Thanks Celery and Pumba for that info. Do you tie-dye often? Are you a flower children.:rotfl:

Maybe I will have to get one of the books and see what I am missing then.

Pumba-- We got a few sprinkles and now it is really hot out. The breeze is gone.

I've been tie dying off and on since I was like 10. I even had my own business when I was 14 or so - I sold them at a local craft fair.
I love it!
The last time I did it was in 99 or so. I taught a group at a church youth camp.

Morning All,

It is thunder hear but no rain.

Poly-- You were singing the coke commercial in your edit..:lmao:

We watched Hannibal Rising last night. At least hubby did. I just watched a bit at the beginning. I got confused when he was in orphanage and the pictures etc. So went to be and read.

Not much planned for the day. Off to church in a few minutes.

I hope Twinkie, UMA, Mommy P, Marita and Moo make an appearance today.
We miss you guys.

Like Marita said dang summer activities.:rotfl:

So, you all saw the commercials for E-Harmony.com? Testing on gazillion levels of compatibilty? Guaranteed (almost) to find the partner of your dreams? And live happily ever after.

One day, since I had nothing better to (don't tell me I could have cleaned the shower, geez) I decided to try the free survey.

Guess what? THey said, sorry, NO SOUP FOR YOU, nobody matches you in compatibilty!

I should have said I like long walks on the beach in the moonlight, sigh!

My going to bed early plan is not looking so good, but I am still in the ballpark.........

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Marita!!!! This is the funniest post ever! I have often been tempted to do the same thing. Semifunny story- so DH used to eat at this Chinese place that had all the Years and the compatibilites on the placemats. Sho nuff we were Very Incompatible. But too late for us. We decided to just make the best of our ill fated marriage. ;) Come to find out that since he has a Jan birthday it fell before the Chinese New Year the year he was born meaning he was really born the previous year Chinese Calendar-wise. With the correct date we find that we are Very Compatible Indeed. Whew! So glad I decided NOT to end my marriage based on a paper placemat:rotfl2:

TWINKIE....So glad you got some family time. I need the cliff's notes on your family dynamics. How old is the Golden Child? Twins? Are there others?

Send me your real address and I will fed ex you our family tree. It is goog reading since I am Italian-FrenchCanadian and DH is pure Old Southern Family. Complete with an ancestor on trial for witchcraft in NC.

However- our in house family consists of me and DH, DS-13, twin DDs who are 5 and Goldenchild- a boy child aged 2. And Grasshopper is due Dec 1.

Morning All,

It is thunder hear but no rain.

Poly-- You were singing the coke commercial in your edit..:lmao:

no, Nab, it was John Lennon . Coke flower children commercial was "I'd like to teach the world to sing" and it showed people all over the world singing.

Morning all! I had to pay bills this morning because I didn't do it when I was at work on Friday since I was dising too much. When do I work? Who knows?
:lmao:

I've been working on decorations for the itineraries and autograph books. I'm such a dork. I might try to go to hobby lobby today and be good this time and only get the two things I need. We'll see.

Well, it's off to church and maybe a movie afterwards. We still have two free passes and tammy and I want to see rattatouille. or however you spell it. Talk to y'all later!

(Thanks for dropping by twinks and pumba!)

Oh yeah. I wasn't born when Woodstock happened.
Ha!
but I still like tie dye.
And you're only as old as you feel.
So I'm about 50 today. Just kidding. More like 45.

GOOD MORNING!

Back from Sunday School. Our lesson was on David/Goliath....I love that story! What a lot of faith that little boy had! Reread it if you have a chance.

I guess we'll go to the pool again today. Nothing like sitting on a lounger reading People magazine in the summer time.

OH! And we bought our tickets yesterday for the Wednesday matinee of Order of the Phoenix. Also watched Chamber of Secrets on ABC Family last night and we're all set for Prison of Azkaban tonight...my personal favorite. I love that time turner thing.

TWINKIE
....Thanks for the 411 on the family. Is this your second marriage? I always feel like people probably think it's my second marriage since my kids are 17, 13, and 6.

POLY..... :hippie: heh, heh. How old are you poly?

CELERYTIEDYELADY.... Today I feel 35!

NAB...Thanks for being the sunscreen police.

EVERYBODY ELSE
..... :wave2:

OK....I just cleaned out my car where it became glaringly apparent that my son's least favorite color of Skittles is purple.

I was afraid to look under the seats...it's very scary under there! :scared1:

Good news....I now have enough change to run it through the car wash! :yay:

Poly that is why your are so good at trivia and I am not....:lmao:

Went strawberry picking this afternoon. My hands are red and Hannah's white dress is too. Hope that comes out.

Hubby wanted rhubarb so I can make a pie. He just wants rhubarb not a combination.

I wish it would just rain and get it over with. It is cloudy, spits a little and then nothing.

Celery -- don't go over your budget at the store....save some money to spend there too. Because I am sure the kids will want everything there...:lmao:

Boo hooooo, we're on our way home . . .

We keft our DD's a little after 1:00. She had a few of her friends over for brunch. It was nice to get to meet them so I can put faces to names!

We stopped by "Mayberry" again so I could pick up a couple souvenir things for friends at home. Then we took a back road through the mountains in Virginia for a little ways before getting back on the freeway. Gotta go - tunnel!!!

Hey there, Moo...

Is that one of the tunnels on I-40 north of Asheville?

Will you be coming through Lexington today?
