The pic with Mickey reminded me of something I just learned recently (like 3 weeks ago, and I have been working for the Mouse for 35 years!).

Mickey can NEVER be photographed with anyone holding a glass of alcohol!
Did anyone know that? They will NOT let you take a picture!

I've got a question for you Marita -
I always heard that Disney won't let people with more than their ears pierced or visible tattoos or lots of facial hair work for them where they can be seen. Is this still true? And does it apply to people that work behind the scenes?

Thanks Cel and Marita! We stopped at several hotels without any vacancies - part of the problem was their two-night minimum on the weekend. So we are staying back at the hotel near our daughter's where we normally stay. One side benefit will be more time with the puppy maybe!

We get home Monday night. We're thinking of leaving Sunday afternoon and breaking the drive up again. 5 and 8 was way easier to do than 13 hours all in one day.

Yes, Celery, applies to everyone. Unless you work in the Movie ot Imagineering side, where they have lots of "artists", which is the way the tend to look.

Like Joe Rhoads, who designed AK, he has earrings and a beard and long hair. But generally, what you said goes.

They only allowed mustaches (on men!) a few years ago. SO a lot of them went for it for while, including hubby. Big mistake! Most men look better without one. Don't see many anymore, even though it's allowed. But no beards!

The reason that Cel asked that question, Marita, is this lady at my work has SEVERAL tattoes on her arms and a nose piercing. Her draem job is to work in the pastry department at Disney baking cakes, pies and what nots. And then Cel told me all that today. I don't want to bust her bubble...SO...I'll pretend to be all shocked if she ever tells me about it.

Melinda, I have a Pocket PC "batphone" that has Internet capability. It is a VERY handy gizmo to have!!! PDA, phone and Internet all in one. I originally got it because I can't access the Internet for personal use at work

I want a batphone too! Never mind....I'd prolly lose it! How long does it take you to type in a long post on that tiny keyboard? Sorry about your hotel! Glad you're making lemonade out of the lemons!

Someone asked what I was reading before. My Mom gave me a box of books that are from Reader Digest. They are four condensed stories in one book. They are actually pretty good. I am reading The Ice Child by Elizbeth McGregor right now. But there a popluar authors. Mary Clark Higgins, James Patterson etc.

Hannah has a tye-dye birthday party to go to and hubby is taking Nicholas an d a friend to see Transformers.

Morning all!
I watch Spike tv sometimes to see CSI and Star Trek and last night I just left it on. I ended up watching a Kung Fu movie called Shaolin Soccer. It was inssane! It has the main guy singing and dancing with kung fu moves. He even gets a whole street full of people to dance to "Celebration."
Are all Kung Fu movies funny? I missed what happened with the girl. Last I saw, he told her he didn't love her so she cried all the time and she got fired because her tears ruined her sweet buns.
Awww!

Anyway. Now it's Jackie Chan. I Jackie Chan!

I have bug bites all over. This sucks.

It's also kinda cloudy outside, so I don't know if I'll make it to the pool today.

Well I think we are in for a storm. The clouds are ugly looking out there and really windy.

Just got back from our birthday party. They did indeed made a tie-dye t-shirt. Now I don't know what to do with it. They send it home in a plastic bag because it is still wet. Do I have to wash it a few times by itself?

Celery these are new ones. She gets them in the mail all the time. Don't really know what condensed means. Is there a book out there that has more to the story?

I would wash it a few times with dark colors like jeans......rofl........Howdy to you ......it is getting dark here too.....are you sure you dont live in Maine with me......nope I know......
Hubby is out trying to level the grounds out........GD is here and asked for assistance to find out what is wrong with her car........she has a 4 o clock appointment for a look under the buttom and see if it is a muffler and tail pipe ruined.......she needs to have the car in tip top shape when she goes to College.
We looked at some places on line for camps up in the boonies......good lordy I hate bugs .....but what if a bear wants to visit us too.....OY OY OY....dont mind the critters as long as its the season to shoot on site if they come after me.....hahaha

Nab - Let it sit for 24 hours then rinse it until the water runs clear.
Wash it twice by itself, then wash it with dark colors.
I can't believe they didn't send instructions home!

Yeah, I think they cut part of the story out in the condesed ones.
