..professional speaking...i think you all be surprised, how many
people "visiting us"....have emotional problems...from lacking a basic
understanding..of their own value system...can you imagined living
life..not being able to tell the difference between positive & negative
feelings?

wow..add the desire to repeat the same ineffective behaviors...but
expecting a different..outcome....and you will "see" alot of hollywood
stars..in the making.

oh, the danny b. incident?...actually, he was the victim...no person
has the right to "touch" another without permission...besides being
intrusive /taking liberties..where there were none....,it was an assault
..even jesturing...did you also see? the late night inteviewer..he was
intrusive/and making it personal..sorta tells alot about his inappropriate
intentions... . however, isn't he hyper critical..making "fun"
of ms. spears..and other stars....? with rela problems..so he can have
a job? some of these people..are covering up sickness...

personal space..is defined by every person....and based on who they
are interacting with...like family/loved ones..versus strangers...

& while i know my body isn't going to impress others....it "is" all mine,
and i always been kind of fond ..of it...so i don't like others touching
it...without permission.

i see where the husband..was calling and trying to explained his wife's
mental conditions..why wasn't he escorting her..if really cared? the
bottom line..security/law enforcement personnel..are not professionals
mental health care providers..& do not have the skills..to deal with
acting out/dangerous situations...& it is much more complicated than
the public..can even imagined. what if she was on a plane/..actually
her behaviors were terroists like....she was indeed combative..and had
lost her self control.

* i posted on another site..that showed a pic. of an old mental institution.
i can't expressed how offensive it was..to hear a person talked about
how the "workkers" beat a pt. to death. talk about a lack of knowledge,
of a lack of thinking. i wonder/..how would she dealt..with a totally
out of control person..trying to kill her? dhe made no observations how
many nurses are killed avery year..working mental health. surprise?! we
don't get pay anything..to be attack..., ps, alot people making the news
end up with us... . you know? true mental health pts....are
our favoirites..and are so rewarding to help...its the fakers, the abusers,
getting out of legal problems..& those that are not mentally ill, that
they still dumped on us...that task us the most. like alizhimers...they
don't have enough mind left..to be mentally ill. sweet old people..that
will knocked you head off..or worst...or like brain imjuries..*in society
we label too much, that really isn't...so they can throw them all together
where everyone..is in danger...

knocked on wood, but in 17 years..i have never been hit.


boy! society lack of mental health..is why, so many sick people are
doing so much damage.

as for that woman 's death..its but, reality is: etoh can be
comsumed by adults. no one forced her. her husband knew she was going
for treatment..and chose not to escort her. the consequences are
self evident. blaming others is ineffective coping.

wow , baby n.?..whats going on...they're ow claiming..1/150 babies
instead of 1/166 ..autism....

PJ- at least you tried with My Fair Lady.... I may have actually been in that musical as an extra in a former life.

I need to clarify this point. There were parts of the movie that were fine. AND I think I would have liked it A LOT better if we had watched it in multiple sittings. It was waaaaaay too long. I was just so mad at her the whole time. I felt like she got everything she deserved, she brought it upon herself. And really, any movie where you go killing babies, I just don't get where that's necessary.

I just have to tell this story because, well, I just do. I try not to tell funny kid stories because I know they can't be as funny to anyone but me but this one cracked me up. I was looking at the globe with some first graders and we were looking at the different continents and pointing them out. They were showing me which ones they recognized, things of that nature. One little guy says, "oh, I know what continent that is, that one's the Mafia!!!!!" (It was Africa). Through my trying not to laugh I mentioned to him that while, it does in fact sound a lot like Mafia, that continent is Africa. To top things off, another little boy says "OHHHH.....so THAT's the Mafia!!! My dad has been to the Mafia a lot of times!!" Even better, his dad is our IT guy. He's like the biggest nerd ever. I have to say that was one time I did not sucessfully hold my laughter. Africa, Mafia, same difference. I wouldn't really want to go to either one.

Nab, I made it to the meeting on time, in fact I got there at 8:45. I even woke up before my alarms went off! But had I known what the agenda was, I might have skipped it. It was a Diversity presentation on Halloween around the world, and an awards presentation to 4 people, that was it!! But at any rate, I was there.
