Marita -- I second Celery your are entertaining us, we really missed you!! Hope you can get your sleeping pattern back to normal. Don't think they want you napping at work. :lmao:

I accept monetary contributions for entertainment. Please send checks to Sunbank in care of save Marita'ssanityandsendhertoHawaii.org. A minimum of $50 is appreciated. Please and thank you!

Then I have to get back for Monday to bake Hannah's birthday cookie. She wants to go to Chuck E Cheese for her birthday supper. Don't even know if it is open the holiday Monday. Better check.

Chuck E. Cheese? Boy, haven't been there in ages. 2 of my cousins my age have grandkids. One is a totally cute little girl of 2, 2 are identical twin boy of about 15 months. And they both live close to their respective grandmothers. SIgh!!!!!!!!!! None in my near future.

Anyway, have a great weekend, Nab!

OK, I'm, sttill all messed up. Sleepwise that is. Up again! I'm, probably messed up generally anyway.Live wirh it!
Butr this sleep mess is really getting to me.

This from the Yahoo main page tonight:

Do's and dont's of flirtirting with text messages. I dont even know how to send a simple text. LOL. Dont even remember my cell number. It's there to call AAA if I need it. Unless it ran out of juice.

My WD40 project is in progress, working ok, not super easy, but progressing. I should maybe work on it now and get itover with, but NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I had a website where they had "suggestive" texts - it was hysterical texting to dh - we "flirted" and had an "affair" with each other - it was totally and completely SILLY - and I think we need to do it again!! :rotfl2:

Marita I caught some "jet lag" somethin too - wasnt sleeping - but I seriously believe it was hormonal - I tried staying in bed to "fall asleep" Alcohol did not help - well it finally caught up to me yesterday!! Everytime I sat still I fell asleep!! I finally gave up and went to bed at 9pm, but figured I'd be up at 3am -nope, at 8am I thought IF I dont drag my lazy rear outta bed I wont be able to sleep tonight!!

what is going on?!!

Mony tomorrow - 1pm - GAME TIME! No cheap shots, no stupid penalities - "MOM" said!! ;) When ds was playing hockey, we'd often have to miss church - so I'd remind him "son, its Sunday, the Lord's day - please, STAY out of the Penalty box" :rotfl2: when playoff time came, I'd have a couple of his team mates beg me to let him get penalties!! :rotfl2:

They're, like, ready to blow their brains out," Potter said. "It's emotionally distressing
That's some good entertainment, Marita! :lmao:

Hopefully there won't be any in cincinnnnaaatti on monday or Portsmouth OH the day after memorial day.

about time somebody showed up. I am about ready to hit the dating scene on the CB for a new thread :scared:

Hopefully there won't be any in cincinnnnaaatti on monday or Portsmouth OH the day after memorial day.

Uhm...I'm pretty sure that's not the Peej-approved spelling for her hometown. Just saying.

Hello Moovers! Happy weekend!

Marita, welcome back! Glad you got to spend some time with your mom. Hopefully, your jet lag will be short-lived. Got any pics to share?

Cel, Mony, Sandy, Moo, et al......!!!

Jeez, it's been sooooo quiet here! I was able to get all caught up in just a few minutes. Hopefully, that means everyone is outside enjoying the weather and doing fun things. That's why I haven't been around much lately.

The kids and I went to Natasha's end-of-the-year Brownie party last night. It was a pool party at a nearby hotel. We also reserved a small meeting room in the hotel, where we all had pizza and snacks.

Today, Boris' soccer team won their game 7-2. The weather was warm, sunny and breezy -- perfect weather to spend time outside! After the game, I sat on the glider in the yard and watched the kids play ball and run around. Pretty much a perfect day! :goodvibes

Hope everybody's having a fantastic weekend!

Holy COW!!!!

Look what I found while looking for a soup (jager suppe, hunter's soup) online.

This will spin anyone's head!!

Wait, this is too good, I cant count on you people to look up the link, so I am posting a sample.

Celery wanted entertainment, anyway.

I tried to highlight the word Jager, I was lookikng for SOUP!!

SLF-COORDINATION
Höhle (1983) discusses constructions in which the subject contained within the first conjunct is able
to license a trace within the second conjunct, even though SpecIP1 does not c-command SpecIP2
(Höhle dubbed them SLF -CONSTRUCTIONS (Subjektslücken Finit; ‘finite subject gap’)):

in the forest went the hunter and caught a rabbit

like categories coordinate
! V-2 is movement to C°
PARADOX: The second conjunct has to be merged at the C’ level, in order to permit the verbs to
move to C°.But at the same time, the second conjunct appears to be situated in a structurally low
position, which resides in the c-command domain of the subject in SpecIP (coordination at the I’-
level or lower)
FOUR ANALYSES
! The second conjunct contains an empty subject (vanValin 1986)
! Asymmetric coordination: [X ] and [Y ], where X and Y are of different category label or
different X’-status (Heycock & Kroch 1994, Höhle 1989)
! Adjunction instead of coordination (Büring & Hartmann 1998, Thiersch 1993)
! Conjunction Reduction (Schwarz 1998, Wilder 1994)

Then I have to get back for Monday to bake Hannah's birthday cookie. She wants to go to Chuck E Cheese for her birthday supper. Don't even know if it is open the holiday Monday. Better check.

I've given up on trying to teach her how to spell Cincinnati. :snooty: See what a good teacher I am...after a certain number of attempts at teaching someone something I simply give up. :rotfl:

That sounds like a really nice weekend so far! Sign me up for the pizza and snacks.

I accomplished a lot today. Since I've been having to go home a lot, I had a bunch of annoying little odds and ends that needed to be addressed. I feel much better after my day of running around checking things off my to-do list! Also, the movie in the cardio theatre at the gym was Twilight, so my day was vastly improved. I have been recruited for an all day trip to Indianapolis tomorrow with bbn & co. Said trip commences at 7am. :scared:

Mommy brag alert: Zach played in his first real baseball game, where the kids actually pitch. He pitched 3 innings, struck out 9 of 11 batters. Not because the kids couldn't hit, they were good pitches, these are 10-11 year olds.

Just proud cause he really likes to pitch and, well, he's good at it:cloud9:

Carry on........great, now I'm all itchy.

Mony, congrats to Zach, and YAY for a proud Mama moment, gotta love those :hippie:

Today I'm taking the kids to my moms, so I can do all of her gardening. It's my present to her for mother's day.

Tim's heading to Denver again.

Sky is blue and the sun is out. Should be a beautiful day.

WOW.......looky looky........we are on PAGE 100.......we sure do talk alot dont we.......

This morning it is raining out and I slept in......well that is because I shut the door after hubby and Megara got up at quarter of six this morning.......GEESH...ITS SUNDAY DOG......
But hubby (not Megara) makes the coffee on the weekends.)......gotta love getting up ....testing my BS and then drinking a good cup of java.....

We have almost given up on looking for a camp.....well almost but not quite....there are some in the area we want but wayyyyyyyy out of our price range....we want a camp not a mansion......just a simple thing.....toilet, running water and electricity .....that is all....:confused3..

Have a good Sunday my friends

Sorry to have been MIA so much lately, Marita! Yesterday, I spent several hours catching up on old Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice episodes that I missed. The last episodes for both were :scared1: :scared:   :sad1: I'm not sure if that was the season finale for Private Practice.

That bed bug article really gave me the willies!

Cel - Hope you have BB-free travel!!! I'm going to be staying in a hotel tomorrow night. I'm taking my friend to Ann Arbor for a sleep study. They want to figure out if sleep apnea is contributing to her headaches.

Peej - You did cardio in a room at the gym where they were playing Twilight? That's kind of a novel way to exercise!

Lynette - Sounds like you've been having a very lovely weekend!

Our weather has been pretty chilly lately. I sure wish our weather would warm up. There's an art festival that I'd really like to go to this afternoon, but I'm not sure if my knees will hold out. I'm also trying to figure out whether I need to wear a sweatshirt or light jacket.

Mony - Yay for Zach! Hope Maddy is doing better.

Pumba - Sounds like you might just need to find some land and build the type of camp that you want.

Moo, art festival in the cold doesnt sound so hot

Re: knees. Mr. Knitfreak bought a portable scooter. He has a lot of issues due to a car accident some years back. I think he paid under $600, and it easily folds up and fits in the car trunk. But hopefully, your weight loss will help with the knee issues. Just thought I'd mention it.

My get up and go has got up and left! I have so much stuff I should be doing, like cleaning the house or laundry. But no, here I sit on my butt, being bored out my mind and not doing a thing! :sad2: I even did some work this morning.

Back to the salt mines tomorrow. Luckily, we start with a team lunch at Olive Garden. Well, not start the day, but the lunch week...
Also emailed a former associate of mine, a french girl, and we will try to get out to lunch sometime this week.

I neeed to get a new lamp shade. And get gas. And finish my WD-40 project. and clean windows. and sweep the foyer and and and.......

I need a cleaning woman! Or at least energy. Something!

so if Wings lose - its your fault - if they win, you cant watch the rest of the series!! :rotfl2:

Lynette

Cel BB free travel? safe travels anyways!

Marita jager.... how about a jager Bomb? They are all the rage doncha know? and I had to do a double take when you posted Marita'ssanity etc I thought you were trying to circumvent the rules :lmao:

PJ and BBN please smack my mil in the head - (she's in Fisher's IN just north of Indy) she told dh he couldnt come visit 3 weeks ago because she works on Sat, but low and behold she let her dd come visit.... she just doesnt want him in her life... actions speak louder than words, so smack her!!

Moo careful what you wish for - I hear we're headed for 80+ weather next week!! I'm thankful for this nature's air conditioning!!

Marita Olive Garden salad, breadsticks - yum!!

Mony :woohoo: for Zach!

:cheer2: GO BLACKHAWKS!! :cheer2:

:worship: to WD-40! After 4 1/2 years, I finally got the tape residue off the patio doors that nothing would take off. Of course, now they are a streaky mess. What is needed is a good pressure washing, but that won't be happening indoors. So I have some handcleaning to do, blech!

I'm looking around the house to see what else I could possible spray oil on, LOL. Scary thought.:scared1:

You dont suppose lampshades and WD-40 would mix, do you???

w00t! I managed to walk around the art festival for a couple hours! I think it helped a lot using a cane. I ran out of steam toward the end and had to stop and rest a few times, but it's been a very long time since I've had that much stamina. Plus, I ran into a friend who I hadn't seen for a few months, so it was nice catching up with her. And I got to see her daughter, who I haven't seen for many years.

I had some pretty good shopping luck too. I found a couple things for my friend's son who is graduating from high school, a pottery mug for a Christmas gift, and a sign that says "IT IS WHAT IT IS!", which is a frequent saying of people on my project team. I think I'm going to give it to my division chief at our weekly project meeting tomorrow. I think he'll get a big kick out of it!!! Of course, I could have spent a LOT more, but I was trying to be conservative because we're going to be having six unpaid furlough days over the summer. Boo! At least they are on Fridays, except that we'll be having the Monday after the 4th of July holiday off.

Marita - Yay for getting the adhesive off your windows! The weather ended up being not too bad. I work a sweatshirt over my top for a while, then it was so sunny, I no longer needed the sweatshirt when I wasn't in the shade.

:eek:c~girl!!! , portsmouth , ohio..is my birth place.

what ..a small world...it is after all? :lmao:

[ very interesting place..including roy rogers ' boyhood home. ]

Really, lil g? It's such a not pretty place for such a pretty person! I'll take a better look at it next time knowing that someone as great as you came from there.
:hug::hug::hug:

I have spent the night watching Survivor. Finally the person I wanted to win , wins.....

Mony-- Yay for Zack! But be careful they don't put him there for long perionds, for sure not a whole game. It will wreck his arm. We had a good pitcher last year the coach did this and the poor boy was out mid season because he wrecked his arm. :sad2: Nicholas favourite spot is back catch. And he is good at it too.

Moo -- pretty windy here and on the cooler side. Sounds like you had a great weekend.

Marita-- glad you got your tape off the window. Hope you can sleep tonight.

Hannah's birthday is tomorrow and I just finished wrapping her gift, will putting it in a gift bag. I am playing a trick on her though. Mean mommy, first she thinks I haven't bought anything for her because we went shopping a few times this weekend and she didn't see me buy anything or break away from them to buy in secret. She wants a webkin turtle which I have bought but Nicholas bring home a green bristol board for his project and I told her I could make a turtle out of it..... So I bought her clothes so I put this home made turtle between the clothes. The real one is on the bottom of the bag. under tissue paper.

Nicholas got her a teen magazine because she wanted one or posters. This way she got both.
