I read back a page - so nice to see Lexi and Uma hanging around - Twinkie and BBN too!! I know I havent been adding to the thread count like Marita and PJ and Moo - Sounds like MommyP is going to have her days filled with joy!!

I tried to go out wogging yesterday... sad... came close to having a vertigo episode, which almost led to a panic attack - it was hot out tho - not Floriday hot - but close!! Its raining today - so I'll have to get out the 5# weights and pretend to get some exercise in!

Still at the lake. DH has an interview today and hopefully tomorrow! Jetski broke down - There's nothing to do here when its a rainin like this!! My mom is taking dd school shopping - her red locks have been covered up!!

Lexi well at least you are reading something worthy! I'm still reading the "romance novels" (Regency period - dukes, and viscounts... )

Marita I love how FB randomly goes thru the email addresses and suggests friends - It always shocks me when I see my DS or his gf pop up on the list!! ITA with you - I dont friend them either!! Altho I do have the kids from the Mission Trip on my friend list! (and I dont post on their wall, but every now and then I'll comment on their post or click "I like" this) It feels really weird!

I dont know how I"m going to get in shape for the Marathon!

MP.....You do that whole middle-of-the-night birthing thing better than me. I was exhausted the next day. Way to go! She's precious-adorable just like your other babies. And I love BIG babies! They are always so much more content than the skinny ones. At least in my limited experience.

Actually I have already used that name. But not spelled "correctly" because my grandma was Elizabeth. Good to know that Renee is still available. My daughter suggested St. Lewis so the baby could be named after Lewis (of Lewis and Clark) AND the city with the Big Arch. It is an improvement since she thought Grasshopper should be named Rainbow if he was a girl.

Peej- Of course I know what all the cool early elementary teachers are doing! Plus the bag of lucky charms was the highlight from the first day of second grade here on the prairie. Our teachers sent home a note asking us to list our child's strenghts and our goals for what they (the children) should accomplish this year. I was confused about how to answer that- my goal is that they would a)be ready for third grade b) improve in reading comprehension and c) have another year where they enjoy school every day.


All my handouts are ready. I popped by my classroom which was recently remodeled- as in still has wires hanging from the ceiling and no computer or projecter. The remodel was done by the Three Stooges and deserves a whole separate post. However my room does have AC and working bathrooms in the building.... unlike the room I had last semester. The contractor said that is going to be a month before they the bathrooms in the science building working.

However I like to show cool animations of stuff so I hope I get a computer/projector soon. Tonight lecture will just be me and an old fashioned white board and some models of the cell. My poor students.... maybe I should hand out lucky charms and some poetry?

I have no real news to report. We had a very nice day at Thugessori. It was our first real work day. Thursday and Friday we did crafty things and learned rules and procedures. Seems like a really nice group this year...only a few "special" friends.

Melinda ( my FB pal) gave me the link to your thread. Think the last time I was here was October or so and then I lost the link when my hard drive had to be formatted. My health hasn't been great and spending much time on the computer was not something I was able to do so I lost track of a good number of things.Anyway, Melinda told me there's a new baby at the Poppins' home and that new baby is a girl! WOW Congratulations Amanda!
I hope everyone is well and happy .
My husband has been out of work for some time now - any one need a great electrician? He has transfers in for a number of GM facilities and we're praying one of them needs electricians.
Our girls will graduate from UD in January and we're really proud of them.

Hi to everyone else.

I am in Skowegen Maine. We were in Lake Placid for few days. It was so nice and beautiful there. Very hot though. Not sure if we will be staying here one more day or moving on and right our of your country today. Not with out shopping though. Have to get my cereal and other goodies we don't have at home. Plus your Walmarts have way different stuff then ours. We may hit the mall in Bangor.
