poly - It's good you are able to help your daughter, but that sucks!

We went to see PoC last night too. We got the matinee price, but Tammy wanted popcorn and ended up buying two large diet cokes plus some goobers -
20 steenkin bucks!
But I really liked the movie. I felt like it went fast and I didn't feel time dragging on.

nab - ok - as long as it's to help me lose weight, I'll hop in the fridge.

Hi Kimmie!

marita - I don't think I liked the lobster soup at coral reef. Everything else was pretty good though. Tammy had the steak cuz she doesn't eat fish much. I think that's what she had. I dunno. This was back in September, so it's hard to remember sometimes.

twinks - I'm pretty sure I heard Poly say she was staying at the red roof inn. ;)

wt - you are soooo WEIRD!

Hi to everyone else!

I watched 2 episodes of Deadliest Catch last night before I went to bed. It reminds me of watching golf a little. Somehow I like to watch both. Particularly at nap time.

Golf = Hit the ball. Find the ball. Hit it again. Put it in the hole. Repeat 17 times.

Deadliest Catch = Drop the pots in the water. Pull the pots out of the water. Put the crabs in the hole. Repeat 30 times.

Does that mean you have been hiding out at work lately. That's no fun.

Son's baseball season has started. It has me running this year. Hubby said I am becoming on of those Mom's because I yelled and told my son to get the bat off his shoulder. :lmao: They have to pitch this year, last year we had a pitching machine. Therefore there is a lot of walkers so far. Nicholas did hit a home run though that one my hubby let me cheer.

Do you have your kids in summer sports?

Congrats on homerun. Tell your hubby to put a sock in it. As long as you are ONLY yelling at your own kid you can give any words of constructive criticism that you want. Yes. My kids are doing volleyball, swimming, jr. golf, basketball and football. For the first time my eight year old is playing tackle football. I have been figuring that he would be good since he is generally good at all sports. However, we received an email from the coach warning us of that thinking since even good athletes sometimes are not good at football because a kid either has the instinct to like hitting and being hit or he doesn't. This gave me pause. I'm not sure that he does. So, I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Wheat Thins

That is a lot of sports to get to. Your wife must help you get them to all the games.

I complain now and I only have to get them to swimming and baseball. They almost over lap right now.

I must get to my gardens.

Hope you get out in the sunshine today WT. I picture you sitting behind a desk somewhere with no windows.

I agree Nab - just don't start yelling at the other kids. Like in parenthood when opie's brother yells at Steve Martin and his kid.
I love that movie.
I can watch it over and over again. And clueless. It was on this weekend. It's so funny!

wt - calling you weird is like a stalker's mating call. Come mere little cracker! :goodvibes

Poohgirl was here 30 minutes early again today! I answered the door in my pj's rubbing my eyes. HELLO? MamaPooh says she's been horrible all morning and was up at 5:00 so they thought they'd walk over and hang out with me. Thanks!

Uh. OK, give me a few minutes to dress and brush my teeth. My alarm doesn't even go off till 7, I gently and sweetly reminded her. Yup.

Did I miss anything good last night? I wanted to watch Boston Legal instead of chatting. It required a zombie-like staring at the tv. Instead of interacting and paying attention.

Weird is subjective. I hate being called weird (often). I prefer "quirky". Eccentric?

Jordan has Senior-Itis. Bless his heart. I remember just wanting to get High School over with. Sheeez, he graduates on June 1st.

My ex-DH and the WHOOOOOOOLE family from Washington is coming for what I hope doesn't get all Jerry Springerish. Actually, the new wife is my FRIEND and often asks me if I want him back (if he's ticking her off)....I say, "No take-backs!" I am NOT good wife material by any stretch of the imagination.

Now there is valid marriage advice.

Actually WT- having your athletic kid not be good at football isn't a bad thing... plenty of other sports that might not result in two broken legs before they are 18... but watching my oldest and his friends play football I have seen that as the coach said- some athletic kids just don't "get" the killer instinct or don't like how it feels but alot who are hesitant really warm up and play just fine after a while... there now I am giving sports advice, that is funny too

I actually thought about you last night as He Who Controls the Remote decided to spend the evening flipping between deadliest catch and Dog the bounty hunter..... the shows had a lot in common

Uma- I don't like being called weird either. Just somethin' about that word that bothers me.

Hey Nab- why not come to Delaware- we'll have lunch on our deck while we WATCH my husband do the gardening? I have a Mickey cookbook- we'll do a fab lunch and pretend we're Marita!

ID theft - just off the phone with the attorney- she is getting credit reports from all three agencies. A few months ago,2 of them had no idea who my daughter is,can't wait to see what shows up! I do know a collection agency had her visiting the ER here in Delaware on December 20th- while we were in Florida!

hi Celery, Twinkie,MommyP( get to the trivia game girl),Moo, BabyN, Marita and Tammy and anyone I may have missed

Hi WT- I'm poly- I may need a criminal defense lawyer if this id theft garbage isn't cleared up soon:eek:

I think I'm gonna go play trivia too. I can't seem to get started this morning. I've been working, but only when people bug me in person, on the phone or in email - no projects of my own started.
Except trying to plan more vacations.
I loooooove owning wyndham stuff. They are so nice! I've decided to try and take my whole family to a mini vacation over thanksgiving or Christmas, but I'm having a hard time finding availability within driving distance. and their website is always too busy!
anyway.
ok. off to play trivia. WT must be working and doesn't have time for me to flirt with him.

Celery, are you on the computer at work?

GOOD girl! ;)

I am now properly caffeinated and kids were fed a great breakfast of scrambled eggs with Paula Dean's House Seasoning (1 C. Salt, 1/4 C. Pepper, 1/4 C. garlic powder....mix well and put into a salt shaker.)

My kids have reading day today. They get to bring a pillow and blanket and wear slippers and have snacks etc. Shoot, I want a reading day!

Hi Uma!! :flower3: It wasn't me, but I bet I know who it was!!

Hi Celery!

Hi Marita! Lobster soup, all the way.

NABby! Yes it's ok to give your own child constructive advice. LOUDLY. ;) Notsomuch other people's kids. I am soooo happy my kids don't have any interest in baseball.

Poly -- From what I've seen, it sounds like this credit mess is quite the, well, mess. Good luck getting it sorted out. Sounds like you're on the right track.

Twinkie! Happy 2nd trimester to you! Even if it doesn't mean :dance3: :yay: or :cool1: there is still a big :thumbsup2 for feeling a bit more energetic.

:upsidedow This one is nice.

Everybody have a great day!

Lil G. Is spring turkey season over?

Stalker. Well, I do have to get to work, now. You make that flirting thing sound so attractive.

Hi Poly. I'm Wheat Thins. I'm from South Dakota.

Twink. Come to think of it, Dog is alot like Deadliest Catch and Golf. The only difference would be that Tiger does not lecture the ball before he puts it in the hole and the crew does not befriend the crab before shoving it in the tank.

WHERE is BabyNurse? She usually has something earth shattering to contribute.

Let me guess. Chris.

Wheat Thins

Was it sheri? She who must not be named? :rotfl: I just saw an old post of hers on Mel's TR and got nostalgic.

Yes, I'm being bad and posting while at work - while I'm on the phone making vacation plans! I'm going to the hot place!

I have a conference call in 30 minutes. I'm trying to get caffeined up so I can argue with Medicare.
Woo!
Our "education" rep doesn't speak properly. We all roll our eyes when she says the wrong thing.
It's kinda fun.
One of my work buddies just called. She helped me remember the phrase that sets us off:

"It don't do that. "

Woo hoo! ain't we so lucky to have smarter people werkin for our guberment?

I KNOW! I miss her soooo bad! Well, I do get to talk to her sometimes but I miss the daily stuff like flags and such. She is my diet mentor. I want to be just like her when I grow up.

The Others are lucky to have her daily.

HEY! Hi Kimmie! Don't be a stranger! We don't mind drive by's as long as you come back to read our "Hi's" of course. :upsidedow is my favorite!!!! Have you seen HorseGirl? She was a regular drive-by-er and now she's seemed to be poofed! Is she ok? NO ONE seems to know. Is she  ? Tell Grammy to come post too. We miss you guys!!!

Hi Moooovers and Shakers!

UtahM: That really was thoughtful of MamaPooh to come and hang out with you before your alarm went off. I wish my IRL friends were so kind.

Celery:
We saw POTC 3 in Knoxville. (that was the day I was waving at ya, remember?) We actually met a disser and his family for lunch and then went to the movie on Sunday. Does anybody know GoofyDad869 or his wife KAMommy? They were so nice. If you had told me a few years ago, I would be talking to people and meeting them on the internet I would have said you are crazy! But now, I consider some of my dis pals great friends.:goodvibes

Twinkie: I loved the second trimester! Not too big, not too small. The baby starts moving. The cute belly makes it's debut. And more energy. What a fun part of the pregnancy.

Poly
: That ID theft is CRAZY. Sorry about all that mess.

WT: sounds like you enjoy some riveting t.v. You make it sound absolutely fascinating.Hit the ball. Find the ball. Hit it again. Put it in the hole. Repeat 17 times.

Nab: enjoy your day in the garden.

Kids are out of school and we are meeting dh for lunch. Don't know where yet. Any suggestions?

Speaking of kids sports. We had 3 baseball games last night. They all started at 6!! I made my way around 3 fields all night. Ds-12 hit a triple. His first one of the year. Ds-8 got to be catcher. They're always rotating the little boys around to see which position they'll do good in. He actually did quite well. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that his Johnny Bench like qualities will come shining through. Maybe the first thing he'll do with his big pro contract is buy his momma a ranch out west.:thumbsup2

Sports.
Jazz Suck. They get our hopes up every year. Then they get all cocky and blow it. Playoffs elude us yet again.

Is Underground Vacuum Racing a sport?

Is Toddler Wrangling a sport?

Is Hiding Vegetables in Pizza a sport?

I am GOOD at sports then.

I stink at trivia. I just cannot read the questions fast enough.

:lmao: , and here i was going to be grumpy today.

ok..i'll come out & play.....are you a maxine or martha? well,
all i know is ...maxine  sex...i'll go with her, for personal reasons
that can't yet be reveal...[wows, i sounded like the marty guy from
wdw, on the travel shows?]

you lil'darling, minnie moo { of course, that's old news..but you're
not foolin me..hanging around the "fortune teller", lightin up
bulbs...*i bet you timed it when the desireable guys walked
by?

...turkey season flew the coop! and so where's the turkeys? after
the first day...they're in the front yard struttin...now i know why
they're called stupid! :rolleyes1 [ we only got one, and some stupid
racconer..came and took the feathers- my wife saw him...yep, she
even didn't went after him....stup...( i better pause here)

well school outs-forever!....according to my lil'princess: = me> :sad1:
and her>:yay: . don't you hate..ambilance?

golf & crab fishing..there's 2 sports that go together....remember , wt?
when i lived in cocoa beach...i helped a buddy with deep sea fishing..
i was a deckhand..all righty...laying all over it , the first trip out!

* making kids play sports....we didn't & have no regrets..my oldest
would hve made a great lineman...you can't move him. period. so
one would have had to go around...i expressed my lost of interests
from last seasons...its pitful...but there are too many adults ruining
it all level...at the end, its only math being playing on a field, and
the objectives were supposed to be directed at social skills and
self realization...now its all garabage, due to $$$. golf, while its long
been the most riches of sports...is about the only fair competition left.

...as i mentioned before, wt, i put together a local derby race for
kids..7years later..its a diaster...iam  of the stupid adults...in
it for themselves..not the kids....see? akron is no better...in 2001,
a young man who was a previous champion..helping us...told me, if
he was in charge..he cleaned house...now i know what he means...
there's isn't anything for the kids anymore.../last year, i saw alot
disturbing behaviors....so it got me thinking...needless to say,
they all have records....you think akron, would support their removal?
heck no..so i am trying to stop them...this is sad, but i won't tolerate
any association to a program that has criminals in it. nor will we exposed
our kids...to such behaviors. * if you ever pay attention to the derby,
you will "see" how the adults are over shadowing the kids fun. you
think..adults would be more intersted in adulthood? sad.

for the most part..that's the magic of disney..however, one can 'see"
aggressive/hostile adults...going after the kiddies fun? we were at
crush for the first time..some lady "squeezed" her lil'girl on top of
jordan....[well because it was her placing her kid, we didn't say anything,

:rolleyes1 ..good thing they made a "no adult" rule?] . the show was
interacting, but the child was too young to understand..and to scare.
jordan?..she talked crush's ear off....* it was earlier in line, my lil'miss
saw a large group of adults raising the barrier rope to crowd in front
of some seniors...and later, one i think tried to run over my wife,
however, we bumped...his sorry butt to the ground. * we hit very hard...
which he was intending for my my wife, as i turned to cnfront him
he ran off..an old man who should have better sense. ,sad.

* however, my theory over lifetimes...more deaths are the result of
acting stupid..then any other causes.

did you all see where those teens~ were spiting, sorry that is assaultive
behaviors...and i am happy to see they took corrective measures.yug!
wdw is for families & having fun...i hate it when iam forced to work.

speaking of spit....did you see how far minnie m. raised the bar?
"hot"! :dance3:
