wow, sandy! you DID go all out!
rosh hashanah is easier - honey, bread (challah bread, I think?) and apples.

I had loose leaf tea this morning too!
I only bought two souveners on this trip to WDW - a mickey tea ball and an alice teapot spoon rest.
:cutie:
I bought two different kinds of loose tea at the southern women's show - almond cookie (black tea with spices and actual almonds - soooo yummy!) and chai.
mmm.
with splenda and half and half, I'm in heaven! :cloud9:

Jason's running a fever.
Addie gave us both her cold.
Fun!
so no egg hunting today.

Sandy I too love Pot STickers or steamed dumplings.....my most favorite item to get at any chinese restaurant.......YUMMY.

The ham is in the oven....hubby took it downstairs to weight it because the weight was not on it......I love to win things but when they called and said I won a ham I thought okey a ham......but this is half a pig honest.......fifteen lbs anyways..
Spinach is cooked, hard boiled eggs(deviled if I remember), carrots are cooking now ....I will make the peas, corn and salad right before we are ready to eat....oh Yah baked taters are going to be ready to put in oven at fourish.....I made the pie last night and DIL is bringing Megans birthday cake.....a celebration for sure.........my little princess is going to be 3 on the 18th....but we are going out of town that day......and then countdown to disney. We are going the 25th and coming home May 3rd......I am almost ready to go honest....

I had better go and wrap the presents for our princess

See ya later

Sandy, your brunch sounds just YUMMY! Dang kids!

I never tried to make Coq au Vin. I fact, I never had any....

Cel, bummer about the cancelled egg hunt tand the colds.

DD is over today for dinner. Heart attack on a plate is in the oven, about another 30 minutes. She and DH are watching Yentel in the other room.

DD said my new job is her dream come true, LONG hours in the OFFICE.
She always hated my sweet office hours. GRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, im off to slice some french bread.

Happy Easter to all my friends!

MamaCel - I miss my MIL when I go past her house too. Today she would have been 78.

Cel - Sorry to hear about the colds! I'm having some Celestial Seasonings Lemon Zinger tea right now- it goes down a lot easier than cold water.

Sandy - Your brunch sounds yummy! Hope the kids showed up right after you posted.

My daughter is old enough that we didn't do much this year. Just a little candy.

Well, my turkey breast is in the oven, but my sister isn't coming over. She came down with a cold yesterday so we just talked with her on the phone :guilty: I'm sure we'll have a nice little family dinner anyway.

Hope everyone's having a pleasant Easter! :goodvibes

I love that hymn! We sing it often in our church.

Celery - I cannot believe you didn't go to church on Easter Sunday! Shame shame. ;)

:yay: the kids made it! and of course i'm going to get yelled at by dh because I told them I was hurt they came late! Then DIL says its all sons fault for not communicating... (um I called her 3 times to confirm the menu - she's lactose intolerant as of 2 months ago! so I wanted to make food she'd like! She decided to make deviled eggs for her family BEFORE brunch, when last night they were to make them after! :sad2: WHICH IS TOTALLY FINE. just tell me first! My brunch sat waiting 2hours for us!)

oh well, its the way of the world...

Easter Bunny left some fun items!! Movies - Anastasia! Indiana Jones, its amazing to have them come out on dvd - and on the $5 aisle!! :rotfl2: Clever bunny left dog items, (a half a silicone bone - the other half is a mold to add water and freeze!! frisbee, 2 bags of dog treats, oh and a ball that is motorized and runs around bouncy like!! lol) jelly belly's are fun to try and figure out what flavor!! Hid 3 dozen plastic eggs!!

Cel do you make your challah from scratch? We do for Rosh Hoshanna - oh, and I now know what to get for my Jan souveneir!! A MM teaball!! cool! Sorry to hear the colds are going around your home! We've never had warm weather to hold a hunt outside!!

Moo you must have a variety of teas handy! How are you feeling? How are your knees?

Pumba 15# :scared1: How many are coming over??? Our church youth group is having a pig roast next month!! 3 on the 18th... aww how sweet, 3 is a sweet age!! DS turns 21 on the 15th - we're going out twice!! When DS #1 turned 21 I took him to the microbrewery in town (DH was out of town) so we've decided its a tradition!! LOL

I make major baked beans - 1 can butter beans, 1 can small beans, (pinto? no navy? maybe??) 1 large can Bushes Baked Beans - 1# of ground beef - mix in the crock pot adding ketchup, a tad bit of yellow mustard, white and brown sugar - let bake for a long time - oh forgot, add some bacon and molasses!!

I'll start dinner in an hour - we have to clean up from Brunch first!! :rolleyes1

Marita I watched a tv cooking show on PBS make a coq au vin - it looked good, I've never had it either- - but I dont get to fancy with chicken!

Sandy, I am putting off washing dishes too. Luckily my dinner is done and over with.

I am bored to tears................

our main clock battery must need replacing - it gets stuck some days (today for instance) at 1:45 pm :faint: who knew it was 4! :scared1:

I have a TEN POUND ham to cook :faint: and criminy I put off the dishes, so I had to wash dishes before I could prep the ham!

BTW today has been the most interesting day! Its all Oprah's fault btw! (did anyone see her show on talking to your daughters about.... s*e*x?) :rotfl2: I gave dil my back issues of O - and this month's is the "talk" so of course... but when anyone said that 3 letter word, dd ran out of the room screaming - so of course it was an interesting discussion day!

Then DS#2 came with his gf and we had to tell them what they missed :rotfl2: and I love his gf memories as she was born in Russia - she was saying since they talk so many languages that most of it goes over her parents head, they just talk about it in front of them... (like idioms, " a turn on" goes over their head)

Hope that gives you something Marita!! Can you imagine the talks here? I know you're happy you missed our "s*e*x talks"

and on Easter too!! :sad2:

I'm just in shock how fast time has flown here!

Thanks for the entertainment, Sandy. I remember the "talk" with my mom  :rotfl2:

I just turned on "27 dresses" on HBO. Good luck to me following the story, my attention span for movies sucks. I called DS to see what he was up to, but I got voicemail.

I think I wil tackle the dishes and put in some laundry while the movie is on.
I bought banana nutbread mix yesterday, I don't know what possessed me, I bake maybe once every 10 years (and never from scratch). SO I might try making that tonight too.

Celebrity apprentice at 9pm.

So I got this message:

Marita,
I had a friend in the mid 1960's in the Orlando area named Mike M. Thought I might find him on FB, but no Mike or Michael. We worked at the Orlando Sentinel. If you know who that might be, please let me know. If not, so sorry for the bother.
Have a great day!
Barbara

Yep, that sounds like DH, alright, LOL.

I told her I would let him know she is looking for him. She lives in Alabama, no marital status specied.

Under interests in her profile, she said: MEN :rotfl2:

Gonna have fun with this:cool2:

Okey i am pooped.....end of that ......the ham was delicious and especially delicious as it was FREEEEEEEEEEEEE.....

Megan loved her gifts as all three year old kids would.......we also gave both of them an Easter card with twenty dollars so they can spend it in Disney....they will get whatever they want anyways......hahaha.....but this will be what they will buy with their own money...

I have a confession ........I didnt go to church either.....having a lot of issues lately about church.....or should I just say my church....I deleted a whole post a few posts back cause it was long and drawn out.......My belief is still there but just questioning some of the things we are supposed to not agree upon......
One of them was that 9 year old child that was pregnant in So American and her parents let her have an abortion.......they were all excumunicated from the church.......because of that......I dont see what benefit a 9 year old child who had been raped ....in having a baby.....so I am in questioning mode I guess........will think more about it and maybe start looking at some of the other local churches........
ANYWHOOOOOOOO....hugs and many hugs to you all........

Pumba, I agree with you. Making a raped 9 yo is just WRONG! She was just a child herself. Same for anyone raped in my opinion.

back away from the pb eggs Marita!! (or it them all in one night - isnt it the same amount of calories either way?)

Pumba - I totally understand. In my youth I was a "Bible Thumper" long story - but I learned tolerance - - but some of the churches I belonged to - were harsh... I think that I know best - I dont need no humans telling me how much to give, or who to pray to - my faith is between me and God... but I do need the social aspect of the church, I know to keep in mind my church is human, and just like me, we all make mistakes... its hard tho... Many is a year where I'll go to a Good Friday service, but not Easter... or if I havent gone to a Lental service. .. I wont go to Easter...

but since I want to do the mission trip, I want to set a better example for dd.. so we went today!

but I support you Pumba!!

my 10# ham was a little on the fatty side imho - and it took a lot longer to cook than I thought - it didnt help that my living room clock stopped - and I was waiting till 3 to cook the ham - didnt start it until 5 :scared1:

I hear you on the ham, Sandy.

I made the banana nut bread tonight. It kind of crumbled around the edges, LOL.

I cooked entirely too much this weekend. I have leftover chicken ala king (sent some home with DD), heart attack (only a little for DH), a frozen lasagna I cooked last thursday and then didnt feel like eating. DH made cheese noodle casserole Friday, some leftovers of that too. PLUS I bought the tenderloin to make tomorrow for steak Diane. Where is the bursting at the seams smiley?????????????

Well, I have tomorrow off, but lots planned (not fun things). I need to get an oil change (can you say boring?), laundry, cook the steak, call about some bills, do some minor shopping for miscellaneous things (like a wallet, mine is dropping coins left and right), and get my nails done :scared1: I have said a thousand times before how horribly boring that is. I was hoping to wait till just before I leave for Germany, but my nails are getting too long for typing, so I have to bite the bullet. (I need typing for work, you know)

I am going to need a vacation day after tomorrow, LOL. Not gonna happen soon, with moving offices, a new job, then going to germany, then straight into budgets for 3 months at the new job, coordinating 16 hotels. :sad2:

Thanks Sandy.......your post makes me feel like I am okey still........just questioning...

I got up early today and the sun is shining brightly on the living room floor and Megara is laying in it.....she loves a morning sunbeam....I put the trash out and the recyle bin and hope that the winds dont blow trash all over the place..

Today Megara goes to the vet and gets a bordetella shot so she can reside in the kennel for 8 days....poor thing.......she will cry for me......the shot should be given at least a week to ten days before they go so it will get into her system......she is just at the end of her last shot goodness......I didnt tell her about the fat farm though.......when she sees the suitcases come out of the closet then she will know.........

guess I will fix up the baby items for Ava as she will be here in a few minutes.

have a good day people

 to pumba. hang in there.

maybe we'll both start our new church search next week.

I was actually looking forward to visiting a catholic church - but Jason doesn't attend regularly.

you leave the catholic church and I'll join!
:lmao:

I have a very long drive ahead of me. icky. all the way to albany ga.
I should be on the road, but I slept in a little.

now I need to go mapquest it.

CNN said there are more storms through the area I have to drive in! ack!

I was going to borrow Jason's gps, but we forgot to get it out saturday.

I see word is out that I have a day off, and posting is kept to a minimum, LOL.

I had a bit of a scare this morning. Checked my work email, and knitfreak had cancelled all her vacation time, including the time off for her wedding :scared1:
I called her and got voicemail, but got a hold of her later. Turns out she moved them from my calendar to my replacements, all is fine, whew!

This show looks like it might be interesting:

Dating in the Dark – premieres Monday, July 20 (10:00-11:00 p.m.) – This unique alternative series asks the age-old question, "Is Love Blind?" Each week, three single men and three single women, all looking for love, will move into a house together, but be totally sequestered from the opposite sex. While they will have no chance of seeing each other in the light, they will have the opportunity to date in a completely dark room. Looks will be taken out of the equation as the men and women get to know each other and form bonds in total darkness. After several days of dating in the darkroom, the participants will select the one member of the opposite sex that they want to see revealed in the light. For the first time, the participants will see whom they've been dating, wooing, kissing, snuggling with and forming bonds with. And after they see each other in the light for the first time, they have to make the difficult decision... do they stay with the person they fell for in the dark, or leave them behind?

I will be on ABC network.

Well, I better hit the shower and take my car in for an oilchange.

Cel, safe travels!

Sorry Marita about the posting to a minimum. I am up to my eyeballs in schoolwork that I didn't do over the weekend since we had company.

I am grading tests. It is boring too. I guess I should be happy I am not taking a test :confused3

Easter went will but I am really tired today.

Got to hold Bella a real long time. What a sweet baby.

Easter2009023.jpg

We were putting her in Hannah's build a bear dress she is that small.... Thanks for all the prayers for my SIL. She signed herself out of the hospital for the weekend but has to go back today for more tests. They think she will have to do bypass surgery. She sure looked tired.

Marita-- Don't think I noticed the Ivory Tower....hope you like it there and won't be so stressed.

The kids are home today it is still a holiday for them and gov't offices.

Busy doing wash from them weekend and the water hose came out of the pipe. I had water all over the laundry room floor. What a mess. Hope it stays in there now I just shoved it back in. It did have a tie on it and the service guy cut it off to move it out. I wondered it it needed to be put back on...yes it does. :sad2:

Have go watch Ellen soon, didn't P.J say she was there on today's show.....

Hi everybody. I'm around (as opposed to a square smartypants people)
