's dealing with a crisis. Great. So now I'm just sitting and waiting. And DISing. And checking my e-mail.

I had the WORST dream last night! In my dream I was putting Norah in her car seat and the usual "I DO IT MYSELF" drama occurred, so I said "fine" and slammed the car door. Well, little did I know, she had somehow leapt out of her car seat and I had slammed the door on her foot!!!! The worst part is I was YELLING at her to Be QUIET!!!

I don't think I was feeling guilty about repeatedly putting them (especially HER) to bed lasts night. I mostly kept cool.

I hate bad dreams! Especially of the Mama-Guilt variety.

Hi all,

I probably don't have to tell you that it is hot out.....

Just got back from our field trip to the zoo. It was an adventure. Our school bus over heated on the highway. So we had to stop 20 minutes into our trip to wait a half hour on the bus for a replacement. Think 45 kids and parents on a hot bus , not good.

So we finally get to the zoo it is close to lunch instead of 10:30. The animals are hiding because of the heat and the splash pad is over crowded. I only had to watch Hannah and one other so it wasn't too bad. The hardest part was the washroom breaks.

Over all it was a good trip for the kids but I am now exhausted.

I made it to my breakfast today, DD got me out of bed at 6:30am
Yelling, MOM, GET UP NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Scared me right out of bed.

Actually just got back from a walk. Hannah wanted me to go to the corner store so she could shop for Father's Day... That is were she bought my Mother's day gift. But they didn't have anything for Father's day.I will have to take her to a real store I guess.

Glad you made it to you breakfast. Was it good?

Now I have to get her to go to bed. All that walking all day she shouldn't have any trouble falling asleep.

Hi Nab,

Sorry about the no nap situation. At least Hannah might go to bed early.
Breakfast was good, I had the buffet, but all I got was scrambled eggs, potatoes and bacon and a muffin I didn't eat. Buffets are wasted on me, but I wanted to try it once. Next time I'll get eggs benedicts or an omelette I think.

Then we had a leadership team meeting that was catered by conventions, and I barely ate any of that. Dang waste, 2 free, good meals in one day, back to back! Oh, and then we got a free muffin (BIG, HUGE even) at the meeting too. They are being handed out to all the CM's tomorrow as a thank you for working so many hours during the summer (and choice of water or poweraide). When it rains, it pours, I guess (only the good way today!). Normally I have nothing but very poor choices in the cafeteria.

I would have no problem eating all that food.

Hannah just went to bed and the other one just came in the door. He was out playing with friends.

Thanks for reminding me about the Inventor show. Hope I can stay awake for it.

howdy.......been a long day.....tomorrow the kids last day of school and the rug rats will multiply......well some come and then some arent here and then those that are not here the others come......catch the drift..........
Also trying to keep the house cleaned as GD's party is here for some reason...well their funriture is not here yet.....it was supposed to be here in April and they got rid of their other stuff....so no furniture means .......gramma can you have the party at your house.....hahaha....
tomorrow I go to the doctors for my bp check.....I have been doing it the last week or so to see what it is and it is good....means my meds are working..as I sit here eating chips....but UTZ chips are lower in sodium then others and darn good too......I can have 20 of those and stay within my one choice for a snack...
TALL and bigger girl that comes here after school......left a surprise in the latreen and hubby found it.........second time he said.....so i will have to remind her to flush the toilet......rofl.....she is ten and taller then I am......but she is such a sweet kid.......

for supper we had homemade mac and cheese......i love to make the white sauce and melt the extra sharp cheddar......it is delicious....then a crumb topping that hubby calls bird turds....... he is a good guy even if he is slightly cracked .......

I am posting LIVE from the Big City. It is beautiful but between the trees and the traffic you can't find anything unless you already know where it is.

Also I ran into a string (well 2) of bad direction givers as I had to take care of business. People who use left and right interchangeably.

My little house on the prairie is sold! Hooray! And tomorrow we buy the new house- complete with solarium and room for Prickly Pete.


Poor DH had a rotten day at work and now is driving the South Dakota truck here. Golden child and I get to hang out at the hotel- snacking on french fries and playing cars and watching what I think is Braveheart (did it start when he was a kid? does he see dead people?)

Speaking of uhauls, I did a drive by to the new place and their lawn was littered with furniture and they were loading their uhaul which featured Hawaii.

Ironically enough, it had pictures of fish. I was really expecting something about cowboys or wheat.......

thanks Marita- the hotel has free wireless! I am reduced to reading strangers opinions of what kind of bathing suit a little girl should wear and how to appropriately berate the neighborhood kids. Edumahcational.

I do not however have cable or internet lined up for the new house.

Hi, Babynurse! Thanks for the good wishes. Things improved once my coworker arrived (after I waited 1 1/2 hours). Luckily I was able to entertain myself with the batphone and some work-related reading material.

Then things went downhill when we got back in town. I stopped at a 7-11 to get some bottled water and a snack and a kid at the register dropped a bottle of red Powerade on the floor. It burst open and splashed my sandal. Luckily, I was able to wipe most of it off, but I was so ticked, I left without making my purchase and went to my reflexology appointment. It took me a good half hour to settle down and relax.

Twinkie, I was so glad to see that you had made it to the BIG CITY!!! Better get busy finding someone to provide Internet service for you so we all don't have major snack cake withdrawal! We get ours through our cable provider - it has been pretty reliable.

I forgot to mention earlier, 3 minutes before I got home, the skies opened op and in a bad way! Rain blowing sideways. There was a stop sign twisting from side to side, and all the trees were almost bending to the ground. Felt almost like a hurricane coming on. So I pull into the driveway in this mess. Attempt to get my umbrella to open (the wind coming from the drivers side). It almost went straigh into the inverse position. So I get half soaked from opening the door, but get the umbrella back in. I abandon my car coffee and water cups and decide to make a sprint for the front door, maybe 10 feet.
I was soaked to the bone! Dripping hair, soaked pants and blouse, you name it, you would think I had stood under a shower!!!!!!!!

30 minutes later it was gone!

Just happy I wasn't on the major roads then, I would have been gridlock!

Twinkie: Braveheart is a great movie, IMHO. I do not usually cry at movies, but the first time I saw it and he yelled "FREEDOM", gave me goose bumps (and a couple of tears) Hope the move goes easy breezy.

Nab: Two of ds's championship ballgames are tomorrow and then we are done! I'll kinda miss it though. The schedule is crazy, but I love baseball.

And in baby news... it is in fact a boy. Baby Zachary is here and he's cute as a button. Now dh and his brother both have 3 boys and 1 girl each. His other (baby) brother is not yet married. I told him the precedent has been set. He wasn't too keen on the idea.

Did I ever mention that my middle name is Elisabeth (with an S), my mom's first name is, as is my grandmother's, my SIL's middle name, my SiL's mothers middle name. my MIL's name, my other SIL's middle name and of course my DD's middle name.
