Well made it to church and there was a reception after for the Deacon that is leaving. He was the one that sets up the ball games.

Hannah was up in the middle of the night because she had a bad dream. The dinosaur from Night at the Museum was chasing her. So she stayed in our bed for a bit.

Twinkie-- glad you checked in. Hope your not doing to much you your condition.

My kids like to do the floors. Especially since they discovered they can wrap their feet in towels and skooootch around to dry them.

I vote for Merry Maids.
How would it be to have a maid? I KNOW I'd clean and tidy before they came over to clean. Really, to have her view the boy-toilet would embarrass ME!

You hit the nail on the head on why I haven't hired someone sooner to come in to clean I'm going to get crackalackin' this pm since I was in relaxation mode all day yesterday.

I agree, Moo! It's easier to throw out other people's stuff too!

My DD doesn't have any problem throwing MY stuff out! I have to check the trash when she's home

Sandy, have her keep a book on her nightstand. Tell her if she can't get back to sleep to read a bit. That may work, however, mine would sometimes read an entire book and never go back to sleep

He is a keeper,isn't he? Only thing, after this awesome cruise we just took, he is on a cruise kick. Driving me crazy asking if I booked anything yet. I just keep replying-"yes, tuition,room,board,books,etc for 2 to the University and the Polynesian for August." When I had surgery last year, he became the laundry expert ! I'll tell you, his towels were a whole lot softer than my towels! He said the secret is plenty of Snuggle, that Downy just doesn't cut it

Nothing wrong with being on a cruise kick I say but you do need to mix it up. I wish we could have snagged the Aug 2008 15 day cruise on the Magic.

I should be tidying up too but am too tired. Hannah has a friend coming over soon so it would be worthless anyway. To little girls probably can do pretty good damage to my house. They will be going from one thing to another I'm sure.

Moo--I try to throw things out to but the kids take it right back out. And hubby is a pack rat too.

Well... back before the girls,when I was still working, he'd have dinner ready every night. when I finally became pregnant and stopped working ,I called my mother every afternoon because i had no idea how to make anything. Now he cooks when I'm not feeling well and he is also the grill master.

poly, you're making me even MORE jealous Actually, my hubby is pretty goog at grilling too, but he doesn't put bbq sauce on anything. And he doesn't like "diet food" so he often cooks his own dinners. He does this when I work late, too. I think I stopped for takeout for myself about three times last week because I knew I wouldn't feel like cooking when I got home

sort of on topic. When I was in 12th grade English Lit. the teacher made us break up in pairs and gave us "scenes" from books. My friend Robin and I got to be Jim and Huck. We had to act out our scene in front of the class. So not only was one of nicknames Scout, I was also referred to as Huck for the rest of my senior year. hee hee.

Quiet here. girls are in their rooms( actually the youngest is in a state of shock as my husband grounded her for a week) and husband is napping before work.
Nab- don't encourage him! sheesh! That's all he needs is encouragement!

What happened to the cool parents...

To tell you the truth I wish my hubby do more of the grounding. I am the bad parent and he is the nice and play with the kids dad. Because he doesn't see them as much.

That happened today at the church for the reception. Nichlolas was heading for the table for a second piece of cake but I stopped him. The I turn around and he has another piece. Dad said he could.

Dad has been gone since then. I have a high sugar kid to deal with thanks.

Anyway...yes only 4 more days X 2 times to the bus stop a day. And only 4 more days of making boxed lunches. Love that more.

she has been deliberately been mean to her sister and then was mouthy to me on the phone this morning. That was the final straw. My husband heard her ( good ears,eh?) and said she was grounded. She thought he was kidding
We've raised them to look out for one another and won't tolerate this treatment. We have hardly any family and when we, the STILL cool parents, are gone,it will be just the two of them and their families. So, it will be a very long week for ME! He'll get to go to work and sleep during the day.

Well sugar boy snuck a piece of banana bread when he got home. Then my company brought a Turtle Brownie mountain cake. Guess who got a piece of that... I didn't want to argue in front of them so I let him have a piece.

He did not get anything for dessert either. Plus I sent him to the store for milk , guess what he asked for a slurpee... He had more in one day then he usually has in a week.
