Condolences on the lack of internetosity. That is rotten. Trouble even. Capital T and all that jazz.

So Underdog, I thought GW was George Washington. Was he a Whig? I used to know aeons ago....but alas my American history knowledge is now limited to useless items like the type of brickwork popular in 1600s (Flemish bond), campaign slogans for various dead presidents (Tippecanoe and Tyler too!!!!!!) and the translations of state mottos (Ad astra per aspera.... To the stars, through difficulities).

ETA:Anyone feeling chatabulous?

Ummm Oh, Ummm YES thats right! Thanks!!!!! And he did have a whig,:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I knew I could count on Moo, but I must say, this is abobe and beyond expectations!!!!!!!!!

10,000 Bonus points for Moo!

Goog night everyone, my alarm s et for 8:30, which I will undoubtedly hit numerous times before actually getting up.

EEk, I jut posted a long reply, where did it go? Anywho, Moo you went above and beyond, and I need to calll it a night!

morning kids.

I'm up with a sick daughter.

Moo- I love the dog umbrellas ! I don't know how you find these things, but keep it up!
oops, gotta go
later

GOOD MORNING!

It's actually rainy and gloomy here today with 96% humidity! (read: ponytail for Melinda today) BUT IT'S FRIDAY! :thumbsup2

KAY
....So glad you got good news on the mammogram.
What? Don't you LIKE my dramatic and mysterious disappearance?
NO! I'm just glad everybody is safe and there is no emergency or crisis situation out there in Utah. RE: Weight loss....CONGRATULATIONS!!! Five pounds in one week?? Hoodia? Alli? Shaved your head? Amputation? VERY IMPRESSIVE! Way to go! :woohoo: I'll post it for ya over yonder so the gushing can commence there as well!
We got the lowest family plan cingular offered at the time and we never use the minutes.
I've thought about this but I'm afraid my girls would be SO over the minutes that we'd have to claim bankruptcy! DD17 is now on her boyfriend's family plan so they can talk/text for free...since that's who she's talking to mostly. DD13 and I have pay as you go.
Chad had me mow the side and backyard tonight.
I have always cut the grass here too. My understanding with DH is that I cut the front and he cuts the back. When I start to lose the dog in the back yard, I cave and cut it too. Hope you got your foot rub. How old are you, Mommy P? Just wondering.
I did not mention they were imaginary people, LOL!
Marita...I went out with some girlfriends last night and I mentioned my internet friends. There was some awkward laughter and questions. How do you explain the DIS to people? Or do you just avoid the subject?
(I'm going back to school. sorry if you have to read this multiple times)
Celery...I had not thought of all those texting scenerios. I need to get the girls to teach me how to text. I attempted to text DD in Europe but just couldn't figure out how. Pathetic, I know. RE: School....going back full time? Part time? For another degree?
If they can't find a car, she will ride down with us on the 4th and he'll help her look for a car down there.
I found my car on Ebay. No lie! If you have something specific you're looking for, give it a shot. Especially if you are willing to drive and get it! Prices can be very good and most sellers are actually dealerships. AND I love the dog umbrella pictures! Who knew???
I'm up with a sick daughter.
OH NO?!!! Vomiting virus? I'm so sorry!

EVERYBODY ELSE
.... :wave2:

HAVE A WONDERFUL FRIDAY!

Marita - Too funny about your co-worker. So why didn't you tell her you were meeting imaginary friends? ;)

Nab - I like the grass up north. It's cool.

Twinkie - Swimming lessons, that sounds fun. My poor person version are swimming wings and bribes. It's worked for 2 children so far. Ethan is almost there. lol When do you go home? AND Are you feeling that baby yet? I keep asking you!!!

Moo - Great pictures. I figured they probably had something to keep your pooch dry on walks. They have everything for dogs.

Luthor - I am....are you ready? Everyone is always shocked to learn that I have 4 children(with a fifth on the way) and I am only 26. I almost stayed 25, but thankfully I remembered that I was turning older.

I can't believe none of you guys caught that when I told you I was turning 25, when you already knew I was 25. You should have had me commited.

I have a kitchen and bathrooms to clean today. And laundry, of course. Tonight we need to go shopping for Jeremiah's birthday. Of course Chad is going to have to work ALL day because his boss is a poor planner. They put him in a duplex today and said, "Can you finish it tomorrow?" Um, no. Tomorrow is SATURDAY and we have plans. Plus they want him to drop off the work truck tonight and pick it up when it's ready tomorrow. WTH? So now he is going to have to work on Monday to finish that house. He was supposed to have Monday off for the 4th holiday and work on the 4th. Now they will probably try and not pay him for the vacation day and only pay him for the house. I'll be pretty pissy if they try that. They wouldn't even be pulling this crap if my Dad weren't out of town this weekend They always punish Chad for someone else being off work.

It's a cloudy day today. Supposed to be 60% chance of rain, but I haven't seen any yet.

morning everyone.......Thanks so much for making me laugh this morning with the umbrella for my poor baby.......she is, I am sure, not the only dog that hates to go out in the rain......and refuses to use the facilities if it is raining on her head....she sort of looks up at the sky and says ......"Am I nuts"?
I have to get my stuff together and pack for the weekend ....hope I dont forget anything......I mean this is not like a trip to Disney......
I do have to change Jethros fish tank.......if you remember correctly.....hahaha....Homer passed away instead of this one......beats me why but it happened.......Homer got flushed into the big deep recesses of the city sewer system......
I went out this morning with the dog and it is COLD......my body will go into spazz fit cause it is sure a different temp them the last three days.....high 90s and now freezing......well just cold will do....
have a goog morning everyone

Just a child yourself MP! I was 26 when I had my first baby and she'll turn 18 in November.

You must be a very organized mama is all I can say. Are they all boys? I had my son when I was 37 and had to learn the mothering process all over again. He's SO different than the girls.

Have you seen that TV show...can't remember exactly...but it's something like...Josh & Kate plus 8! It's about a couple in their late 20's who have a set of twins and then had sextuplets! :scared1: I think it's on TLC.

You're a better woman than me. I'm hard pressed to hold an umbrella over my child...much less my dog!

Yes they are all boys. My DH is broke I say. He just doesn't know how to produce a girl. We don't know what #5 is, but I'm sure it's a boy too.

I am very organized and I am a little crazy. I also homeschool. :3dglasses

I have seen that show. Those are the cutest kids I've ever seen! :goodvibes

I don't explain it, usually. I just say I read the Disboards. Lot's of people here do, because of the work connection. I don't think they mean the CB and imaginary friends, LOL. I did mention it once, when I went to last year's meet with the Vikings in Norway (those people at work are mostly gone now). But usually it's just easier not to say anything.

I woke up at 8am today without the aid of an alarm clock! Why can't I do that when I have to go to work????

Pumba, I have fun! Moo, enjoy your visit! MommyP, take it easy!

Poly - I hope your daughter is doing better and that you got some sleep.

Lex - I only have an associates degree right now. I decided I was bored and want to work on my bachelors (finally!). I think I'll take 12 hours the first semester, so it'll technically be full time, but hopefully not too overwhelming.
I'm probably stupid.
We're wanting to start fostering, I'm wanting to take coding classes and I'm going to add 12 hours of course work? Eek!

mommyp - 25, 26, you're still a baby to us! ;) (This is funny cuz I'm only 31 and act younger than Mommyp.)

pumba - little amber (our ****zu) is too good to go when it's raining too. Or if the grass is wet. Her paws are too dainty!

marita - It's ok if you're ashamed of us. :sad1:

Hey, Celery, I am NOT ashamed of my DISfriends. I even showed off the meeting pic last year. But these are new people at work, and it just didn't seem necessary to explain internet friends at this time.

And, yes, you are crazy to take 12 credits plus work, Cel. Cut it down. I took all my classes at night while working full time, I speak from experience. Don't take more than 2 classes, otherwise you will be overwhelmed and have no life and be misable and/or fail and make yourself and Tammy miserable, and miss your imaginary friends. You have to keep some balance. and working and going to school full time is too much.

Ok, im steppin off my soap box now.
Have a great day!

Morning all,

So nice to sleep in. I got up at 9:30 instead of 7:00 am.

I haven't had a change to read back this morning because Nicholas was on playing games. And now I have to run errands before the big honker trailer comes home this afternoon.

It is sunny , breezy, and not to hot. My kind of weather.

Catch you later I hope.....

Celery - You said a bad word. ;) I agree with Marita. You shouldn't try and overdo it. Especially with fostering. Kids take a lot of time and mostly ENERGY. You are going to burn yourself out. That will take a toll on you(your health) and your relationship with Tammy.

I got my bathrooms cleaned. Folded my whites. I keep cracking the whip to make the boys keep the blankets, papers, books and toys off the floor. ;) I haven't gotten around to wiping down the kitchen, but it's not that big of a deal. I'll just get to it next time I'm in there cooking.

I cannot WAIT to put Kaleb down for his nap. He woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.

I made a HUGE salad for lunch today. It's sooo goog.

Ok caught up again....

Poly -- hope your dd is feeling better.

Celery-- when do you start fostering kids? Or do you have to do workshops first. Sounds to me you are trying to do to much at once.

Mommy P -- I still have my fingers crossed for that little girl.

Marita-- are you taking your hubby to the doctor today? Hope your enjoying your day off.

Moo-- The stuff you can google.:rotfl: How exciting that your dd is coming home. That must have been a great surprise.

I have the washer going , just went to the meat shop for steaks. Hubby wanted them for supper tomorrow for his parents. Went to the milk store, hope the jugs fit in the trailer because I can't remember. Why is a half gallon jug almost as much as a full gallon jug.

Have to find the linen for the trailer yet and pack our clothes.

I thought we were going tomorrow but it seems we are going tonight.:scared1:

Hey MommyP, salad is goog (for rabbits)
Kidding, Im just not a big salad fan, unless it is coated with Ranch dressing (like havin a little salad with my dressing)

The boss just sent me a task about comparing proposed pool hours to last year and current budget. I promptly forwarded it to my new assistant, hee hee hee. Remember how reluctant I was on hirin her? Probably not. Anyway, she is very strong, and already is bossing me around, but I can send her stuff and she takes care of it, which is great!

I think I will go to Publix in a bit and get some fried chicken for lunch. I am bein very lazy today.... :hippie:

Hey Nab,
no, not taking hubby, FIL was already scheduled to take him. and this is my day off. FIL is retired, I have NO idea what he does all day, he enjoys the company. I am stupid to keep work email running....

I think I will head out to Publix and get some fried chicken. I may have said that in last post, but work intervened, and I forgot if I did or just thought about it, arggggggggggHHHHHHHHHH

Later!

Marita - I think you may be losing it. ;)

That's the second time in 24 hours that you have repeated yourself. lol

Nab - How have I missed that you are going somewhere? Where are you going? When will you be back?

I have eggs boiling for sandwiches tomorrow.

We are taking the trailer to hubby's parents in the country. We have to de winterize it. They have stuff in the pipes so they don't freeze and we have to flush it out. Can't do it at home because the honking thing doesn't fit in the driveway. We can put on the road in front of the house to load it.

Hubby wants to wash it too. So we are spending two nights there. They have an acre lot with lots of trees, they said park under a tree and your camping....:rotfl2:

Then we will be in a provincial park on Sunday night until Monday afternoon. This is our long weekend here for Canada Day.

Since we are at the in laws I will probably be making all the meals for us and them. To give my FIL a break. My MIL as MS is and confined to a wheelchair or walker. Therefore he does everything.

The kids will be happy they get to play with Grandpa all weekend. Hubby will work on the trailer and I will read a book.
