Great job CEL!!! If you need a "test taster" I know one who doesn't live too far away. :rolleyes1 ;)

BBN - You get what you ask for! :rolleyes1 Scary about that kid! :scared1: Did he end up being ok or not?

Sandy - Enjoy the lake! :thumbsup2 All the other problems will still be there when you get back, but go enjoy time with your family. You can't get times like that back ya know. ;)

I'm SOOOOOO glad tomorrow is Saturday and we can sleep in. :cloud9: Luckily, DD's bus is coming later, so the 6:00 alarm has been reset to 6:20. :thumbsup2

w00t on 20 more minutes of sleep, Allie!

I rather enjoyed waking up early today at 6:30 am (despite the nightmare). Leisurely paper reading for a while. Then I made the mistake of logging into work, now I have knots in my stomach again :sad2: so I logged out.

I think I will go do some dusting and vacuuming and take the car for an oil change.

DH, who took the day off to clear his room to get ready for painting is sleeping (again), LOL. So I better get out of here before I get roped into helping him.

Late edting so I dont look like a posting fool:
DH still hasn't moved anything in his room, I think :sad2: but I'm about to nag him about it, since he is the one who had the plans, makes no difference to me.

Got my oil changed today, picked up a weeks supply of wine while I was out that way, got some touch up paint for my oven hood and some Mickey D's fries and did some more work. I think a nap is in my near future. Well, it's now an hour later and still no nap.

I got just an email to sign up for a class for Finance people at work that sounds interesting. Putting together persuasive presentations. First time I have seen this.
When do the offer it? (one and ONLY day offered!) Right in the middle of the week that is month-end, forecast and Budgets Round 2 week!!!!!!!!!!

What kind of rock do these people live under????????? This was posted by "Finance People Strategies" and they don't know about super major double crunch time??

reading my food and wine cookbook for starter recepies: mmm, goat cheese and feta cheese stuff looks mighty good to me at the moment, but alas, I don't have any and going shopping tonight not likely to happen...

I'm rambling...... Their coming to take me away, hee hee haa haa ....

Just posted this on FB:

Thinking of making this tomorrow: Cognac Almond Truffles 1/2 lb chopped bittersweet chocolate 4 tablespoons unsalted butter 2 large egg yolks 1 tablespoon cognac 3/4 cup toasted sliced almonds Melt chocolate, etc, let cool and roll in almonds. Of course I have to get a food processor first, LOL

Makes about 3 dozen

I'm thinking of taking up cooking as a hobby in my old age, and I havent even seen the Julie and Julia movie and I hate to cook.
Penne pasta with italian sausage, garlic and ricotta and fresh mozarella and parm is on the current plan, as are large crimini mushrooms stuffed with goat cheese and seasoned with rosemary

I probably should eat some dinner............

Like Nab I guess I'm heading out of town tomorrow.. :sad2: I should go to church on Sat and Sun - but DS and DIL are going to the lake - and want us to join them - dh is going on a Boy Scout campout - and its supposed to be super HOT and HUMID!!
( hey Moo what are you up to this weekend??!! *g)
DD and I had words - and DS and I had even more words - and DH still has no work - so I'm done.

So I guess I may as well go home to Mommy!!:upsidedow:hippie:
Sandy - I have a work-related meeting tomorrow morning. I have to get up at o'dark thirty to go to it :sad1: Not sure what I'm doing after that, but I am DEFINITELY sleeping in on Sunday! Have fun at the lake!!!

Oh, and I know what you mean about the scarcity of waterbed stores these days. Thanks for the reassurance on adding a person at the podium.

**I would like to thank everybody for doing "it". I was supposed to work a 4 hour shift yesterday and ended up staying over 12. And babies were still being birthed when I left. AND I have to go back today.

All I will say is be careful what you wish for, because I certainly asked for more hours. Why is there no happy medium???? lol
Goodness, when it rains, it pours, bbn!

My friend's DD was heading for a C-section tonight, last I read on FB.

Marita - Sorry your day didn't go quite as planned, but a bad day at home has got to be MUCH better than a good day at work! ;)

Cel - Nice job on the cake!

MommyP - But it will be just perfect cousin-wise if you have a girl! princess: princess:

Marita - Sorry your day didn't go quite as planned, but a bad day at home has got to be MUCH better than a good day at work! ;)

Hey, at least I found the almond cognac truffle recipe. HA! And Sasusage penne pasta.

Actually, Moo, I didnt have a bad day at all (except for knots in stomach that I would have had at work too).
I got stuff done. DH didnt, but that's his business.

Heading to the Walmarts tomorrow to get a food processor. I swear I used to have one (or at least a blender), but where it is I have not a clue, I hardly ever used it.

So sorry you have a meetng tomorrow, that sucks!

contemplating taking a cooking class:

AMAZING PARTY FOOD
AMAZING APPETIZERS, BUFFET FOOD AND FOOD FOR AN AFTERNOON GET-TOGETHER...

or

AN EVENING IN TUSCANY
fABULOUS ITALIAN.

or

A CLASS THAT MAKES BIG FLAVORS AND QUICK COOKING A MUST. EACH MEAL WILL BE AN EXPERIENCE AND CREATE HAPPY NEW MEMORIES THAT WILL STAY WITH YOU AND THOSE YOU LOVE.BEGINNINGS (APPETIZERS), SIDES AND BREAD, MAIN DISHES AND SWEET ENDINGS

around $50 or more each, ughh! But I might just do one. Thinking of asking people at work if they might be interesting, that would be more fun.

40 weeks 1 day and still pregnant. Ugh.

IMG_0722.jpg

I look higher than I was 6 weeks ago, but it's just because the baby is too freakin big. :(

We took the kids to a hands on kids learning museum. It wasn't worth $56 bucks, but it was something to do in the AC for the afternoon.

Mommy Poppins, you look ready to POP, LOL

Maybe tonight....???

I just got back from the grocery store (3rd time this week, my usual patterns is maybe once every 3 or 4 weeks, since DH does most of the shopping) where I spent ungodly amounts of money on spices and cheeses and mushrooms and walnuts and almonds and snacks and various other stuff. I estimated at first $40, then I said, no self, probably more like $50. It came to $83 :scared1: Only about $25 or so of those were related to actual dinner food  Must stop spending money, must stop spending money, must stop spending money...................

I gave up on the dinner recipe I was eyeing last night (penne or some pasta with italian sausage), but I decided to give Cognac Almond Truffles a try, and mushrooms stuffed with feta cheese and rosemary (the recipe alls for crimini mushrooms, but none to be found at Publix, so I went with plain old white mushroom caps), and roasted walnuts with honey and chipotle pepper...

well mp?....are the boys....getting excited?

..let see, it reminded me of all the newcomers....to our family,:rolleyes1

....first sign?....all of sudden, jars of pickles..in the old fridge,

..& you know it was getting close..when "baby stuff'....started appearing

..on the kitchen table.

..our new baby..., might be the bay lake tower, dvc.

hello, I came over to see if any babies were born yet but I see that someone is still PG.
Today as hot as it was, I made home made sauce and let it simmer for fourish hours and then a birthday cake for our granddaughter and then lasagna and biscuits.......this is kaitlynns favorite meal and she leaves tomorrow for school......she is an RA so she goes back almost two weeks early to go thru more training.......her actual birth day is Tuesday but she wont be here......I will miss her so much...
so even with the AC on the house was a little bit warm.......we had ***i plum wine ( well us three mamas) and kait had fruit juice.....
just looked at the sink full of dishes and thought......HUH.......did we dirty all those....I am to tired to do them and my back hurts......so I will do those tomorrow.......when I am in a better mood and my back doesnt hurt..
Hope you have your baby soon

Lesson: Food and Wine magazine recipies are too fancy for me. I just burned butter and rosemary. But mushrooms are safe, might try again tomommow
If I am really brave, I might try the almond cognac truffles tonight, or maybe not........

GOOD MORNING! :sunny:

School has started and all is well. Having trouble getting DS in bed at a reasonable hour but what's new.

I cleaned all day yesterday. Had some old friends in town yesterday afternoon moving their daughter in at UK. Her twin (my godchild) will be moving into a nearby college next week. I'm glad to have them close by.

As I type Disney is teasing me by showing a picture of the Pop with a $69 price tag next to it. Sadists. I'm still thinking maybe I'll sublet my house next September when the World Equestrian Games are in town. I'll wait it out at Disney. Heh.

MP....Go for a jog! You look wonderful and so skinny everywhere but in the middle. What kind of camera do you have? It looks like our Canon at work.

Marita?....Cooking classes? Who are you and what have you done with our Marita?

BNCG....Glad you're staying busy?

Celery! Good job on the cake! The lettering is perfect....just like at the bakery!

Lil G?? Bouncin Baby Bay Lake Towers! w00t!

PJ? How are the little thugs?

Hello Sandy, Allie, Moo, WT and everybody else (except not Wendee since she forgot me last time!)

Where are Lynette and Twink?

HAVE A BLESSED SUNDAY!

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. ---Roman 5:8

Marita?....Cooking classes? Who are you and what have you done with our Marita?

temporary insanity, but I'm sure this too shall pass after last nights butter and rosemary burning adventure :sad2:

I have Ratatouille on TV. Can't say I'm watching it, since I have the attention span of a maggot for movies. I know there is a rat and men in white coats involved.

But I must have cooking on my mind, I read your Sunday quote as:

"while we were simmering......" :rolleyes1

Happy things are going well for you.

Now to go to some cooking I can actually do, Chicken A La King.

Moo, clean out your PM box!

Marita - Sorry to disappoint. No labor. Unless I just having back ache labor without real contractions. In which case that would be WONDERFUL. ;o) I had contractions ALL night that kept me up/woke me up and I had to actually relax through them. But this morning just crampy and backache.

I am in a bit of a pickle. Chad thinks I've dilated more since last night and I've started having some pink spotting. But I think my L&D nurse friend said she was out of gloves and would bring some home tomorrow(along with cord clamps. lol), the pickle part is my Mom has a pair of gloves, but if I call her for them so Leah can professionally check me my Mom is going to freak out. If I'm not doing anything/in labor yet I can't deal with my parents bugging me even MORE. lol. What to do... :confused3

I don't know...I think this baby is going to be born at home though. :scared1: Leah told me she can deliver the placenta also. So I'm in good hands as long as it's today/tonight. Tomorrow she is working.

I'm hungry, I wanted wraps for lunch, but after putting all the groceries away Chad didn't feel like cooking at the moment. Hopefully he doesn't put it off too long, just in case. ;)

Hey, isn't your oldest boy ready to fix you something? At least a PBJ, I would think. Can't let an on the brink mommyP starve.
I just finished chicken ala king, but it would be cold (and probably too late) by the time it made it down there...

Just found a very cute, BUT dead bunny in our backyard. :sad1:

I sent DH out to tend to it. :thumbsup2 We contemplated what to do, and decided the trash can. We may regret that decision come trash day.....Thursday! :scared1: Our city has decided to still charge us the same rate for trash, but reduce our service. :teacher: They only come once a week on Thursday's. We thought about putting it in the ditch behind our house, but we have so many cats around here, I'm afraid we would then end up with rabbit guts spread all over. Plus then it would put our yard on the "cat map", and I don't want that! ;) How 'bout that, I made a rhyme? :rotfl2:

MommyP - I hope you get some baby producing nourishment soon. Are you wanting a home birth? I thought you were going to the nice birthing center? :confused3

I feel pretty, oh so pretty........... NOT!!! Sitting here in a very old pink bathrobe while finally coloring hair. Such a pain!

Allie, yikes on the dead bunny!

Did I mention I hate coloring my hair? And getting nails done? And my new job? All necessary evils though.

My son popped up on FB as a suggested friend (as did DD before), but I chose not to add them (they'd probably deny me anyway, LOL)
